I just wish they could find a mate for that Racoon.

Sarah had one disappointing night (for her, not for him) and she calls it quits? This show puts people in aritificial situations, of course, but how often do you see a woman on national TV crying about not getting sex?

Sarah is such a spoilsport.

Cody is having to audition in the fantasy suite...what pressure.

No new arrivals, no date cards, no rose ceremony? Chris is asking them to be honest? I don't know about this.
Cody seems like a good guy and I do like Michelle, but they DO NOT seem like a natural couple. They are a vacation couple. I doubt they would last a few days back in reality.

Oh, that part with Bruce trying to buy an airline ticket was painfully bad. And the guy with the dog was bad and Amy showing up and having bought all the tickets to Stockholm - bad, bad, horrible. It was like high school kids wrote this - what's it doing on a network during primetime?
The support group could have been mined for comedy as the guys were trying to do with fake stories at the end, but when Birger was there it was stupid and unrealistic (he didn't know it was for widows/widowers?)
This show gets goodwill from association with Parks and Recreation (one of my favorite comedies of all time), but it is squandering the luck it had with some truly bad writing.

I was wondering if I missed an episode when I watched what are apparently episodes 9 and 10. (Emma's parents broke up?) This explains it, but WTF NBC? If you want to build an audience and fanbase, you don't skip showing episode 8.
I won't be upset if they cancel this show, but if NBC wants to keep it around, they need to commit to it and not skip major plot developments without explanation.

Do you all really like Christy, though? Too soon to say, I guess, but she is not good looking by this show's standards. She's probably the youngest one currently in the house, but she has little shape to her body and her hair looks fake. Claire, AshLee, Michelle - all over 30 and all better looking than Christy, imho. There's more to a person than appearance of course, but this a superficial show so that's got to count for something.

Love Cody speculating about Lucy's bra and panties.
Jesse really getting a lot of dates......
I think I'd take Lucy over Christy if I were him.

Robert played hard-to-get and it worked. Sarah was going crazy.
Is white nail polish the fashionable color now? I've seen at least two of the girls with white polish.

Last episode ended with the hint that Graham might turn down a rose.
Here's what I don't understand. If you are trying to "win", either by staying on the show to the end or finding a romatic partner, why would you EVER reject a rose at the Rose Ceremony? Even if you hate the person offerring you the rose, at least you get to stay another round and try to find someone else.
You should NEVER reject a rose if you are playing rationally. Maybe they're all too drunk to understand this.

One thing about AshLee is she's the most classically beautiful woman on the show. I don't mean the one I personally find the most attractive - that would probably be Claire - but AshLee has what many consider the Platonic ideal of womanly beauty - the cheekbones, the hair, the legs.
I''m sure she would be able to find some superficial rich guy to take her as a trophy wife. I don't wish that for her (or for anyone), but if she's just looking for a husband, women like AshLee can usually get a guy.
(Getting the right guy/girl is another matter, and that's a problem we all face,)

Kalon should have taken one of the other guys on the speelunking trip. That cave looked really cool. Who would say no?

Is Michelle getting paid by the producers to do the other girls' hair? I thought she did it cause she was just nice and good with hair, but she's saying how doing Sarah's hair is like a dagger to her heart, etc....If it's so uncomfortable, don't do it.

ABC is scheduled to show BiP both today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug 26).
That's four hours of paradise in one week! Don't know if I can handle it.

Björn Ulvaeus was actually a celebrity appearance that worked - they got some laughs out of it and his wearing the costume while at the hot dog stand.
But my thumb is down on this episode, especially the way it ended. Should not have had Bruce get excited when Emma says she is open to returning to New York. The show is asking us to accompany Bruce on this life change in a new country - don't suggest he is less than enthusiastic about being in Sweden.

I didn't like that fake alibi at the end either. Stuff like that happens on other cop shows, too. Do TV writers think that they have built up such sympathetic characters that the viewer are going to excuse illegal or at least immoral actions to get them out of jams? How about some policemen/women who actually follow the rules, and if they do something wrong, have to face the consequences?
Anyway, I have not been a regular viewer of this show, so forgive me for asking: Does Elliott come from a wealthy background? Because I can't believe he makes enough money in the NYPD to have what appears to be an upper class lifestyle.

Saw this for the first time last night (rerun). Was thinking how unrealistic the outcome was for Rollins. I'm no expert on police force personnel decisions, but how can they let Rollins remain a cop? Just because she got lucky and ran into Donal Logue working undercover? She dudn't do one or two bad things; she was a full-on operative for a criminal organization. I rarely worry about realism in TV shows but this just struck me as too unbelievable.

An overnight date? How fancy.
Unlike some commenters here I actually like that the people on this show don't "do" anything other than sit around and drink with an occasional dip in the ocean or horseback ride. It's not an exotic adventure; it's just folks hanging out and generating drama for the cameras. People watch the Bachelor shows more for the relationships - real or fake - than for the helicopter rides and expensive lodgings.

Wow, with the music during Elise's speech and the cuts to the reactions, they are really playing this for comedy.

Sarah's vocal fry is also annoying
Yes, was going to mention that. The least attractive features of all the women on this franchise, in general, are their annoying voices.

Is Ben the only person on this show with any perspective? Why are all those women crying? People are here for the "wrong reason"?? Hey, EVERYONE is here because they want to be on TV. "This is not just a free vacation" one woman tearfully complained. Yes, that's EXACTLY what it is, as well as a chance for you all to become D-level celebrities. This is insane.

S01.E07: Episode 7
in Bachelor In Paradise
Yeah, they are going all out with the comedy in the closing.
