  1. Yes! That drove me crazy! They got the bilingual signs and Peel Regional Police correct, but had a justice of the peace approve an asylum request? Come on, show. I did enjoy the Blue Jays shout-out, however.
  2. I'm intrigued by the pomegranate molasses that Nimah couldn't find at the store. That's all I got from this episode.
  3. Inside the writers' room. Really, it takes 8 of them?
  4. Oh good, I'm not the only one who was confused by that. I thought I had either missed an episode or had tuned out so completely at some point that I missed that fact. I guess this means he's not her dad. Though I wouldn't put anything past these writers.
  5. Between that and Natalie refusing to let Jeremy break up with her, these people come off as borderline scary when it comes to relationships.
  6. Wouldn't he have known her when she was a little girl? That would make it even more creepy.
  7. Was Piper living in Vancouver? I assumed she would have moved down to LA with her mom. I just finished my re-watch of season 8. I'm not going to get into the storylines, but what ticked me off was DD's name coming up first in the credits in the episodes he came back for. I also watched the promo spots on the DVD, and was really annoyed that for those episodes, the announcer would make a big point of saying "Starring David Duchovny!" and there would be a shot of him standing in front, with Scully and Doggett in the background.
  8. I'm only watching so I can come here and snark on it after.
  9. That's what happened to me yesterday. I forgot that it was on my list and watched it after it had been sitting there for a week.
  10. And 'Amin' is 'Nima(h)' backwards! I believe the term they used was 'perimeter.' Every time I heard that word, I knew there'd be an escape.
  11. For skin colour? I would have said medium or olive, maybe.
  12. I thought she said she was the first one in THE years they've done it to figure it out, meaning she was the first. As a brown person, I lol'd when they described Alex as having dark skin. She does NOT have dark skin.
  13. My. God. No. Few things gross me out more than seeing/hearing people vomit or spit.
  14. Possibly, but I'm not sure how it works. In addition to a ticket to the convention, which are sold out, you also have to get a wristband or something for the panel. So there's no guarantee.
  15. I saw today that the revival is going to premiere at NY Comic Con, and that there will be a panel discussion with David Duchovny and Chris Carter, moderated by Kumail Nanjiani. I'm so disappointed that tickets are sold out. I was ready to book a flight.
