  1. Yeah I think the shaking things up part is more with Gates exiting and Beckett being promoted. So even though Castle and Beckett will be separated due to whatever avenue they go down with Beckett, I don't see them going the marital problems route for what you put above (but my gut is immersed in a 4,500 word paper right now so is currently all over the place - so I'm probably wrong). Because the characters have been in a standstill so to speak (since Beckett came back from D.C.) it makes sense to shake up the situation.
  2. Schow and McMains were there last season. IMO, O'Brien's a great coup for the show in terms of experience, etc.
  3. Yeah Rob had already shown he could write drama when he did Detroit 1-8-7. He's a good example to use for being able to write comedy/drama, another one is David Grae - wrote a bad Gilmore Girls script but now is excelling over at Madam Secretary. So the new writers are Nancy Kiu, Robert Bella, Barry O'Brien and another female writer (my initial guess was Shannon Goss or Michal Zebede but I think they went from Revenge to other shows).
  4. I'd be going with copyright reasons for removing the photos (not because of privacy issues - even though the two go hand in hand at times) - since the film is still in production.
  5. Wendy if you go to the book thread and have read the excerpt from the next NH novel, it kind of covers the last question. Well I expect them to incorporate it that way if they go the Captain route. ETA: Agree with you about the Lt part though!
  6. I read the news and immediately though of Raging Heat.
  7. Hatra is Iraq, Petra is in Jordan, tourism is down due to the conflict in its neighbouring countries. But yes to Indie Jones.
  8. In terms of this project, I've been following Amin since Captain Abu Raed days so excited to see what he does with this one.
  9. Ah that's when 7 did awesome promos. They still do great sneak peeks for their shows, but stopped with those kind of promos (well on a regular basis) for the international shows.
  10. To be fair I don't watch The Following, but when I made the comment it was after seeing that some of the female writers who were there in the final season had worked on other procedurals, hence the possibility of them being able to fit into the Castle premise.
  11. Alexi worked with quite a few female writers on The Following, so he might be able to poach some of them (the ones that don't have a contract with WB that is).
  12. Sorry I don't have any info on the new writers coming in except for what verdana's posted above. If any get added to Studio System (before they're announced on Twitter, I'll pass them along).
  13. Regardless, if they did go down the political route or captain route, another thing I would like to see is the reemergence of Bracken alliance. Because that was one thing I actually agreed with AWM about. That there is no way just because he went down others wouldn't be there ready to pounce, etc. Yeah I'd like to see this too.
  14. And that's a dilemma that faces pretty much all actors when it comes to long-running series. I certainly wouldn't have had a problem if she had decided to pull the plug at the end of S7 (same mindset if Fillion had decided to pull the plug) because it's one of those two-edged swords when it comes to committing to a series.
  15. Heh, Luke was really using the rest of his budget up at the end going by those prices.
  16. Yep - just do something like in Driven with the time jump in that regard or even After the Storm or Resurrection (to incorporate flashbacks into a current situation). AtS for me was a great one in terms of how to incorporate flashbacks into something effectively.Plus flashbacks is always a good way to cover if actors don't want to appear in all the episodes, etc.
  17. This. Even though I would rather there not be a lot of themed episodes in Season 8. I definitely want them to have this one in the damn season. Plus if they did that they could immediately go into Captain Beckett if need be. As much as I like Gates, I kind of do hope they go the Raging Heat book way in terms of the precinct position that opens is at the 12th and not at another precinct. If they did that they could do a time jump with that or save it towards the end.
  18. I remember when they were filming the swings scene - I had gotten the info about Nathan falling off the swings at the time and it definitely made me laugh after a bad day at work that day. Regarding the having each other's back. I thought that was a great throw back to Watershed and how far they've come since there (My life, etc). If I remember correctly they filmed the barn scene for S6 at Newhall Ranch, while this one was done at Disney Ranch (but that is going off the top of my head).
  19. Add me to the list who thought this felt like a series finale. I have to say though I did like the Beckett speech. Purely because we got people calling her out on her actions for the past seven years before it and then she responded to all the allegations. Heh.
  20. Jane the Virgin wrapped much earlier than Castle did, so the writers would be starting back earlier as a result. JtV airs in an earlier timeslot than Castle.
  21. Yeah. I have no problem with them bringing back Bracken that I agree with. I did notice the little spiels for the finale state that the crossroads thing for Beckett are now being called a problem. Eh that screams getting into trouble at work and we want to reassign you.
  22. Yep pretty much a rehash of the other interviews (because they obviously came from the same roundtable interview). My final guess would be she'll get a chance to run a task force (which a lot of people have speculated) that way you can cover the bases if Stana and the others don't return. Plus it could then lead into the politics *ugh* which MilMar were talking about - though of course Hawley and TPW might choose to take everyone down a completely different route now.
  23. Thanks kfc for giving us the heads up on Dara the other day. I'm curious to see if Adler stays now, because he was another who Amann had worked with previously over at Without a Trace, etc.
  24. Yeah that will be the cover, because that's the poster they have been flogging all season (plus the one up at Raleigh Studios).
