  1. Amy could always be a homoromantic bisexual (sexually attracted to men and women but only romantically attracted to women). It'd be an interesting--and rare--topic for the show to explore.
  2. I really appreciate House and Wilson being in a canonical asexual romantic relationship on House. Even though neither character is asexual, it is by far the best representation of romantic asexuality I've ever seen in media.
  3. I hate Ghost Whisper because it was brought in as a "younger skewing" replacement for Joan of Arcadia, my all-time favorite show. Even though it ran for five years (three seasons longer than JoA did) and I never saw a minute of it, I was very happy when I heard of its cancellation.
  4. I had high-ish hopes for this show based on the promos but was disappointed. Primarily because I didn't find it that funny but also because it seemed to be half the dad getting offended at stereotypes being applied to him and half him being disappointed that his children... didn't conform to those stereotypes? That seemed weird to me.
  5. As with all other aspects of a relationship, wedding planning involves some give and take. The problem with Carrie in the movie was that after she got the dress, it was all take and no give from Carrie. Big flat-out told her that he didn't feel comfortable with a big wedding, and she just ignored him and kept adding more guests,
  6. That's something I wonder about every time I watch this show--do these people ever send text messages with any substance, or do they just purposefully not show those? Or am I the only person who holds actual conversations via text?
  7. Did we ever get any sort of timeline on how long Charlotte knew Harry or Trey before they got married? Both of their dating relationships seemed so very compressed, but I'm never sure what the length between or within episodes is in "show time"?
  8. I feel like the entire fiasco with Big in the first movie is Carrie's fault for being a terrible, selfish fiancee who never bothered listening to her fiance when he told her repeatedly that he didn't want a big, gaudy, highly public wedding, because damn if Carrie was going to consider anyone else's needs, wants, or feelings when she could think about her (not that great, IMO) dress.
  9. I also got the sense that Selita was kind of coming from the "maybe Brogan isn't gay" angle. Also, that's the first time I've heard the name "Brogan," and all I could think was it something an ultra stereotypical frat boy would name their son. Bianca's lip piercings made it kind of hard for me to watch this episode (mouth piercings in general just gross me out), but she did seem genuinely nice. I agree with the person who called bullshit on Durham being a small town. Even though it is Southern, it's also the home of Duke University, so it's hardly some tiny, insular, middle of nowhere farm town like they trying to portray it.
  10. Just watched this... to me, Adam came across as sort of psychopathic, to say the least. Making a fake account to tell someone to make a dating profile JUST so you can stalk it to seduce them? The way he positively grinned about screwing with Adam and the jackpot scam? Yeah. I think he saw the social anxiety group as a place to find easy prey to screw with and con. Yeesh, I feel like I need to take a shower.
  11. I really liked Alex, too, and hated how they just blatantly and suddenly assassinated his character for the sake of their Carrie/Big ending.
  12. I think the character of Veronica Mars, especially in Seasons 1 and 2, is a straight up and unabashed Mary Sue that the show never stops pandering to, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why she's held up as one of the best written female characters of all time. I think Orange is the New Black is really well-produced and find the characters' back stories interesting, but I just can't get engaged in the prison portion of the story. I can't even pinpoint why--I'm just not that into it. (Also, as the OP of the TWOP thread, thanks for re-starting it and keeping the name!)
  13. Not quite headcanon, but I was watching AT's Portlandia episode. She was a bookstore intern, and it reminded me so much of Joan and Sammy's store. So, maybe Joan moved to Portland and is still doing the literature thing. I question how much she would like the Northwest, though.
