I REALLY think that Kayla should fill the 'Coroner' position at the hospital. Because people end up in the morge, are carted/WALK away, and then no one TELLS anyone. I need a storyline where Kristen eats a sandwich and puts on 10 lbs. What possible excuse would they have for Ben not to go with Hope? Is he still 'programmed' and Marlena needs to de-program him?

I agree. I hold two apparently contradictory opinions at the same time. Because on the other hand, she keeps doing stupid shit. Jan Spears? Really? Yeah, I'm here for unfiltered John because she was bloody awful to him. But here's my personal bias. I HATE bullies. It's literally turned into a damn trigger for me. And Sami leans on bullying a lot. That's an issue for me. But again... I see the man behind the curtain, pulling the strings ... which is annoying and unfair to her character.

With Bobby back, and other little tidbits, I think there's a final scene where they ARE in heaven. With a little grey in their hair to imply their best days were yet to come if that's the age they think of themselves when dead. But it leaves open filling in the blanks between what we see (reunion in Heaven) and where we end the action (now time, both alive). Or not. Because all we know for sure is that the boys appear together in the final scene. Heaven, hell, alternate universe, or just another day...something....

It sure feels like they shifted the plots a bit, mid arc. Previously Chad was acting like an asshole constantly. Now he seems more normal Chad. Vincent losing his mind so quickly was just... bizarre. I liked Jake and Ben’s interaction. Julie’s back. *sigh* So Nibbles (TM someone’s Mom) is a secret villain. I mean, she was bad news before but what the hell does she have against Abigail? I love Abigail busting Jake. Good analogy regarding Gwen being a snake. And how does Vincent go from delusional to planting a car bomb IN THE CAR HE IS DRIVING, which he remotely blows up while running away. And no way was Ciara there.

I feel these should be action figures.

Definitely looks like Tripp is the baby daddy. And the triangle is going to be all blonde - Trip/Claire/Allie. Got that hint from dayscafe. Not outright, but close enough. I am HERE for no-filter John. That could be the most interesting John we've ever seen. I'm not happy with the star-crossed lover gets blown-up. I mean, I GET it's a soap opera. But they had like 2 days of being married between all the kidnappings. And I have to admit, I actually think that Ciara's experience with murderous Ben was a good story. They are clearly not going to ignore his serial killer background. And now he's going to 'lose' his wife (who may look different when she comes back!) for a while. Adding in revenge for Wendy was enough for me to say the dead have not been forgotten. That was the only part that bothered me about Ben's redemption. It was the sense that his victims were ignored. Clearly they've addressed it, along with letting Ciara see through the eyes of a victim. If anything, the final shoe is Serena. Not sure anyone will come after him for her sake (if Eric hasn't) -- maybe some future story. A long lost brother or something...

Binged watched two weeks. I'll go back and read everyone's posts but my first thought is that the show runs with multiple time bubbles, all operating at different speeds. John & Marlena - unnamed Baby Horton is home for ONE night and then John has an aneurysm and MARLENA HAS BEEN IN THE SAME OUTFIT SINCE THEN conversely Not only has Xander been made CEO... he's now CEO long enough to have 4th quarter projections (Baby Horton was born in July at the latest and is still only a few days old). conversely CIN got married in July, got Ben back, stepped into the John & Marlena bubble in time to not get help from her, showed up precisely on Sep 8th (which is tomorrow BTW) in Paige's dorm room, time warped Marlena -- IN THE SAME SUIT -- over for a quick hypnosis session -- and are now hunting Vincent conversely The Baby STILL HAS NO NAME but Sami appears in court with time to overnight Jan Freakin' Spears out of a mental institution (with time for a blow-out at a salon). Well, there the hard proof Luci is there. and Scene 28 took THREE days to shoot. Which I suspect is somewhat driven by Covid restrictions. I hope it works well. Cliff had his last day going to the studio on Friday and it looks like both Baby and The bunker have wrapped. Which makes 2 days filming.... where? And without BABY. if they stick with the last scene being a J2 only day, then it won’t be next to the car. I hope Jensen gets to drive Baby back and does so right away with Jared. Although knowing this fandom, they may go in secret so as to avoid crowds lining the highways.

It seems to me that the writers had some storylines planned. They also had long term budget strategy of rotating bigger budget cast in and out. Then Covid happened and they laid out their budget plan. A fair number were completely let go, and some balked at the budget rotation. So the writers took all the storylines, threw them up in the air like a deck of cards and then mixed and matched what fit with what cast they could get.

I'd buy tickets to see that!
