In other news, Bryan is already hawking merch via Instagram. Is this a new record?

My take was, is, and always will be that Peter was the one Rachel really wanted. In my mind there's no way she would fight so long for a proposal from Peter if she was in love with Bryan the entire time, as has been alleged. But what's done is done. I wish Rachel nothing but the best. She was a fantastic Bachelorette.

Going by social media, I think Bryan is the least popular F1 in recent memory. I was shocked at how he was getting absolutely destroyed on Twitter Monday night, and it wasn't all Peter fans responsible for it. It's media, bloggers, podcasters, and commentators who think he's full of it. Peter's not to blame for the way fans react to Bryan. Bryan brought it on himself. That said, Peter does get a ton of hate on Instagram, right there in the comments of every single picture he posts. Anyone can go and check it out for themselves. He likes plenty of comments making fun of him and lets negative comments toward him stand. I don't see him liking shady comments toward Bryan, but he deletes every negative comment toward Rachel, and blocks the people who make them. Rachel has some dogged detractors who can't get over the fact that she did an Instagram live months ago and said she didn't like Vanessa. It was a petty moment from her but I don't take any of it too seriously.

I think Rachel's family just liked Peter more than Bryan and it didn't have that much to do with the order in which they met the guys. While Bryan tries too hard to impress and say the perfect thing, Peter is more free and open about his feelings (and loves to discuss them in detail). I think after meeting Peter, who I'd say is easily is more logical about the process and what will come after, Bryan's fairytale promises and protestations that he basically fell in love with Rachel at first sight smacked of insincerity. It all smoothed over in the end so I didn't feel too bad for Bryan (not that I'm much inclined to sympathize with him in the first place, but yeah).

I think Rachel wants Peter like Bryan wants Rachel. Peter just has to say the word and it's over.

Bryan probably recycled those lines from the last dating show he was on. I feel like he's always trying to make a moment for TV rather than letting things happen naturally. So tiresome. I think Peter is into Rachel. He isn't as over the top as Bryan is with it, but I think the physical chemistry is there. If it wasn't there, I think Rachel is perceptive enough to know it, and I don't see her as the kind of woman who would beg and plead for some dude to be into her.

Eh, I tend to think Peter was joking. He was a kid. If he were truly that thirsty for fame and reality tv, he could have signed up for any old trashy broadcast to get his start. Something like UPN's The Player, for instance.

I disagree. I'd say just because he has dated a black woman in the past, one with a previous appearance in the franchise no less, it doesn't automatically mean that he's genuine. He gives me scammer vibes.

I don't want Bryan to be the Bachelor. I see way too many red flags with him, and he referred to Rachel as his "sloppy seconds." I'm not going to be able to overlook that. I think he's a smarmy fraud that doesn't respect women. It disappoints me that he's in the F2.

I feel sorry for Zakiyah. She's had the summer from hell.

Well, I'll say this for her, Nicole knows how to manipulate the guys in the house perfectly. She's currently got Victor wrapped around her finger. They all know she's not trustworthy, and yet she convinces them to trust her anyway. I don't know how she does it, but she's good!

I don't think Nicole is going to go after Natalie. I think Nicole honestly sees James as a friend. He just saved Corey for her and handed her HOH. The clear target is Victor. But, you never know with Nicole.

Annnnd Paul is down.
