  1. I finally watched....or I should say that I watched everything except for all of the Callie scenes. I just can't...I hate this entire storyline. It is beyond stupid and not befitting this quality show. On the bright side, I should be able to get through each episode a lot faster. I liked the Jesus drama. I hope that they do justice to this storyline. I also liked the Noah/Jude storyline. Is the actor playing Noah much older in real life because he looks so much older than Jude. Jude sure sobered up quickly once he got to the hospital. I gagged when Brandon went back to -- and had sex again - with Cortney. Good for her for ending things. Also liked how Emma called Mariana out and blamed her for Jesus getting hurt. Liked the AJ/Mike scene and how AJ apologized to Aaron. Good for Aaron for telling Callie that it is not her place to out a trans person - and for spelling out the danger that trans people face. I hate to say it but I think I am falling out of love with the show. ETA: Even the moms - whose story is really why I watch - didn't blow me away.
  2. I had the same thought. Either this or she was so distraught that she couldn't think straight.
  3. I am so not looking forward to the entire Callie storyline that I may have to FF through it all. Zero interest in seeing Callie in Jail. I'd prefer to see Callie trying to deal with her life after being adopted and the havoc that foster care played on her adolescence. The anticipation of this storyline is really diminishing my excitement over the show coming back tonight. Ugh. Enough already. OTOH, cannot wait for the Jesus storyline. It will give Jesus and Mariana - and the Mamas - terrific material to play. I used to adore Jude but I'm not cracked over Jude and Noah. Perhaps that will change. Brandon finally facing the music (no pun intended) and losing Juilliard has a lot of possibilities.
  4. A month at a specialty camp in the Adirondacks is going to cost a lot of money. I wish that there was at least a throwaway line as to how Kate is affording it. I'm sure it is not covered by any kind of insurance.
  5. My thoughts exactly. Plus Petra has children with Rafael. If he loses his inheritance, they lose it too. Justina Machado, who plays Darci, stars on the Netflix reboot of One Day at a Time and is fantastic. I also liked that Darci stood up to Xo and didn't take any crap from Rogelio's "supportive family".
  6. Absolutely! His comments about his birthday killed me. Poor thing.
  7. I liked how we saw JJ being Dylan's big brother in his own unique way. Excellent episode.
  8. Did we know previously that Baird took a bullet for the General?
  9. NO!!! Not Charlene! Loved the scene with the General and Baird where it was revealed that the General set up Baird to meet Flynn in the tunnel way back at the Pilot. I didn't see Baird severing her connection with the Library. Cracked up at Cassandra and Jones' reaction to Lamb talking trash about Jones.
  10. I am really losing patience with Rebecca. Josh is a big toddler; I can't see how she could be so fixated on him. Even her great growth at the end by choosing to stay with Paula instead of run after Josh didn't move me. I hope I'm not losing interest in the show. Love Paula and Heather. White Josh and Hector were perfectly embarrassed at Josh's modeling. Brittany Snow is great. Loved the song about mothering.
  11. Haven't seen Bones in a few years. On a shallow note, did Emily gain some weight or have another baby? She looks a bit different. Nice to see Angela get professional recognition.
  12. I really like Carmen too. I really liked how they kept her in the storyline via Skype even after she moved to Texas. I also liked how the show brought in the vet at the car dealership for several episodes as well as Judy Reyes' character. I think that Dr. Berkowitz is my favorite secondary character. I love the actor and the character's budding friendship with Lydia is great. This show has really stuck in my head. I hope they get a second - and third - season. The cast has wild chemistry.
  13. I just finished binge watching all of Season 1 -- and I loved it. I've seen Justina Machado in many other roles but she was a revelation here - comedic, tragic, terrific. Rita Moreno was, as usual, wonderful. All of the other casting - especially Dr. Berkowitz and the two kids - was dead on. I also liked many of the guest cast - Judy Reyes as the gay friend that Penelope goes to for help, Kenneth from Speechless as the Uber driver, Bianca from All My Children as the hotel rep. I liked how they wove in so many social issues without being on a soapbox. I rarely watch comedies but this was something special. I hope they get a Season 2.
  14. I love Ray. I hope that Kenneth explains to the Principal why he didn't show up.
  15. I was ready for Joan to become a captive - same ethnicity, etc... So glad that they did not go in that direction. I'm not a fan of this type of storyline so I wasn't thrilled plus - the creamer. I prefer Kitty to Shinwell.
  16. I groaned when I saw that it was a Flynn episode but he was pretty much sidelined effectively for most of it. I didn't find Cyndi obnoxious at all - just sad. The reality tv contestants were horrible to her.
  17. I was spoiled that something was going to happen to Toby so I watched him carefully once he showed up at the house. He was short of breath after the sex and there was visible sweat on his face while sitting on the couch - both of which are signs of an impending major issue. Those facts coupled with the talk of flying cross country wedged into a middle seat which meant that he likely didn't get up and walk around signaled a pulmonary embolism to me. Well done, Show, for giving us the subtle clues.
  18. I watch this show for the interaction between Baird and the 3 Librarians. They work well as a team and Jenkins adds a lot to the mix. However, every episode that Flynn is in throws off the equilibrium completely.
  19. I enjoyed Season 3 as the episodes went on. Did not love the first few where the orchestra was in NYC and Rodrigo and Hailey were in Italy. Loved the sequence where he locked them in the church and forced Betty and Gloria to negotiate. I also like the arc of Hailey learning to become a conductor. Looking forward to seeing where Cynthia/Basketball Player go next season.
  20. I started watching for Olivia Colman, who I love on Broadchurch. I'm really enjoying it so far. The scene where Roper's son is taken was riveting. I wasn't sure whether Jed is his mother or not but she is certainly in love with the boy regardless. Loved the scene where Burr and Martian Manhunter go to MI6 and lie through their teeth.
  21. I'm wondering if Catalina isn't really Jane's cousin but an imposter who did a ton of research and is after the Solano fortune? Agreed that the episode really needed Petra. The whole Anezka-as-Petra storyline really fizzled.
  22. I really enjoyed this one -- until CBS cut off my dvr recording again because I had forgotten to extend it. Thanks for the explanation as to the ending.
