  1. I either never knew (or blocked) that The Bestest Ever Nurie shared a birthday with my son.
  2. DBD is Evangelist now? "We have TRUE friends"=they gave us stuff and told me how pretty I was
  3. Found a pic of William that wasn’t too big to post. Not mine, I didn’t get any closeups of him.
  4. Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland had one too. I think he technically belonged to the neighbor, but spent most of his time there and was allowed free reign of the church. His name was William and he is in some of my pictures from when we were there in 2019. They sold a children's book featuring him and William stuffed animals in the gift shop. I saw he died in 2021, at the age of 17.
  5. I turned on the sound for Jill's special music presentation... I knew better. I have only myself to blame.
  6. While whipping up a gourmet meal from scratch? I am picturing Jill's mad decorating skillz translated to making clothing. I bet she could use the heck out of a Bedazzler...
  7. DBD and Jill repaired SEVERLY broken vehicles without assistance from sweet friends DBD was "under conviction" to support his family, and got a full time job with benefits Heidi saw the writing on the wall and decided losing a piece of her heart was better than decades with Timmay Jill is donating her collection of stuffed animals to a children's hospital Jill got the waifs each a properly fitting outfit and shoes for Easter (A girl can dream...)
  8. It looks like she posted a few pics at 2-ish CST. No decor yet, but her outfit choices are...interesting. Also a spiel about how Satan was attacking her prior to the retreat with her miscarriage, all their cars kaput, computer crashed, no power, and something about deep relationship wounds. No mention if green beans were involved in this attack. Prepare for attempted cash grab in 3...2...1...
  9. I'm shocked (and it's sad that I'm shocked) that Jill managed this post about (and Kaylee) without pointing out a) Nurie was MUCH smaller at this stage and b) that Jill should have a bump to show off too.
  10. Jill posted a Bible verse about being content with what you have (and per usual it was in the wee hours of the morning). The snark gift that keeps on giving...
  11. Just started watching this series, and I realize this is a minor quibble. But I went to college in Cape Girardeau. When Ruth went to pick up the boat, they didn't even make any attempt to try and make it look like Cape. Perhaps the writers figured most people wouldn't know it's a real place?
  12. I knew a few religious couples that insisted on having a joint Facebook page. Their reasoning was having separate pages was a vehicle for infidelity. I kid you not.
  13. Vinny-Terri is a new way of referring to a couple... I suppose this is all part of the healing process.
  14. Is cutting the sleeves off a coat now a thing? I don't understand the vest or the color combo. I'm so unfashionable.
  15. Hmmm...I caught a cold from my youngest granddaughter at Christmas. Seemed your run-of-the-mill, feel crappy for a few days cold. Then on New Year's Day I broke out in neck-to-soles-of-feet hives. Went to Urgent Care, tested negative for Covid, flu, and strep. Hives lasted for four days (miserable!). They told me they have been seeing this reaction at the end of a viral infection lately. I'm 50 and it's never happened to me before. But there are so many strange bug variations now.
  16. Is looking at the shoes supposed to put the fear of God in you?
  17. Glad they were able to go ahead and see you @BetyBee. "Squeeze me in" for a mammogram ends up being cute phrasing. :)
  18. FIFY How else would everyone know what a HERO Jill was? Also like how "Phillip" noted the baby would be in heaven, not because God loves the child, but because JILL loves life and was SO patient with pain (I don't know what that means). I think I sprained my eyes
  19. Yep. This won't get driven a ton because I work from home. Will probably be in the garage unless we have the babies/need to haul something. Since our grands are all siblings (I have an only child) we usually have the whole crew. Any time we wanted to do anything with them we had to take both cars, and then there was debate about who got which car. That problem is solved.
  20. Well, I will say that I'm glad that if they happen to be having hot make out sessions they aren't trying to selfie and post them. This was already a picture too much. I would never take a picture like this (why? just why?), but if in some strange alternate universe I attempted it, I would dump my steak on the floor. That would be a crime.
  21. We finally got our fit-all-the-grands vehicle yesterday (even the surprise-to-all-of-us 4th coming in 3ish months). Mr. Turquoise had done a ton of online research about ones that met what we were looking for, and had a handful for us to test drive. Still was an all day process. I think we found a good one, but it was a little hard to let go of my car. Not only was she a good car, I got her at a pivotal moment in my life. I teared up a bit at the dealer, when I thought the salesman was gone. My luck, he came back and was flabbergasted I was emotional. Oh well. I'm the type that names my vehicles, so I am working on the right name for the new addition.
  22. I live in a state with a Vienna and a Cairo...neither one pronounced the way it should be (Vie-anna and Karo (like the syrup) respectively). I guess mispronunciation is a fairly common phenomenon, not that I'm a fan of it. Topic: I watched part of the Rome video. A few observations: James walking around filming is every tourist that runs over someone else because they're too busy with their selfie stick instead of watching where they're going. Encountered several of those at Edinburgh Castle. Most of the part I saw Jed! and Katey were taking care of the baby themselves. That was refreshing. At a store window: "Oh look-clams! (they were oysters) He complains at one point it's hard finding places to eat. I haven't been to Italy yet, but I would think there would be a overabundance of places to eat in Rome? Perhaps he meant something the whole group would agree on, and phrased it badly?
