  1. I still wish one.of these shows would cover what Durst and Susan's friendship was like in the 20 years between Kathie's death and shortly before Susan's murder when he sent her 50k. All the pictures and stories about their relationship seem to be before and right after Kathie's disappearance and shortly before her murder.
  2. I just started watching the show but I don't care if Ian Fleming made it that way Patricia, it wasn't a perfect martini, the butler candidate used a cocktail onion making it a Gibson, not a martini and serving it on ice is one way to water down that drink. Make sure the glass is ice cold and properly stir (though I guess since she liked Ian's version I will allow her to further make a weaker drink by shaking the ice), I guess I should be happy she at least knows it should be made with gin.
  3. It is shocking that this show would get something wrong! But I think in this case it was just a fake brand because it was actually called Eagle something and wasn't Eagle Rare though the bottle and label were similar to Jack.I find everything about Jasper repulsive and the storyline is making me stop watching the show. Even on a soapy show date rape (real or just making her think it happened) and blackmail for sex and other favors that lead to a relationship makes me stabby.
  4. No, I didn't use the figure to impress, I merely stated it as a fact , having lived in SF almost 20 years I am well aware how much property costs and so I also know that the place in question actually went for above market price for a one bedroom of its size and the condition it was in, my point was simply that for many people a view of an apartment building or location to an apartment buildings are not a downside just a fact of city living. There is no way in hell I could live in that first hotel room space. I mean the only sink was a fairly small bathroom sink, I wouldn't even want to wash more than a glass in so it would be all takeout in containers or room service. I don't think I could even handle it as a weekend getaway spot.
  5. Or a ton of cities. I live in SF and my friend just bought a lovely place in an an ugly ass building for a ridiculous sum but as he joked "I get to stare at those two gorgeous Victorians they have to look at this dump," given that one of the flats in that Victorian across the street went for $1.5 million having to look at ugly isn't going to stop resale in cities. As for the Chicago house hunter I think the furniture is just to big for the space especially in the living/dining area where you since she finished the basement you could do a lot with that space without that huge sectional and clunky table and chairs. Also, in two of the bedrooms you could easily have at least a queen away from the wall and not covering a window they just had it there to take a more appealing photo that could get the bed and night stand from a good angle with the best light. The kitchen was fairly neutral but she also got a lot of cabinets and usefully counterspace in not a huge area.
  6. There have been several episodes outside of Tokyo and tons in England not near any tourist attractions. I don't actually remember a South Korea episode but there have also been a few in the countryside in Scotland.
  7. I don't know if I have hated a kitchen renovation on any HGTV show more than the CT couple tonight.
  8. Okay, my partner doesn't have a dead wife but I imagine that if he did than I would be completely fine with an urn with her ashes in the living room. I would never be okay with her ashes being in a plastic bag in a crappy box in a bookcase in my bedroom!
  9. To me the reason the dad came off as a dick wasn't just because he said she was "an ok mom" he also said the reason was that she had a full-time job and had them in daycare because a mother should be at home with her kids, fuck you dad.
  10. There is a huge difference between Polanski and Durst which is that he is a French citizen and that is why they won't extradite him. Also, it's fairly unlikely that Durst will face the death penalty in Berman's death. However, there are other places that he could flee that don't have extradition treaties with the US.
  11. That isn't what I got from the clip, just that their schedule was more difficult than maybe perceived but also I am not basing my opinion on a 20 second clip but numerous other things he has said about his education over the years.
  12. There actually was an episode that dealt with wheelchair issues, it was in Switzerland and the child of the couple was in a wheelchair. They decided not to go for a fabulous older home because they didn't want to mess with the historical aspects of the home by some of the changes they would need to make in order for it to work for their child so they went with a modern penthouse on one floor with elevator (their budget was huge).
  13. The only tv he had done was guest spots on Non-Fiction one-offs not the same experience as adapting your memoir and how creators of a show don't have nearly as much control at a network than other tv shows that he had been on. Again, a ton of people with more experience in the entertainment industry and have been vocally disappointed by the outcomes.
  14. He was an adult no one could get a judgement against the family or their holdings at the time Kathie disappeared. He was drawing a salary and his family might have bailed him out but they would not be liable for a civil suit. None of the shit was owed to him at the time she left. They only bought hm out of the family once Seymour died.
  15. I don't even know that she was in love with him even if she helped him by calling the school to say Kathie wasn't coming in isn't a fact that can be proven, given lack of audio tapes it could have just been Bob disguising his voice. She could have just needed a story to tell since the "mob princess" fairytale stopped long ago. I know there is evidence that he sent her 50-70 grand shortly before her death but I am curious what if any relationship they had from Kathie's disappearance to her murder. The stepson who took at least 100 grand from him didn't imply there was a long standing relationship between the two of them and his sister didn't seem to imply any relationship. She might have spoken about him to her friends but that is what is curious is they no one (not even Jarecki) has ever established an ongoing close friendship after Kathie's disappearance. It's also why I doubt Seymour or Doug no shit about Kathie's disappearance or helped him in covering it up. Did Seymour stop paying the PI when he showed his son was a lying lie who lies? Yes, but he seemed so distanced from the family at the time of her death I don't think they actively covered shit up. This is not to say that I don't think Doug and Seymour didn't believe he killed Kathie, I just think he was so estranged that other than hiring the PI they don't know anything.
  16. Which was awesome for two different reasons: my boyfriend who is slightly older (born in 73) didn't remember the Cabbage Patch craze and he said it wasn't that he was older it was just that he was a boy so even if he so that phenomenon would have skipped him but I remember boys in my grade wanting one because of the craze but secondly even having the means didn't mean you might not have to buy something off brand because how crazy those things took off for a brief period of time. My grandmother was a crazy doll lady (okay she was just crazy) but she would always buy one or each of her kids later her grandkids and that we could abuse in whatever fashion but also one to keep in the box that we would never be allowed to touch, she know how has a locker which she purges but still contains several first Barbie's in their boxes as well as numerous other dolls that are worth a shit ton more than she paid.
  17. I wonder if Ava will die defending Zachariah. He is clearly a dead man walking and though crazy he clearly loves her and wants to protect her and Ava has really never had anyone in this world that we have met that tried to protect her from such a pure place of love. Even when Raylan wanted her to get out or not get tangled up with Boyd it was done simply from a place of lust and perhaps affection/friendship. Boyd loves her but he also will sacrifice her if it means saving himself.
  18. Though it should also be mentioned that any of the four Farts and Procreation on Comedy Bang Bang with her Adam Scott, and Harris Wittels are also a delight (though the fourth which was filmed before but posted after Harris' death can be heard to get through not only because of Auckerman near tears in the intro but the subject matter of death). and she has been on numerous You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes, including a few episodes where she dissects everything he did wrong that are a treat.
  19. I actually didn't seem it was ungrateful at all just actually how so many people find out when they sell their story to Hollywood things get changed by the process. It's completely naive but when people keep blowing smoke up your ass about what a great original story you have and they are going to be true to that vision a gazillion people have bought into it and so of course he gave push back because it wasn't what they said would happen (he should have asked his friend Bourdain how they santizied his Kitchen Confidential before he signed anything). I do think it's also important to remember he ended the piece by coming around to understanding that what they put on the screen (when he was just being an audience member and not seeing it through it being his life or something he wrote) was still more than had been put there before but not that he won't continue pushing for more.
  20. But that is the entire point of Google Feud, it's much more specific than Family Feud, it's not about the number of times people have finished those sentence with the exact same wording, not just the concept.
  21. Didn't say they were the same, I just said that her humor with her friends comes from the same place that Gina's remarks comes from and it's a similar relationship she has with both Dan Goor and Mike Schur that they have always talked about loving when she was working for them on Parks and Rec. She also exhibits that sort of behavior on her podcast where she routinely mocks callers (in I think a funny way) or hangs up on them.
  22. Your first sentence answered your question.
  23. Allison looks so much better without her Amy Winehouse eye makeup.
  24. There are two things about the conversation Brandi had with Kim is that she completely ignored that she was also sharing her concerns about Kim to LisaR but mainly is what she reported to Kim wasn't the conversation we saw with LisaR (she did express concerns and wonder what could be done) but what Brandi actually stated was word for word the conversation she had with Jen on the beach about Kim. Seriously, it was basically direct quotes from Jen that Brandi decided to say came from LisaR.
