  1. This is actually the sort of thing that would fascinated me normally, but I watched the first show of this series, and it was excruciatingly slow. I didn't even make it to the operation, it was so dull and full of unnecessary details.
  2. If watching these two doesn't make you want to avoid drugs for the rest of your life, nothing will.
  3. This episode makes no damned sense. WTF.
  4. A&E is starting a series on April 22 at 9 pm called "Quarter Ton Teen". It is produced by Younan Nowzaradan. Maybe they are closing out this show and focusing on this new one instead.
  5. He's going fishing, but he can't get his ass to the clinic to be weighed?
  6. Dr. Paradise is probably taller than him, too
  7. I think they both have their issues. Instead of working well together and being supportive, they are coming apart at the seams. It is unpleasant to watch. I hope they either turn it around or make a quick exit
  8. On his Instagram, David Murphy said "I wasn't allowed to participate, beyond that I can't say anything else...NDAs" He is doublefastdave
  9. Husband says that she "has been working on this for a long time". No, she has only been working on this for three months. The other seven months she did nothing.
  10. Well, I am glad I was wrong, but what a weird episode. All of a sudden she is walking on her own and looks way smaller in the hips. Good for her!
  11. This episode has really gone off the rails. I don't see any hope here.
  12. I was not a huge fan of this season, and judging from the few posts so far, I think people felt pretty "meh" about it, too. It's a shame, because I like everyone very much, with one exception - Dani. I would have liked less about Dani, and more the others. Journey was lovely, but I agree that she should have had more age-appropriate dates. The background music seemed louder and more intrusive this time around. It reminded me of children's shows, where background music or sound effects get louder to help express the emotions the show wants to convey. Considering that this show has been criticized for being condescending, I don't think the louder background music is a good choice.
  13. I liked Steve and Anna Leigh least of the four teams, so pleased with the result, but I must say I was impressed with Steve's effort this time. OK, he struggled a bit with the swimming (wearing shoes was not a good idea), but he did a good job with the dance. Dancing is clearly not his forte, but he worked hard to get it right and pushed through. He did way better at that task than I ever would. He "knocked it out of the park" - figuratively - in the hurling challenge, getting it right on the second try. And finally, when reciting the Joyce quote, he got it right on the first try and seemed to do it easily. I'm happy that their time on the show ended on a good note rather than them being hours behind because of a navigational error.
  14. My favorite seasons were the ones with Noel and Sandi Toksvig. I have always preferred Prue to Mary Berry, too. I think the formula works best with two men and two women as hosts and judges. While Sandi holds a special place in my heart, I thought Alison did a great job this season, and I am already looking forward to next season.
