  1. Is it just me, but anyone else find the episode lackluster because we did not have the emotional connection between Red and Boone? I mean, I get what all you are are saying about the character/possibly actress (Wigstand) and I do agree. But the strong connection Red had to Boone (for whatever reason, Spader alone sells it), is what really anchored me to the series. I just didn't get that last night. I'll re-watch today, especially the beginning to see if I missed something. But I think Spader's emotional intensity is what really kept me in the show and allowed me to forgive the HUGE lapses of plot and everything else wacky that the writers threw at us.. Or maybe it gave the character a depth that made him more interesting to me. Without that, Red is just a very smart, albeit entertaining, criminal. Last night's episode did not feel like it was enough.
  2. True, I was not exactly blown away by Jake, but Brittany seemed kind of, I don't know, lost in the song. I did not get a sense of her as a performer. Maybe she let the fact that she did not want to do the song in the first place effect her performance, or maybe the song is just not good for her voice. I was on the fence with the Madelyn and Bria battle, but I am also glad Blake stole her.
  3. Ooh, Brittnee got hosed! Jake knew that Usher's song would play to his falsetto. Brittnee was definitely resisting. She should have stuck to her guns and told pretty boy to stick it and work his falsetto in a song where she could also shine.
  4. I'm confused too, Snarkette. I thought the show would go to the lives after the battle rounds, but now there are playoffs? I wish the website clearly spelled out what the rules are each year. Heaven forbid! (or are they posted somewhere and I am just missing them?). The battles that really stood out to me from Tuesday were Sisaundra/Biff and Stevie Jo/Morgan. Sisanudra had that one in the bag, but I was so sorry to see Biff go, he seems like such a lovely person.
  5. Greetings. Long time lurker at TWoP, decided to take the plunge and attempt to actually contribute to the conversation. Started streaming Supernatural at the beginning of this year and read the recaps and forums either simultaneously or right after viewing. Your comments really completed the experience of being oddly obsessed with this show. Time to bring something to the table
