I have to say that the wedding venue is stunning! Christine and David couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting for their ceremony. If I ever get out to Utah, I’d love to stay at that lodge.

It was gorgeous and poetic justice given Meri's "look at the mountains Christine" the season before Christine finally left Kody.

    Just perfect!

  2. Congrats to Tony and Mykelti's on their weight loss. On a petty note, someone on another platform said Tony looked like an unmade bed at the wedding and that is the most accurate description ever.

Sparkly pony princess is the perfect nickname for Christine, albeit a mouthful.  I still like her and don't mind watching her but will admit it would have to be in limited time increments because yes she can be a lot.  Everything I suspected about her was confirmed in the tell all when David mentioned taking her to a play and her crying. I was thinking to myself, how nice and interesting as I never thought Christine seemed to be the theatre type then it was revealed that it was the Disney play Little Mermaid.   Not that there is anything wrong with that per se but it just seems so 'on brand' for Christine.

Anyway, there was no need to see or hear from Robyn and Kody.  It was interesting to see him start to launch into some BS diatribe vs Christine before Robyn shut him up. To throw his words to Christine back in his face, if he is indeed so in love with Robyn, then he should stop trash talking Christine.

Meri kept it cute and classy, but we didn't need to see her either.

I thought it was a bit shady for TLC to put in subtitles for David in part of the episode. Does anyone have trouble understanding him? I don't.

I didn't like the way the makeup artist did Christine's brows. They were Robynesque.

I think TLC may be testing the waters for more of these look back/pillow talk type shows. They've milked 90 Day Fiance eight ways to Tuesday and back, and even aired multiple Family Chantel seasons. Imo they are looking for a way to milk this show further. They must know that Gwendlyn and Mykelti have done well with their patreon rewatch/commentary. I think there's still enough interest out there for a least a couple more seasons. They were still filming as recently as Avalon's birthday. Ah well, time will tell.

Believe it or not, the last time I checked, SWs was beating 90 day ratings wise so this would make sense. In fact, it saw the highest ratings it had since it premiered so expect to see more of these. I definitely think this is in part to the shit show imploding. This is the payoff that many, including me, have been waiting for.

I officially stopped watching the 90 day franchise because of the oversaturation and overload, but yes I can see TLC trying to milk more out of this franchise, but I hope not to the extent that I become sick of it.

Totally agree @altopower!  His first answer to any question re a problem is "It wasn't me that...." to whatever happened "The mothers or the kids did it first..." or whatever. NEVER once, NEVER, he is the cause/blame for anything.... Disgusting mound of flesh that thinks he is King of it All!!!  🤮

Robyn is the same way. She said on the last episode that she is at peace with herself, doesn't feel she did anything wrong and could meet her maker with a clear conscience. So this should make for an "interesting" monogamous relationship going forward.

Kody must also dye his hair. I just noticed that he is blonder now than he was when the show first started.

  5. I'm kinda mad at Meri because she has me agreeing with Kody. She had an emotional online affair at worst, at best she was highly flirty and was entertaining "possibilities" with a man, but she won't even admit to that. Her stance is that she was just making friends. LOL! This is why if she is indeed writing a book, I doubt I would read it and if I did I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

I just realized why I could never do a full re-watch. There is no way in hell I could relive the catfish saga. Nope!

I think Kody must have a magic mirror in his closet of deep thoughts.
When he looks in it he sees a man with six-pack abs and a full head of hair and every man in the world wants to be him.

Kody's idea that David might someday take Kody aside and be all, "yeah, man, you were right, Christine is awful.  Let's chug some beers and talk about it" was deeply weird to me.  My first thought was, does Kody have a crush on David?  It struck me as so strange that he even gave voice to this little fantasy on national tv.  I just get a weird vibe that Kody's perfect take-down of Christine would be to take away her man for himself. That might be a huge reach but it wouldn't be the first time I have gotten that vibe from Kody.  There was something nefarious in that statement from him, I just can't quite parse out what it was.  Maybe it was something he read on the manosphere.  But of all of Kody's troubling statements, that was the big one that stood out to me.

Kody has always, always been very odd and cringy around other men. ALWAYS. This was definitely another dimension of the same disease. I think he has daddy issues. I've read that his daddy Winn was very hard on him. He seeks the approval, admiration of other men, especially those that might be seen as manly and dare I say "Alpha." It is almost like watching an over exuberant golden retriever trying to get strangers to notice him, pet him and call him a good boy.

What alternative story would he have wanted, I wonder?  One in which his kids all come running back to him, decrying Christine for lying about their wonderful blameless father?  Given how Kody has disparaged many of his kids on national  television, called them names and made them feel like garbage, that was never going to happen.

Or maybe in another version, they wander around the planet as orphans, because Christine is a terrible human but Kody wants nothing to do with them, either.  Would that make him happy?

He wanted a good old fashion, olde time religion shunning. Plain and simple.

  9. (Taken from my post in reunion part 4 because is Robyn related)

We've had evidence that Robyn is a hoarder and in particular collects Precious Moments figurines. I must say that it dawned on me recently that this is what the family is to her - not a lived daily experience that is the fabric of her daily life, but rather a precious moments figurine to be put on her shelf and only dusted off and interacted with when it suits or conveniences her, like holidays and birthdays. Nothing more, which is why she is hung up on the mythical porch with her sister wives. That is just a precious moments scene she wanted to act out with the OG3 before putting them back in storage or in the shelf collecting dust while she goes back to living monogamy with her husband and 5 kids.

But Gabe and Gwendolyn both said in a previous episode this season that they like and miss Aurora. And I believe Garrison said he misses Dayton. Nobody seemed to miss Breanna.

I remember the 5th wheel episode when Robyn, Aurora and Breanna went to CP and saw the conditions Janelle and Savannah were living in. One of the daughters asked Savannah if the dog bed was her bed. Nobody could tell which daughter said it because of the camera angles. Now I am leaning towards Breanna. LOL!

"Dramatic? Dramatic!!?  I'm not draMAHtic! **sob**"  Wipes eyes while dry-crying.

No, she's not dramatic at all.

I see Robyn as someone who stars in her own play and everyone else are just secondary characters in her drama.  She wants to be in a polygamous family and everyone else is assigned a role, secondary to her.  She is the only real wife and the other wives exist only to give her the satisfaction of living that polygamous life. She doesn't have to compete for time and resources, they do. She gets all the husband's attention, they don't. And they don't get to leave no matter how unhappy they are. They must remain and be props who sit on those imaginary rocking chairs on the porch with her in perpetuity. She wants to be a mommy so her children aren't allowed to grow up and leave. They must stay and remain under her control, be children forever.

This sounds eerily like the other mother from Coraline.

Another thing that Kody admitted to on this episode was that Robyn is being skewered by the viewers, on social media and forums like this.  Before this, he would blame the other wives for "bullying Robyn."  Now we know he is aware of how disliked Robyn is among the general public.  (Of course, Kody has even less admirers among the viewers.)  He is so enamored of Robyn that he is now willing to let himself be outed as an angry husband who even picks fights with his favorite wife to punish himself, just so viewers will feel sorry for Robyn.  I believe he is a very angry man, but I think they are exaggerating their relationship troubles to draw sympathy to Robyn.  However, we know that Robyn played a major part in Kody showing preference to her and driving all the other wives away, so I can't feel bad for the reaping the consequences of her actions.

So it is the audience's fault that we have eyes, good sense and have seen what they both were from the word "GO"

Is it bad of me to enjoy knowing that they know how much they are disliked? It is kinda apparent though since they haven't posted on SM in eons.

I had no blessed clue that the catfish told the story about Meri's ring until this past weekend. I had no clue about the ring itself until this past weekend. I suspect most fans who aren't and haven't been involved in online fandom did not know about it.

It is funny because I have been involved in the online fandom and I vividly recall when the catfish broke in real time, was on this board when it happened and even I don't remember seeing the ring detail at that time. There was so, so much information floating about that it was hard to keep track and given the evil nature of the catfish person, hard to know what was true or not. Also, I will admit that I did draw a line in the sand for myself. I never listened to the voicemails and I didn't see/read many of the pics or texts. That was just too much of an invasion for me.  I read about the banana and tub pictures but I made a point not to look at them. I was embarrassed for Meri and it was really all so cringy. I've always wished that the catfish had been real and that Meri got away but alas .....

I don't think Meri was livid that Christine spilled the beans on the melted ring story because it was her private story to tell, but because it was her private story to sell - one of the bombshells she plans to drop in her rumored tell-all book. According to this, we're not the only ones to pick up on the "there's so much more to the story" photo she posted last year.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/celebrity/sister-wives-meri-brown-started-her-tell-all-book-long-ago/ar-AA1kRPA0

I know this is being speculated all over the place, but Meri loves to play coy and frankly, she is gonna have to show and prove. I'm gonna need a book on the shelf to even begin to believe it.

To this day, as far as I know she has still stands firm that the catfish was just a friend and there was no romance or plans to run off with another dude. If she does come out with a book and doesn't admit to this, I won't believe a single word in that book.

Again, the Forehead does not move without the Neck.  Gizelle's (and this time Robyn) involvement entails amplifing the osu rumor to the blogs; Ashley's role is to get it out on camera and get Nneka & Wendy activated against each other.

Gizelle, Robyn & Ashley are like Cerberus, the 3 headed hound from Hell.  Bravo needs to break this up just like they did the unholy alliance of the Fox Force Five on BH when they got rid of Rinna. The Osu thing is just so distasteful and ugly and the cherry on top is having this be egged on and forced as a story by 3 ijits who know nothing of the Nigerian culture but is not letting that stop them.

Nneka is a willing pawn and if she does manage to supplant Wendy, she will be the next one whose husband/marriage they go after.

I have had a deep and abiding dislike of Ashley since S1 and every season just proves me right about her, especially the last 2-3.  Of all the franchises, she is the one I dislike the most and she just manages to get away with her BS for way, way too long.

I definitely saw signs of physical attraction/chemistry/flirting between Janelle and Kody on the show even as late as the Vegas move.

This is interesting. I do remember earlier this season, Kody said to Janelle months after the fight when they met for the 1st time after xmas in that restaurant, that they had a renaissance in LV.   I took to mean their sexual intimacy was rekindled and they were getting it on regular.  He, in fact, the adults in that family have really interesting ways of saying they got it in. I tend to think her and Robyn were the only wives getting the regular nookie w/Christine getting it more sporadically and Meri none at all.

I tend to think some of his attraction to the wives might have came down to their sexual experience. Both Robyn and Janelle were married before and not to be crass, but knew their way around the D and to Kody those two were probably more 'down to clown' less shy and just knew what they wanted and how to please a man (wink, wink) and in Janelle's case, quite pragmatic. On the other hand, both Meri and Christine were virgins. Christine has said that Kody was the only man that she ever kissed. I think part of his turn off re: Christine was that she was super young, a bit juvenile and her love language might have been more on the Disney princess spectrum or at the very least wanted to be pitched woo and romanced. Now I just thought of him calling a woman who raised all those kids, cooked for an army of kids, home schooled them and worked at night while pregnant princess, might have had another dimension to it.

  15. Y'all, did you know that Kody almost died from the Covid?!?!  99.8 Fever almost took out Kang Kody!

If you have to say you are good man, you aren't.

It was progress for Kody to admit that Robyn is the first time he felt true love. Okay, I can get that, however, he still is unwilling to see how his feelings for Robyn caused him to abandon the OG3 and their respective children. At his base, Kody is just a triangulator and yes, Robyn did use that to her advantage. Even before Robyn he was sowing the seeds of jealousy and discontent like with the year when he got Christine a ton of xmas gifts and Meri none.

If Kody is so in love with Robyn, why is he still leaving the door open to Janelle. The way he was eyeing her new apartment, I think he just likes to have some place to run to besides a closet.

I am resigned to the fact that TLC just wants lackluster tell nothings. They pretty much suck for every franchise on that channel.  No matter the journalist, noted or otherwise, it is just gonna suck because they want it too. However, I was still was livid at Robyn not being called to the carpet saying she would have gone if invited. We saw her actively discourage Meri inviting them to her house for xmas eve - sounds scary; is it safe? She completely derailed the gift exchange. Sure she may speak Kody but she doesn't know a single word in "Sister wife" dialect.

This reunion did one thing and that was make me wonder if Janelle was a reliable narrator or is she just trying to be diplomatic. She has left more than once so I do wonder if that was in fact the worst argument they ever had. Plus, the way she told the "Covid almost killing Kody" story (LOL!) she made it seem different then the way Christine told it. Maybe she is just downplaying things and not throwing Christine under the bus (and I love that Christine can't find a f%ck to give) but I did notice it.

Christine has been a bit overreaching with Janelle over her marriage with Kody, but I was thrilled when Christine told her in no uncertain terms not to cut short her vacay and run back to Kody.  First, he never did that shit for her when she and her boys were ill and second, wasn't one of the tenders (Aurora) fine. Why couldn't she run the errands or better yet why can't Kody and his preferred wife get shit delivered like everyone else in the USA. Lastly, the only thing she could do was leave shit on the porch and go home.

I was at first a bit titillated by Meri's "I will be heard statement," however, she is gonna have to show and prove.

I too was shocked at the sight of Meri's ears. As a Succession fan, I immediately thought of Tom saying to his wife: "Your earlobes and thick are chewy, like barnacle meat!" LOL!

  16. Be open and honest Kyle!

Sutton has been over dramatic and unpredictable but I wouldn't say she was unhinged. The only unhinged people on this show have been Erika, Brandi and Rinna.

I really wish none of the women would bring up missing Kyle drinking. That is just a terrible thing to say and possibly insensitive as that is a personal issue and she has addiction in her family. The concern about her working out I am 50/50 on. On the one hand, she isn't hurting anyone and getting healthy. On the other hand, she is someone who has a past eating disorder and excessive working out may be a new manifestation of the illness.
