  1. Confession: I was rooting for Hannah. Now that she's out, Tommie Rae might be my favored contestant; any of them I'd be happy winning with except for the "Thank you God" kid; and even then I feel a bit guilty of dissing on him since he isn't economically advantaged. Still, the sense of praying to God for a win in a tv game show bothers me.
  2. Hmmm... I'm of two minds with this episode. On the one hand, none of the contestants did all that impressively. I have a soft spot for Loreal, so I'm still holding out some hope that she'll hit it out of the park in some episode (just being in the top two in a week when everyone had some flaws doesn't count; ditto for Lenny). On the other hand, the trainwreck-esque moments were actually entertaining at points in this episode (namely, Sarah being so adamant that she cooked her burgers correctly, and Giada and Bobby's argument about contestant elimination). Grading on the FNS curve, I'd say that this episode didn't suck completely.
  3. The one thing I feel safe saying about this episode: props to the YouTube execs for their thankless task of sitting through the videos and yet being polite audience members. I wouldn't have been able to do it! That said, I thought the challenge itself was a weak one that was only tangentially related to being a FN host. Oddly enough, I had expected Christopher to be a possible winning contestant; while that is technically possible now, the committee was so negative about him that he has almost no chance. (Which makes it so odd that they eliminated Aryen instead.) EDIT: Ok, are the "viral" videos even available on YouTube? If the contestants are actually going to go through that, along with the YouTube cross-promotion, wouldn't it make sense to actually have them available? I'll check back later this week, since it may just be due to a delay after the episode airing, but who knows what will happen.
