  1. I really don't get all the Lagertha/Ecbert shipping on this site. The guy comes across as a used car salesman. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him and I'm pretty sure I couldn't even pick him up. I cringe every time he flirts with her because I just know it's all part of some evil plan to trick the vikings out of everything. It seems pretty obvious to me and I keep wondering why she doesn't see it but then again....she does have pretty crappy taste in men.
  2. The only thing I really liked about this episode was the fact that someone FINALLY had a sex talk with Jesus that went beyond "are you using condoms."
  3. Oh yes, me too! I have seen her in movies and on The West Wing but I never really thought much about her. I thought she was OK but nothing special. But this show has drastically changed my impression of her. She nails the facial expressions and little gestures that make her character so believable. I love all the little winks and smirks and eye rolls she gives Lena. Just the stuff two people would do in a real relationship. If there is anyone out there who doubts her acting ability I simply point them to the first season episode "I Do" and the scene in the kitchen with her father. If you don't fall in love with her after watching that then you have no soul. Please let me know if this works. I'm am waaaaay too jaded to feel optimistic about this.
  4. I think all three actors did a wonderful job. That whole reveal and the fallout that came after was handled a lot better than I was expecting. Lena handled everything perfectly and demonstrated once again why Brandon was smart to go to her first. (OK, I suppose it was more the pot brownies talking than any rational bit of thought but there is a reason he called her when he needed help and not Stef). I love that Stef and Mike were able to talk things out at the end. I am also so, so happy that they actually had Mike bring up his drinking in relation to Brandon. I was really hoping that they wouldn't let that drop. Mike is right, children of alcoholics need to be especially careful when it comes to drinking and I like that the show touched on that. Also, Stef using Mariana as an example to get the point across was brilliant. Every time I am tempted to give up on this show because of the silly teen drama they have an amazing scene like this and remind me all over again why I started watching in the first place. Hayley and Sophia are both Cray-Cray. The only question I have now is which one will fly their crazy flag first. So help me if we suffer through all of this angst and Callie doesn't end up adopted by the Fosters I will cut somebody!
  5. I agree with all of this. I loved that we actually got to see the ENTIRE family together even if it was just for a couple of short scenes. When they were in the waiting room at the hospital I almost fell off the sofa I was so surprised to see Stef enteracting with Jesus and Mariana. They hardly ever have scenes together anymore. The unicorn scene was heavy handed and I saw the name thing coming a mile away but I'm going to forgive them because there was so much other goodness in this episode. Kudos to Sherri Saum who did a great job tonight and special recognition to Teri Polo who got the first tears of the evening from me with that pleading, heartbroken look she gave Lena in the hospital. When you can make my heart hurt without even speaking, you know you are doing something right. And of course, let's not forget Ms. Toussaint. That scene between Lena and her Mother was so amazing it almost made the whole baby storyline worth it. (almost.....) And finally.....Horray! That stupid bed is gone!!!! :-)
  6. Yeah, that was me and I have to admit I'm a little surprised that Stef would be so quick to think Mike would do that. I actually think it's kind of funny that Stef is all worried that Mike would kill to protect his family when all along we are expecting her to Kill Dani when she finds out what she did to Brandon. I actually laughed out loud when Brandon said to Lena "Mom will kill her..." Poor Lena, she has suddenly become the keeper of secrets in this family and she already has enough to worry about right now. Speaking of Lena, she was spot on in all of her scenes this episode. I loved every moment she was in. Her and Stef, her and Jude, her and Brandon. She was soooo good and understanding and but most of all....she was real. It reminded me so much of season one and her talk with Jude about the nail polish. I miss that. Ok kids, doing drugs is bad, bad, bad but can we get some more potbrownie Brandon please? This is the first time I've been able to stand him this season. When he was talking about the trains and suddenly got so worried about Crime and Punishment....LOL! I loved the look on Lena's face. I so want to have Lena as an emergency contact on my phone! Jesus has no other purpose on the show than to sleep with Mariana's friends. Got it. Move on. Yes, Haley is cray-cray.
  7. On the plus side.....I'm really hoping that drunk girl throwing up in the Mom's room will finally make them get rid of that stupid bed. :-)
  8. Shhhhhhh!!!! Don't give them any ideas! I get this is a show with teenagers so it's probably some sort of law or something that they have to include a party episode but.....ugh. I realize teenagers are not known for making wise decisions or thinking rationally but did they really think they could throw a party....Outside.....with a ROCK BAND and nobody would find out?!? I'm sure all of their neighbors would be more than happy to give Stef and Lena the details. Oh well, at least it's done and overwith. Box checked. Move on.
  9. This! A thousand times this! I can't even imagine the amount of fecal matter that will hit the fan when that comes out!
  10. Yes! I definately thought of the Clone Troopers too. The ones from the surprisingly good cartoon though, not the horrible movie. :-) This! They will not put up with her crazyness to be sure but they definately need her for something so they won't kill her. She will suffer at first but In the end, my money is on the crazy angel. from Wikipedia: "The two types of bone marrow are medulla ossium rubra (red marrow), which consists mainly of hematopoietic tissue, and medulla ossium flava (yellow marrow), which is mainly made up of fat cells. Red blood cells, platelets, and most white blood cells arise in red marrow. Both types of bone marrow contain numerous blood vessels and capillaries. At birth, all bone marrow is red. With age, more and more of it is converted to the yellow type; only around half of adult bone marrow is red. Red marrow is found mainly in the flat bones, such as the pelvis, sternum, cranium, ribs, vertebrae and scapulae, and in the cancellous ("spongy") material at the epiphyseal ends of long bones such as the femur and humerus. Yellow marrow is found in the medullary cavity, the hollow interior of the middle portion of long bones." Since Kira is still a child and they took the sample from her hip (the pelvis region) that the sample would be red marrow. And that is way more than I ever wanted to know about bone marrow.
  11. Uh, I'm not sure what interview you read but everything i've seen so far never says anything like that. They do say he was originally supposed to die but they realized he was a good actor and decided to keep him around. I'm pretty sure they never said he was the only male capable of doing what Tat does. Also, I think people are worrying over nothing. I not even sure Mark will have to do the multiple characters like Tat does. I suspect that the military has raised them to be soldiers and they will all be very much like....well....clones of each other. This is all speculation of course, but I don't think the male clones will require anywhere near the level of differentiation that the female clones require.
  12. I got really nervous when Cosima wouldn't wake up. Part of me thought they were just yanking our chain but another part of me just.....ugh, this show! Like so many characters keep saying I am completely invested. I will sob uncontrolably if Cos dies. Sarah - Yes! Finally she is doing something other than running. That whole scene with her in the hospital was just a nightmare. I enjoyed seeing Rachel take a pencil to the eye more than any selfrespecting human being should. Cosima - I'm so glad she got to do more than just be sick in this episode. I love, love, loved the scene between her and Kira when they were doing the experiment with the pencil. "You won science!" OMG so cute. And the scene between her and Sarah in bed was so sad. I'm not saying I cried....but this room is really dusty and...allergies . And finally, when Kira asked Cos to read her a story I got so excited because I just KNEW she would give her the special book. Her future is uncertain but right now there is hope and that's all I can ask for. Helena - Loved seeing her meet all her sisters. Hated seeing her taken by the military. But, I have faith in that crazy angel. I think the military may have just met it's match. and finally: I completely agree with this.
  13. It was never stated in the show what kind of drunk he was but I am 100% certain he wasn't violent before because Stef would NEVER, EVER put up with that. If he tired to get violent with her she would have kicked his a** and then dragged him to divorce court quicker than he could blink. Also, we know that Stef let Brandon spend time with him after the divorce and that would not be the case if Mike had shown any violent tendencies at all. I agree with the others on here who think that Mike argued with Ana but did not fight with her. I actually don't mind the Mariana hair storyline. I think it is very realistic and touches on two issues that affect teenage girls: Wanting to fit in and racial identity. Plus, it finally gives her a story other than "OMG cute boy!" Can we send Brandon to Military camp too? Please? I like the idea of Callie having a half-sister except I am now concerned that we will be seeing lots of jealous Jude. I don't want to see another rift in their relationship because at this point Callie and Jude and Stef and Lena are the only reasons I am watching the show. Stef was pure awesome. That is all.
