  1. I would hope that the writers wouldn't try to troll some fans, on the show's potential last season. I can't see them being like, "well the show is already not doing that well in ratings, now lets aim to make some people mad" lol.
  2. I thought both of these episodes were really good. I wish the 1st one had aired by itself though, because it was a little difficult going from that episode making me emotional over the Rosa plot to switching my attention to the Seamus plot in the following episode. The show continues to handle the Rosa storyline really well. My heart broke for Rosa when her parents pulled away from her after she revealed she was bi. The Nine-Nine being there for Game Night at the end was really sweet. Jake was also an amazing friend this episode and I loved the Rosa/Holt moment. The Rosa/Amy storyline was the highlight of the 2nd episode for me. One of my few complaints about the 1st half of the 5th Season is that I wished for more Rosa/Amy interaction and this episode gave them some fun scenes. I love Kevin a lot, so it upsets me that Seamus is threatening him but I'm also excited if this means we will get to see more of Kevin during the 2nd half of Season 5. I"m sad that the show probably won't return until at least March.
  3. Yeah, I thought about this after the episode aired too. I also feel this way about the party Terry threw for Charles at the end of The Venue episode. It was a really sweet way to combine the Charles and Terry storylines, and I couldn't help but think if Gina had been involved in that storyline she would have at least gotten one negative comment in at Charles' expense.
  4. For anyone that isn't aware, because Fox is horrible at promoting this show, B99's mid-season finale will be next week and it will be one hour (two episodes). The 1st episode will air right after Lethal Weapon, where the Mick usually airs, and the 2nd episode will air right after that at B99's usual time.
  5. I loved this episode a lot. Rosa/Boyle's friendship is so important. If you asked me my Top 5 relationships on the show I probably wouldn't even list Rosa/Boyle, which speaks to how amazing so many of the relationships on the show are. However, everytime I think about the evolution of Boyle/Rosa's relationship I feel that their friendship is one of the best things the show has done. No one would have been able to predict that a relationship that started with him having an unrequited crush on her would evolve into her being glad that he was the first person in her life that she came out as bi to. I'm so happy that Rosa being bi became canon. Stephanie Beatriz, who is bi herself, has wanted this for awhile and it is such great representation to have a bi actress play an amazing bi character. The Holt/Jake and squad standing by Holt moments got me emotional too. I also loved Amy's big take charge moment. I adore this cast so much and I'm glad that they all got to shine this episode.
  6. In addition to Jake being her closest friend, I also think that if Rosa is coming out as bi they are doing the Rosa/Jake pairing vs. the Rosa/Holt pairing for the episode because they want the Rosa storyline to be the A-plot (and with the exception of Moo Moo the A-plot always involves Jake, though I wish we could get more non-Jake related A-plots in the future). Oh, I hadn't really thought about what the cliffhanger could be. Whatever it is, I hope they don't treat it like the Gina got ran over by a bus cliffhanger. That turned out to be purely for shock-value and added nothing to the story.
  7. Many people have been speculating that the reveal will be that Rosa is bi. Along with there being a lot of fan support for bi-Rosa, Stephanie Beatriz has also been very vocal in her hopes that the writers will make Rosa canonically bi. I'm not getting my hopes up too much, in case it doesn't happen, but I will be really happy if it does.
  8. This episode was definitely lacking for me. I wouldn't say it was the worst episode, but B99 usually does a lot better. For the most part I just didn't like how Rosa, Holt, and Amy were used this episode. They are my 3 favorites, so that really brought down my feelings about the episode.. It didn't feel like Rosa was necessary at all in the Terry/Jake plot and I don't think we saw much of Amy and Holt's personalities in their plot with Charles and the forensics's guy. It did feel that Amy/Holt reacted the way that they did to service the storyline, rather than the characters normal personalities shining through. I just think they could have done a lot more with that storyline. That being said, I'm really excited for the 99th episode next week! This was a poor filler episode, but I'm really hopefully that they will give us an amazing milestone episode next week.
  9. Amy's mom definitely had a "my way of doing things is the only correct way" mentality about her. She couldn't comprehend Karen's turkey being as good as hers, so she brought hers along. Jake's mom was the only one who didn't do anything wrong out of the parents. Both Amy's parents were rude and judgemental, and Jake's dad started the competitiveness with Victor by having to give a toast because Victor gave one. I think it is hard to not be judgemental of Jake's dad, but I wish we got a scene where Camila apologized to Karen. I think we are supposed to assume, well I did anyway, that they had their bonding moment when they stayed behind to clean up Roger's blood.. As said in other posts, the West Wing reunion between the dads really limited the mothers roles in the episode though. That said, I thought the actress that played Amy's mother was very entertaining with the material she had and I would like to see her in a storyline with Amy in the future. I think the two episodes with Amy's dad and the one with her mom helped understand how those personalities would shape Amy, but I would still like her to have some more screentime with them. Victor's first appearance was about Jake trying to bond with him and her parents appearance this episode was about their relationship with Jake's parents. I guess what I want is a B-plot that deals a little more with Amy's relationship with her parents, because I feel like these storylines haven't really given us that.
  10. I hope in the future Amy's mother comes back as part of a B-plot, like Kevin or one of Boyle's cousins. I really enjoyed her this episode but I would've liked more of her, since the other parents already had their own episodes. Plus the West Wing reunion kind of overshadowed Karen and Camila's roles in this episode. Also hope that we will met someone from Rosa's family, now that she is getting close to them again. Wonder if they will ever revisit the fact that Jake has some half siblings. I think Jake would attempt to connect with them, but the show might just consider it a onetime joke.
  11. I enjoyed this episode. The parents were great and provided a lot of funny moments. I did wish that maybe the end scene was Jake/Amy reuniting with the squad at the bar, because I did miss that there wasn't a scene with the squad all together for Thanksgiving. Seeing Kevin and Kevin/Holt is always a pleasure and I really loved Rosa saying that she has been getting closer to her family again post-prison. Nikolaj being a basic eater is the funniest/saddest thing for Charles to have to deal with.
  12. B99 isn't on Fox's winter schedule so after its mid-season finale, which I think will be two episodes airing back- to-back on December 12, the show probably won't return until March or April. Also, January 4th is the official start date for B99 reruns to begin airing on TBS. I don't think they've released the times the episodes will be airing yet though.
  13. Yeah, Amy's parents are together. Jake mentioned during the Mr.Santiago episode that they have been married 30+ years, I think. My own headcannon for why we saw Mr.Santiago by himself last year is because the Santiago parents rotate which of their kids they go visit on Thanksgiving. They both are probably only coming this time because Amy just got engaged.
  14. I don't miss Gina and I definitely agree that there is a more positive energy to storylines, that most likely wouldn't be there if Gina was included in them. I just hope that the writers being forced by Chelsea's absence to write storylines that don't include Gina always being right/being mean without consequences, will make them less likely to revert back into that pattern when she returns. I've said it before, I like Gina about half the time and dislike her the other half. I really hope that if this is unfortunately the last season that I will be able to like Gina more than that when she returns, instead of her bringing down storylines for me half the time.
  15. I really enjoyed all 3 storylines and it was fun seeing the Vulture again. I also really liked how connected everyone was this episode. The opening gag of Rosa throwing mini donuts in Jake's mouth appeared again within the episode and the way they brought the Terry/Boyle storylines together, with the party at the end, was really sweet.
  16. Ok, well if this is the last season I hope that we have a lot of episodes of this caliber to look forward too. I think Dan Goor will be aware enough of the situation to not give us a crazy cliffhanger again.
  17. I get what you're saying. B99 having 5 full seasons and remaining a quality show is a big accomplishment and I agree that I would rather lose the show this season, then have it become a sad version of its former self. It just makes me really sad to think of the prospect of losing this show soon, so I cling to the idea that it could have more life on Hulu. When I imagine it going to Hulu it's really just for two shortened seasons, so basically the length of another full season on Fox. That way the show could live a little longer, ideally maintaining its quality, but not long enough that fans are thankful that its ending.
  18. I'm hoping that if this is the last season on Fox, then maybe Hulu will pick up B99. I'm not holding my breathe that it will happen, but with The Mindy Project ending soon maybe Hulu will be interested in saving another comedy.
  19. One of my fears, when I read speculations that the proposal would happen in the Halloween or 99th episode, was that the proposal would take focus off what should be ensemble episodes. I'm glad that the writers once again proved how great they are by giving us a beautiful proposal, while at the same time keeping the Halloween episode as ensemble focused as its always been.
  20. The episode was already so fun, then the proposal happens and I've never related to Boyle more.
  21. I don't think that I will really know how much I liked this episode until I rewatch it. It had a good amount of quality moments, but also felt too rushed as a whole. That being said, some stuff that I loved about this episode was: Amy in the library, Rosa taking Amy's advice and imagining fighting Hawkins, Jake in solitary, Holt pretending to be straight, and the whole talk about Terry being a bad guest on Boyle''s podcast was great. Also, loved the Jake/Amy and Holt reveal at the end.
  22. Alex's apology: I only have love 4 the #BigBrother cast. The show got the best and worst of us.I could be a c*nty potato sometimes & I'm sorry! ❤️Alex Is this damage control? Definitely!. Is she being sincere? Probably not. Does this decrease my aversion to ever seeing Alex on another season of Big Brother? No! However, I think this apology is much better than Elena's. Sincere or not, Alex actually says she is sorry and her post focuses on her actions rather than Elena's post which was a mixture of making excuses about her behavior/trying to gain forgiveness/ and very little owning up to her words. Don't get me wrong, I still dislike Alex but I appreciate anytime a public apology is done that owns up to actions versus the whole, "I'm sorry, if I offended you" version of an apology that people often do.
  23. This was probably my favorite season opener. I can't even describe how happy I am to have this show back. Despite the fact that this episode was about characters that I love being miserable in prison, I still left the episode feeling giddy because it was so good to have these characters and relationships on my screen again. My Jake/Amy loving heart also melted at his line to her at the end. Also appreciated that this episode didn't feel overcrowded and they stuck to just an A and B plot.
  24. Some Alex Tweets about her hatred of Kevin: Wow, much like Paul, this girl will never realize how much of a favor production gave her with her edit. She expects us to believe that KEVIN was this evil mastermind that knew exactly when the feeds went on and off so he could torture Alex at the proper moments. Also, with how much Kevin hate talk was going on during his isolation, its strange how the houseguests didn't use "Kevin's bullying of Alex" as ammo ,if it was like she's claiming. In addition, on at least two occasions Josh and Jason basically told her to cool it down on her hatred of Kevin. If Alex was getting so bullied behind the scenes and they all were against Kevin, then why would they do that. Basically, I hate Alex and if she was smart (or even just not dumb) she would try to drive her narrative with the fans away from the Kevin stuff and on to the good will she was starting to build (with non-Paul fans) for her vote.
  25. Hate having to defend Paul, but in terms of Josh not being there I think Josh had already left with his family for home. Paul's bitterness might lead to him bailing on a friendship with Josh in the near future, but as of now I think they've hung out post show.
