  1. Oh please the writers of this show only seem to understand triangles and repeating the same boring couples over and over again. While I'm not thrilled with the idea of Taylor being involved with another of Brooke's exes, I would have gone with it in this case. NuTaylor and Deacon had/have chemistry. Sigh. Why try for something new when you can just rinse and repeat the Ridge/Taylor/Brooke nonsense? Yep Douglas is awesome!
  2. This spoiler about Taylor just irritates me. Not because I'm a big Taylor fan but rather I really wanted her to tell Ridge to take this marriage and shove it up his arse. Just once I'd like to see a female call Ridge on his nonsense. You know the writers probably aren't going to let Brooke do that either. Both of these characters (Taylor and Brooke) should tell Ridge to move along. But nope, let's have Taylor not tell Ridge about their insane son so he has an excuse to run back to Brooke. How romantic for Brooke to have her destiny return to her! Honestly, I'm mostly hate watching at this point.
  3. I know! Isn't it just terrible Paget Brewster decided to stop coloring her hair? How dare she! Sigh. Garcia. Honestly that's the one character I'd prefer not return. Not sure about this serial killer network but I will give this a chance and continue watching. I miss Spencer but as long as I have Emily, I am good.
  4. That would be awesome. But I'd like to also add that Steffy tells Taylor about the call. Taylor finally realizes the truth about the Tridge reunion. Taylor goes to the wedding and then dumps that info on Ridge at the alter and tells him she isn't going to be his second choice anymore. Then Ridge runs to Brooke and she slams the door in his face. Ridge leaves town and maybe returns as a recast and this new actor actually has charisma and looks like a fashion designer. Oh and Bill grows the f up and stops ping ponging between Katie and Brooke and finds Li.
  5. Generally speaking, I've never liked the character Brooke. I've never understood Brooke's alleged appeal etc. Certainly KKL and RM had great chemistry but I was never all about the pairing. I liked Ridge and Taylor during the first run and marriage of that pairing but after that? No thanks. Now having typed all that I will say I am ovah Brooke crying about Ridge. Good lawd. Even a character I don't care much about deserves better than this waffling hobo! What are the writers doing to this character? We had to endure months of her repeating 'I don't know why I drank on new year's eve' to the current 'why did Ridge leave me? Destiny!' Seriously? Frankly both Taylor and Brooke deserve better than Ridge. No matter how I feel about either character, they deserve better than Ridge. Every single day I wonder who on the writing staff thinks any of this is romantic or appealing. These are allegedly professional soap writers and as far as I can tell, not one of them understands soaps. The insistence that Brooke and Ridge end up together is ridiculous at this point. KKL and TK have managed zero chemistry (and perhaps negative chemistry) throughout his time as Ridge. And yet? The audience is expected to be cheering for their reunion. The never-ending revolving door of Ridge dumping Brooke for some inane reason and then her crying and chasing him around and then them eventually reuniting is tiresome. Beyond tiresome. Again I don't care that much about Brooke but I say free her from this nonsense. TK has managed a bit of chemistry with KA. I'm not a huge fan of this version of Taylor but I think it's better than watching the last few years of HT's insane Taylor. While I think this pairing has more chemistry, the way it's been written so far is just gross and unappealing. Why not let both Brooke and Taylor explore something with someone completely new and let Ridge go abuse some other female (preferably off screen)? Of course, it will never happen. B&B likes nothing better than recycling through the same old pairings, the same old storylines and the same old lines ... over and over and over again. I also wanted to add that I hate, HATE how Bill has been written lately. He goes to Katie to reunite and professes his love. She says yeah I don't think so and 5 seconds later he's professing his undying love to Brooke? Right back to gross and unappealing. Bill and Li has so much potential. Sigh. Why can't I ever have nice things on this show?
  6. The thing that gets me with all this Ridge/Brooke/Taylor stuff is - there are professional writers and show runners who apparently believe what they are putting on screen is a love story or love in the afternoon. I don't care if one like Brooke and hates Taylor or likes Taylor and hates Brooke - neither women deserve Ridge. Neither. Yes both characters have gone into this situation with eyes wide open but come on. I'm exhausted by the repeated conversations. I'm exhausted by new Taylor's giggling. I'm exhausted with Brooke's refrain about her destiny (blah blah). And aside from that? Seriously Bill? The writers have him ask Katie for another chance, she logically rejects the idea and he immediately runs to pee all over Brooke? Absolutely nothing appealing or romantic about any of that. Deacon is basically living with Sheila. He hasn't turned her in which is going to bite him in the arse soon and he runs to propose to Brooke? What?!? It makes zero sense and again, there isn't anything romantic or appealing about it. The show is capable of good stuff. But it only manages that about 1% of the time and these days that 1% rarely involves Brooke, Ridge or Taylor.
  7. This show makes these actors repeat the same lines over and over and over again. I mean wasn't Brooke still blathering on and on about that New Years drink well into May? And that's just with a 20 minute show! Can you imagine how painful it would be to see the same storylines and lines repeated every day for 40 minutes? No thank you! I actually didn't mind Katie and Carter at all. However, I'm pretty sure getting involved with her wouldn't get him the child he wants. I hate the way Quarter has ended. I realize the actress wanted to leave but after Quinn racing around on a bike to stop Carter from marrying and the big speech at the wedding ... this is what is left? Come on. I would have much preferred Carter being on screen and Quinn still with him but off screen.
  8. Well I mean he was fat ... so maybe that's worse than being a rival mobster? I guess mileage varies but I don't think Sonny has suddenly become a 'good' character because he lost his memory for a while in NF and now he's supposedly Smike. Sonny is always Sonny and the character is just as gross as Michael or Carly. I haven't the slightest idea what Nina is supposed to see in him.
  9. When did Sonny stop being a horrible villain? He's a mob boss who has had quite a number of people murdered, beaten etc. I realize he's allegedly changed since the prolonged trip to NF but come on! I notice he hasn't given up the mob life despite this alleged change. Honestly I don't care about Michael but I sure care even less about Sonny. I'm not into the Sonny/Nina pairing but if it keeps him away from Carly then that's fine. I don't think Drew/Carly has much more chemistry than Sonny/Nina but whatever - if it keeps Carly away from Sonny so be it. Though I cannot figure out what Nina or Drew sees in either of those monsters!
  10. I've been thinking this for ages. I don't see what either of them sees in Ridge - especially this version. These characters are too old to be acting this childishly. I really don't understand how the writers think any of this is entertainment or remotely romantic. Ridge never has any scenes in which he is required to do a bit of romantic wooing for either woman. Brooke can blather on and on about destiny but when has Ridge even acknowledged this so called destiny? Additionally, I'm sick and tired of Bill and Brooke remembering their romance. It's the same damn scenes over and over. Plus, I'm not forgetting that he lost her because he was humping a model ... of a building. Lawd. I'm team Bill and Li all the way.
  11. The Fog has always been one of my favorites! No, it isn't really all that scary (a few jump scares get me) but it's the atmosphere that holds the movie together. Agreed. She is terrific in this movie. I especially enjoy the beginning with John Houseman - using that voice to great effect. And the scene in the gas station/convenience store. This movie may not get mentioned along side many better known Carpenter films, but I think it's well worth a watch. Do not even bother with the remake. Uggghh.
  12. They are still married and are now grandparents! Yep Bo and Carly were the first couple I really followed on this show, so very much agree. I used to love Jack and Jennifer too. They were a rather unique pairing. I don't like what these writers have done with Jack at all. Fine retcon a child - whatever but why make her so awful? And why does she have to be the only thing Jack cares about? Why is Kristin still around? WHY? I've stayed away for a while and have been catching up on peacock but I'm having a tough time sticking with the show. The writing is so so bad. And the threesome? Do. Not. Care.
  13. I have no issue with the dreadlocks but rather the clear lack of quality! In the light, the dreadlocks look horrible and super cheap. Not that anyone's wig looks particularly terrific but I really noticed Corly's in this episode. I think Alicent is just as in on the king plotting as her father. At least that how it appears to me. I felt like she knew just when to deploy the old 'when my mom died' stuff and Viserys fell for that easily. I was surprised the theme song is basically the same as GoT - there is something more drum-y about it to my ears. Not sure I enjoy the blood flow though! I think it's pretty obvious Rhaenyra and Matt/Daemon are heading for some incest. At least it's not twincest.
  14. This. This I need to happen, so of course it won't and he'll probably help that psycho. I want Deacon to stick around and not get into trouble for helping Sheila. I want him to pursue Taylor to drive Ridge insane. And I want Taylor to finally walk away from the hobo and take a chance with Deacon. Listen I know Taylor is a pain in the arse and not a favorite of many around here but I'd rather watch her with Deacon (or Jack), than cooing over Ridge. I'd like Brooke to be set free of Ridge too, but alas I don't think that is evah going to happen permanently. I now also need some Quarter and !BillLi!!!
  15. Completely agree. There's just no way to find realism in anything Li did to get Finn where ever she has him. No surprise and most soap viewers are just willing to gloss over that. I do appreciate that Finn looks very sickly and he cannot immediately be running around. I want Li back though!
  16. I'd be all for this too but that will likely never happen. Why? Because it wouldn't drive Ridge to be all upset and rage-y the way a pairing with Deacon will. Bell and his merry band of idiot writers cannot conceive of the notion that Taylor should have moved on years and years ago. Hells bells they cannot conceive of the notion that Brooke should have moved on years and years ago! But at least Brooke had some excuses - she was married to the OG waffle. So of course the Taylor/Deacon thing will happen and Ridge will be all up in their business because of his great concern. This will cause friction in the alleged destiny relationship. Rinse and repeat ad nauseum. And that issue still remains, particularly when you look at who is available on canvas. The pickings are decidedly slim and mostly lead to being Brooke's leftovers. Just let me see Quarter once in a while and then let Li discover Bill. That might give me some relief from Bridge/destiny.
  17. Well I mean who else is there? Since this show acts as though LA is a small town, Taylor doesn't have many choices in terms of a new love interest. Plus let's face it, anyone who is around is a Brooke leftover. I feel like Taylor/Deacon has potential. It would get her away from the awful Ridge - go - round and it would give Deacon something to do. I cannot stand that voice anymore than I can deal with Taylor's insipid giggling around Ridge.
  18. Agreed on Quinn and Carter and I'm sure these writers will do all they can to ruin it but I will enjoy the pairing while I can. Brooke ...single and happy ?!? Oh come on! As if that could ever happen! Brooke's twu luv is Ridge ... she must be with Ridge ... she must put up with all nonsense because destiny and whatever. The show would never let Brooke be single and happy, so I'd vote for new guy but that will never happen either. I mean these writers had Bill throw away his chance with Brooke for a building (!) just so we could swing back around to Bridge. I wish Taylor would be allowed to move on from Ridge too. The part is recast, so why not move her to someone new? Why not Bill? Maybe he could confront her about shooting him and then sparks fly. I really don't care, I'm over her giggling over Ridge.
  19. Donna would be in the running with those two but I agree! Donna, Zende and Paris could all use a little self respect. Add Eric who probably could stand to use a little time on his own! He'll probably be married to Donna by next week and have a portrait painted for the wall. Right? I am so over her acting as though Carter did something to Zoey! Carter was certainly in the wrong with his actions towards Paris but Grace should be pleased the marriage didn't actually happen. I think he's much better in the acting department when paired with other strong actors. It was true on Guiding Light too. But I mean he is quite good shirtless too!
  20. Eric is a jerk and has always been. Always. And yet? The writers (no matter the decade) seem to always write things as though Eric is a good guy. Like we're all supposed to go 'ahhhhh Eric gets it, he told Quinn to go and get Carter!' Except if you stop and really think about it ... that's not at all what happened. Eric only told Quinn all of that because she caught him in the act. He wasn't planning on telling her the truth about Donna until well after Carter was married! Yes, Quinn cheated first but she chose Eric. Even after the whole ED nonsense. Eric let her run around talking about their commitment blah blah all the while he was once again cheating on a wife. Ick. And I am sorry but really Donna? Eric broke up your marriage because you gained weight and he recently fired you! But way to be thirsty over a dude who would turn on you in an instant if Brooke wanted him back. I realize most of these characters cruise past all their horrible actions but Eric not only skates by but he also gets the good guy narrative no matter what. It's quite tiresome. I want Li to discover Bill.
  21. I saw this last night and really, really enjoyed it. It was very intense. The young actress playing the sister was a stand out - though every one of the actors was terrific. Well worth seeing!
  22. Supernatural was about Sam and Dean. Both of them. No I don't think anyone needed to ask JP's permission to make a prequel but I can understand (somewhat) why fans get up in arms over this stuff. I'm sorry but if JP had announced a prequel that was about Sam searching for the truth about their parents and that JP was narrating it with no mention of Dean or JA, do you really believe the Dean/JA faction would have been happy? Come on. I certainly don't think JA would have thrown a hissy fit on twitter like JP but I fully believe the Dean/JA fans would have. Over the course of 15 seasons, there were plenty of Dean centric seasons and storylines as well as Sam centric seasons and storylines. So his praise of the finale negates his 15 seasons on the show? I will respectfully disagree with that. He either said he liked the finale to be politically correct to his bosses or he really liked it and maybe that just proves he doesn't have good taste in writing. I hated the finale. Actually to be more specific I really hated the last 2 seasons. I didn't think much of the prequel trailer but at the same time I never thought the world need a walker texas ranger reboot - so what do I know?
  23. I guess I shouldn't have used the word canon since that seems to be an issue. For me the concept of John not knowing about the supernatural until Mary's death was an interesting plot point and I found it unexpected. I liked that rather than the typical thing where the male characters past is the reason the female character is killed, Kripke and co changed it up. Mary's past as a hunter is what caught up to her. I realize mind wipes and so forth can be used but I've always found that to be a cop out. Just my opinion and my own feelings on it. The trailer didn't impress me whatsoever. But I'm sure I will at least watch a few episodes and go from there. I love a lot of Supernatural and I think JA and co will at least be better than the last several seasons of the original show.
  24. I am not a JP stan and I remain very skeptical of this show. That trailer did absolutely nothing for me, it looks like a typical teen/young person CW show. It doesn't feel remotely Supernatural-ish to me. And despite the many issues I had with Supernatural as it went on, I do find the potential changes to canon for this prequel to be a bit questionable. That's not a buzzword to me nor does it mean that I'm someone's stan. Exactly and agreed. Honestly I'm rather exhausted by this whole taking sides narrative.
  25. While I agree that Quarter works better as does Eric and Donna, I hate that the way these stupid writers have done this story. It's all so insulting and ridiculous. Not as bad as any of this Steffy/Liam/Hope crap but still ...
