It was fun to see actors playing Francis Ford Coppola and Brando and other familiar figures, but unfortunately the main character is an unlikeable douchebag, and even worse, he's boring. Was it in Ruddy's contract for this that every character has to mention what great big balls he has? That got really tiresome, along with his general idiocy and pointless dickishness to the women in his life who have no other motivation than to be around him and help him. The Godfather is one of the best-selling books in US history. Why was it such an ordeal to make a movie out of it? Maybe because the producers were incompetent idiots?

I've been trying to imagine how messed up you would be if it were actually possible to stick your hands in boiling water, grab an iron bar and hold on to it for 60 seconds, and then receive no medical treatment. Our man Ragnvold was up and fighting with weapons in his hands after just a few days. Maybe the Danish gods are real.

There will be 5 more episodes, the last one will be delayed a week so it will air on April 3. General consensus is that they will announce a movie that will be released in 1-2 years to complete the story. I broke down and binged the rest of the manga. This comment doesn't reveal the plot but has my general takeaway:

Saw on Reddit there will be six more episodes after today's. And some commenters seem to think this is STILL not the last part.

He tried to save someone's life and instead saw that person shot to death by the powers that be, who then were a hair's breadth away from murdering him and his mother, settling for locking them in a plane for a month, and still didn't trust them. No explanation for your second point though

I would have been most concerned about the structural integrity of the building. Frozen pipes bursting and flooding everything. Seems unlikely any high rise would still be standing after 20 years.

Yeah, a high-rise apartment with no power would be a most undesirable place to live, which is exactly why they were planning to leave. And they wouldn't have had any supplies which weren't in abundance everywhere, with 99.9 percent of people dead.

Leon continues to be the best part of the show "Even mice don't like feta cheese" and of course is Larry's actual spouse since Cheryl left. By the time you're 80, shouldn't you not be so obsessed with sex with young women anymore? I am 40 and already over it. I don't want to be reminded of Woody Allen so much by this show.

Yeah, it's not clear if they are just making fun of diversity or making fun of companies like Netflix paying lip service to diversity but just hired these people to agree with everything the white male producer says.

I was watching Dances With Wolves recently and when Graham Greene is trying to get Mary McDonnell to remember her English so she can translate, he says "Kiksuya yo!" which instantly reminded me of this, the best episode of Westworld.

Gen X is just a bunch of lazy slackers! Like, you know, whatever! Michelle McLaren directed many episodes of Breaking Bad which had the character "Don Eladio" so maybe that's where that name comes from. I hope Brooke lays down the law with Grandma next week about honking the horn during Laila's session.

There were two things that made this season excruciating to watch. Number one, the choice to withhold so much information from the viewers by keeping our perspective with characters who don't know anything. And two, the whole head fake with Zeke secretly being on Eldia's side. There is just no way to square his previous actions with that idea. What is Eren really thinking? We still have to wait a long time to find out. I'm guessing that he intends to do what he said he would do from the beginning: drive out all the Titans. He has knowledge that he's not sharing with anyone (although his fight with Armin may have been a way to discreetly slip him some information via Titan magic). He has his own plan, maybe along with Historia. What was the point of Historia reclaiming the throne if she's just going to disappear and let the military continue running everything? Where was the leadership, planning and strategy for the Eldians over four years? None of them should have trusted Zeke for even a second or believed a single word he said, much less allowed anyone to consume a drop of that wine. What the fuck happened with Zeke at the end there? We've never seen a Titan do that before. Was it still obeying Zeke's commands, will that somehow keep him alive? We don't get to find out for a long time. Zeke's "euthanasia" plan is just genocide... and at this point he doesn't seem to distinguish between sterilizing people and just killing them or turning them into Titans. How could any of his followers possibly be on board with this? It makes more sense if they think his plan is to start the "rumbling" and smush Marley into rubble. Marley is evil for using Titans in warfare, but a plan to exterminate all Eldians is somehow beautiful and noble? From a few comments I've seen, it will be worth the wait. But a series of reversals, plot twists, and head fakes is not a great way to tell a story. This season was beautiful up until the "Zeke was good all along" nonsense. He is the villain. It's a very Biblical concept - two brothers, one loved, one unloved. His episode was a villain's backstory. The adopted father figure with his own twisted background.

That's why you can't read or watch anything that even mentions Attack on Titan. It's just luck that some troll hasn't found this thread and posted all the spoilers

I also thought Mare would be more concerned about her daughter not answering the phone the day after another teenage girl was found murdered. Especially when learning they had been in the same place.

No, that was Sasha. I can buy that Zeke's plan is what it is. What I can't buy is that anyone else would ever be on board with it.

My thoughts on the conclusion of the first half of the season:

Now that I think about it some more, Zeke's actions make more sense if acquiring the Warhammer Titan is an essential part of his plan. So I'm going with the real plan being to unite all Titan powers in one person.

You are correct that it doesn't make sense. Zeke should have defected as soon as he learned that someone named "Eren Jaeger" had the Founding Titan. At that point, he should have realized that his father's mission was a success. Also, at that point ALL of the Titan shifters except the Warhammer Titan were present on Paradis Island. Zeke had Reiner, Berthold, Ymir, and Pieck under his command and could have just delivered them to the Eldians easily. Granted, he was also unaware of the political situation, since Reiner and Berthold ran off before the coup. From his perspective the royal government would have been just as much an enemy as Marley. But instead of assessing the situation and taking action, he sat and waited for the Scouts to attack him. Meanwhile, Eren came within a hair's breadth of getting eaten, which would have undone all of Grisha's efforts. Zeke continued to fight for Marley for four years, slaughtering enemy troops and sacrificing thousands of his own people, turning them into Titans, etc, and for what? He went to a lot of trouble to make it look as if he had been killed by Levi, but the Marleyans saw through that within a few hours. I think we're still waiting for an explanation that makes all of this make sense. If there is one.
