  1. The jewelry storyline felt like when you are watching a show where you know the writers don't like a couple to stay together for too long and suddenly this weird and forced conflict happens to ruffle everything up again. So that was weird because there was a lot of stuff already going on that Carter had a right to be pretty pissed about and could have caused the desired relationship hiccups. Carter finds out her dad lied to her about Lori, oh but that's okay. Then she finds out that her dad wrote the book anyway and it's pretty terrible, but that's mostly okay too. But sure, let's have Bird's mom show up for her annual visit so Bird can randomly accuse Carter of theft and get her arrested. And Elizabeth asks questions about finding the jewelry and it's all whoaaa the parentals suck, I gotsta go. Oh, and those poor cookies. :(
  2. Yeah the Mona thing was coming from a mile away, but I still held out hope til I saw CorpseMona at the end. And even then, there have been so many fakeouts, there's a little hope left in me. I can appreciate having a meaningful death and Mona being too formidable alive, but she was just fun to have around. I was loving the idea of the show picking back up with a war against Ali's mega army. And it would have changed this dynamic of almost always being on the defensive, just being tormented repeatedly by A, following every "lead" (even if they know A planted it?!), still being complete idiots about discretion and secrecy 99% of the time.
  3. She's so gifted she knew that Angelo was tanking in the middle of taking her SAT, while it took the medical team ages longer to respond. (Can't believe anyone thought it would be a good idea to even try taking an SAT. Even super Daphne has her limits.)
  4. Jackson does some pretty stupid stuff sometimes in the beginning ("hmmm let me stick my hand in the face this cat with very aggressive body language, WHOA I GOT THE WORST SCRATCH IN THE HISTORY OF MY SHOW AGAIN") but on what planet was that a "controlled" meet? Dumping a clearly terrified cat in the middle of two dogs without any way to physically keep them apart. Annnd, unsurprisingly, the cat is terrorized while humans cluelessly chase behind. Good thing Precious knows how to hustle.
  5. Yeah I was kinda wondering about that myself... I mean ultimately the outcome was definitely the best for Lux, but using an exclusion diagnosis because he had one behavioral problem in one week of being with foster parents seems iffy. The environment he had been in was obviously very stressful - they seemed to be freaking out even when Lux just meowed, who knows how much he'd been poked and prodded by baby, probably was anxious about being locked in one room and having to go back to that. Even just Teresa's level of anxiety and fear rising could be upsetting if they used to have such a close bond. Can a cat just instantly get over all the anxiety just by getting transplanted? I would think it would take some time, and maybe some unknown triggers raise his stress levels in the meantime. Though the antidepressants might help keep it from getting too overwhelming.
