    Oh so NOW everyone cares about the women’s salaries because their golden girl is getting paid eighty grand a year.  No one batted an eye when Brittany Griner was in the fucking gulag because she was trying to make some more bank.  I hate people.  The women have been complaining about this for YEARS but no one deigned to listen before.

    I made it to halftime and then bailed when UConn got up double digits.

    The women outrated the men, one assumption could be that people wanted to see Caitlin even if SC’s undefeated season was most likely to conclude with the natty, and people didn’t think Purdue had a reasonable chance to win and Zach isn’t that much of a draw?

    UConn did not go undefeated, so what happened on the days they lost, and why couldn’t anyone replicate that?  I ask why plaintively, and whining, because fuck UConn.

    Pretty sure last night the full-throated Yankees crowd was chanting “fuck the Blue Jays” during a time when Michael Kay was letting the game breathe.  Methinks some fines are heading YES’s way.

    I wonder why some birthdays hit differently than others?

    For instance, Tiki Barber (huh.  I just realized that the newspaper mentioned Tiki, and not Hall of Famer Ronde.  Stands to reason they share a birthday) turns 49 today and I was like “huh.  That seems right.”

    But also celebrating a birthday today is Tony Dorsett, who turns 70, and I was like “70? 70?!? No way I feel like I *just* saw him play.”  Very odd dichotomy.

    What the fuck.  Stroman is pitching a gem in his home debut so of course Boone pulls him and of course the next pitcher gives up a homer on like his first pitch.

    On an unrelated note the gentleman who sang the national anthem was fantastic.
