  1. Hi Walton fans, hope you can help me. I watched the show in the 90's (not sure what channel.) This is so random but I remember a scene where Grandma was cutting Grandpa's hair and he was talking about how he kept it long like his father, and it was a tradition in his family for men to wear their hair long? Is this even a scene? Anyway that's how I remember it, would love to know what episode it was. Thanks.
  2. This show is very tolerant and inclusive, their characters include gay, disabled, many different ethnic groups and people in interracial relationships to name a few. I think they can make room (no pun intended) for a female who may be carrying a few extra pounds.
  3. I've noticed since JLH was on the show they frequently camouflage her hips and stomach as if she's pregnant, and she wears loose clothing in that area. I'm thinking maybe she has some post-natal baby weight but it still seems unlikely to me that they would hide it on this show. Maybe it's her choice because she feels self-conscious? Also, why doesn't Chim's brother speak with an accent since he just arrived from Korea where he grew up, what did I miss there?
  4. Yes, totally. Once you've watched this (and the other 911) for a while you can kind of see those "gotcha" moments coming a mile away.
  5. Did anyone else cringe at how close the flame was to Holly when Bar took her to the hibachi restaurant? I'm sure the diners are seated at a safe distance but still...almost as bad as when he took her to watch daddy get face tattoos. I feel like Brianna was pressured to date this season just to lift her out of her boring story line. And she's paying for the house her family lives in (or she said so a few episodes ago) so it's in her best interest to do anything to stay on the show.
  6. Okay the suggestion that the eggs were too hot is a good explanation. All I was thinking was can a baby choke on scrambled eggs? It seemed unlikely.
  7. Yep, all I could think was has she ever walked through the handbag section of, say, Nordstrom or TJ Maxx? There was nothing exciting or original even in the new stuff at the end of the show.
  8. I'm guessing this is because her life is so boring right now and producers constructed this to bring in some drama. Don't forget when they cast her she was in a volatile relationship with Danae while he was in the midst of his gender transition process. And they found him interesting enough to give him his own show when the relationship ended. When it comes to child support, I don't know how the laws work if the parents are living in separate states. Is one state still able to attach a parent's pay for child support? I want to like Brianna and her mom but please, eat some healthier food! Seems like they are always eating junk and fast food, not good for the baby and in a few years Brianna will weigh as much as her mom.
  9. Started off on the lighter side but really got grim. Am I the only one who noticed and laughed at Buck slipping all over the ice?
  10. I mentioned in one of my posts last season that my money was on Kayla for being the first to get pregnant again and with a different dad. I hate being right about this, especially if money from the show was one of her incentives.
  11. I've only ever seen boxed ice cream served in slices when it's Neapolitan like in your picture (meaning equal parts strawberry, chocolate and vanilla.) If that sounds tasty (and it is!) try the Klondike Neapolitan bars.
  12. Agreed on both, the Ken Cosgrove guy was driving me crazy, had to look him up on imdb. Totally pegged that actress from Silence of the Lambs right away--she actually is aging well and still looks surprisingly young considering how old that movie is! Anyway, good casting choice.
  13. The scene where Khloe went to the doctor's office with Kim, she was wearing a black cap that covered her hair. I did a double-take thinking that was Kris' hair then realized it was Khloe. Wow they really do resemble each other and I don't mean in a genetic way, more like they had their nose and lips done by the same plastic surgeon. Also has Kim had even more work done on her nose? It seems even thinner this season than last season.
  14. Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't made the connection, but you're right, he was watching Magnum PI earlier in the episode. I had been thinking he was going for a Miami Vice look. Yes, very cringe worthy and my least favorite scene of the episode. The show is scary and creepy, yes, but that kind of scene belongs in one of the many many true crime shows that run 24/7. I would love to see a Joyce/Mr. Clarke romance! She doesn't love Hopper, I can't see them ending up together.
  15. Yes it's one of those little-known gems, so worth watching if you can find it. I never saw any other Albert Brooks movies but I almost got the sense he was stepping back and letting her be the star just because she was so darn good, hitting all the right notes. And the scenes with the whiny, competitive younger brother were priceless!
  16. If I heard her right, one of the girls in this week's episode said she was spiritual once when she used to put rocks out on her window sill when there was a full moon....wtf. Was I they only one who caught that?
  17. So true, and not surprised at all that the phone cases aren't selling, many who post on this board predicted as much. And the sample they had on the table had pineapples on it...trendy maybe but as we've all mentioned before there is nothing unique or original about the designs on those overpriced phone cases. I noticed they've added a wireless charging pad to that line as well, and out of curiosity I looked it up on the Everkin website. It sells for $49, meanwhile a similar charger which is currently the #2 seller in the Amazon "Charging Stations" category can be had for $13.99. Good luck with that. I don't get why these phone cases seem to be such a blind spot for Marcus--overall I respect him for his shrewdness. As for the two guys...Marcus visits so many businesses run by people who are arrogant, lacking basic business sense, troubled, etc. I'd like to see more sincere people to balance it out--my favorite have been the mom and her son who ran Mr. Cory's Cookies. As I remember from that episode even the little kid understood the financial statements better than most of the adults we see on this show.
  18. This episode reminded me of the Planet Popcorn one, with the female owner and her sketchy boyfriend playing loose with the facts and misusing funds. So many red flags in both episodes.
  19. Agree with pretty much all the comments here on this episode. Not much to add except the sticker shock at seeing the cases were expected to sell for $40 at the T Mobile store! Not one of the designs was unique and variations can be had for under $10 easily at places like Marshalls or Amazon. If TM really charges that much I would guess they are relying on aggressive upselling and impulse buys, especially for a parent buying the phone as a Christmas or birthday gift for their kid. I loved the MLB idea of going beyond logos and instead using iconic images that are meaningful to the fans. Also found it interesting to hear that designs and logos worn on caps are often a good barometer of what fans might buy in other products.
  20. I think I remember that phrase from a Stephen King novel and I was pretty sure it was one word. Sure enough, according to urbandictionary.com: crazy as a shithouse rat: Deranged, demented behavior that others deem similar to that of a rodent that dwells in a wood shithouse. Last night's episode had Brent and Sara cementing their relationship in a loud nightclub while Panos looked on disapprovingly. Even though they had mikes strapped to their back so we could hear them, how could he possibly hear the conversation? That always bugs me in any show or movie. Plus the pretense that Lindsay and Panos don't want any of the "ambassadors" to hook up is so blatantly stupid, they all live together and are half-dressed most of the time, plus the booze is flowing wherever they are.
  21. Is it wrong to say I hope it does just because (maybe) the cameras and/or negative publicity will prevent Bar or Stephan from being violent? Why was Ashley swaying back and forth throughout her whole segment--that was weird.
  22. I noticed she and her friends were wearing those at the birthday party. What horrible design combined with thin fabric, that is a piece of clothing that would flatter nobody. I understand Kayla's mom's position, but where is she going to go with an infant, no income and a deadbeat dad. Is the MTV money enough to fund her and her baby living on their own I wonder? Also with that new boyfriend on the scene my money is on Kayla as the first of the moms to have baby #2.
  23. Honestly as things all shake out he is the best of the bunch (of baby dads.) Not physically abusive, no drug issues that we know of. And he's there. Yes he's mean but compared to what the other moms have experienced between their own parents and their baby dads, Lexi is kind of a babe in the woods.
  24. My small town had its annual tree lighting ceremony today. I don't know what percentage of the population shows up every year but it certainly makes me feel like I'm living in a Hallmark Christmas movie! Not to mention the quaint, independently-owned downtown coffee shop. I'm bored with this year's formulaic offerings from Hallmark, however I did DVR "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" which I watched and enjoyed last year--I'll save that one for gift-wrapping entertainment.
