  1. Well, yes, Kim is a recovering alcoholic who abused alcohol and drugs for decades. I don't know if we are sure that she is drug-free, that may be a work in progress as well, that subject does not get spoken about openly by Kim or her family members. I think drug use was always secondary to her alcoholism. I don't know a lot about brain recovery from such abuses, but the little I know indicates that all is not lost and over time the brain can bounce back to a great extent for many. When compared to what we've seen, Kim is much clearer minded. We also see a socially awkward person. From season 1 we heard about Kim's anxiety in social situations due to isolation as a child star and years later as an adult throwing herself into motherhood and not socialising and never really making many friends. So yeah, I agree, she's difficult to watch.
  2. There's not one person I like on the left couch. And Kim was right to call Eileen and Rinna the Soap Twins, Eileen is so far up Rinna's ass, has no original thought of her own and even copied her smug "bye, bye Kim" with the stupid double handed wave. What an ass, she just made Kim's point. And because twice isn't enough, Rinna follows Eileen and says it again gesturing. Perhaps Conjoined Soap Twins is more accurate, they share the same asshole.
  3. i guess the couch was too far gone to have it re-upholstered? Or maybe she's ready to move on from that part of her life. The swatches of fabric were in this weeks episode too, just no longer on the back of the couch. They were behind Bethenny's head as she sat across from Carole. I assumed the swatches were to re-upholster the couch, but they were probably for a new couch she was ordering and trying to decide what fabric to get it in.
  4. B looks tortured and miserable, and for a woman who's in her mid 40's she looks 60.
  5. Agreed. Candace Bushnell is 100 times more interesting than B. It's an easy fix.
  6. Dammit, I'm feeling for Tyler. I go back and forth between he and Cate. Cate doesn't seem to care that Tyler's depressed. She poo-poos his legitimate feelings and calls him a dick. Does she have any empathy or support? These two seem more like brother and sister or old high school buddies than husband and wife. I want to cut and style Cate's bangs and take her shopping for new clothes. She always looks unkempt.
  7. I think so, I either saw it on Instagram or Twitter awhile back. I heard it's like SammyDress (aka ScammyDress), where they steal photos from high fashion manufacturers and post them as their own photos, and what they send is a very poorly made replica which somewhat resembles the original. In some cases it barely resembles the original and falls apart or badly pills after a couple washings. Here it is: http://beforeverhaute.com/?page_id=170
  8. Seriously, they're not far off from this being a reality! I know a few divorced couples with kids that live within a couple blocks of each other. My co-worker bought the house next door to his ex because they share custody of their 2 daughters and they got along really well co-parenting. They both dated others after their divorce, but after about 5 years they got back together and they've been remarried now for about 2 years. Not that I would want to see that happen with Geery and Amber, but I would love to see Amber move into Gary's neighborhood or at least near his neighborhood for Leah's sake. Amber could afford to buy a house in that neighborhood and still live within her means when the MTV money dries up. She'd be better off going to beauty school for cosmetology and hair because there's no way her clothing retail business will be successful. She is the most unorganized person, how does she think she can run a business? Plus, those clothes she sells are supposedly cheap knockoffs and poorly made by a second rate Chinese manufacturer.
  9. I know what you're saying and I agree. I also love dry shampoo on clean hair for volume. The problem is Cate doesn't care if she's presentable to the outside world. She needs to make showering part of her daily routine. I get that she's depressed and it's typical to neglect your hygiene, but one of the things most therapists urge is to force yourself to take a shower each day because it is the starting point for self care. Everyone feels better after a shower, in a way it's therapeutic. It's not like she has to rush around in the morning to show up for work at 8:00 and doesn't have the time to spend 20 minutes showering and getting dressed in clean clothes each day. Baby steps. She needs routine.
  10. Erika is a bore. She's about as interesting as watching grass grow. I hope her career soars at Y&R and takes her cooch elsewhere. And take the Soap Twins with ya.
  11. Catelynn is creating a long-term problem/pattern by loafing around all day and isolating herself. At 25 she should be active and more social and either creating a positive environment at home or engaging in something outside the home. I get that she's depressed, and I don't believe for one minute that she completly stopped smoking weed. She inebriates herself with food, pot, and the internet. She needs a schedule, a routine, which is difficult for her because she wasn't raised with it, but damn, she's gonna ruin Nova if she doesn't push herself to do more than lay around. I don't see her trying and keeping a small part time job any time soon, which is fine--baby steps. But she could get up every morning at 7am and take a daily shower, get breakfast together for the 3 of them or take turns with Tyler, clean the kitchen and get herself into something other than couch clothes, and spend 10-15 minutes fixing her hair and applying a little mascara and lip gloss.(when you look better you feel better). Get Nova dressed and take the stroller just once around the block (the more frequently she spends a little time with Nova in the fresh air, the more she'll actually start looking forward to it and will take longer strolls, fake it til you make it). If she would commit to that every morning for a month she would find herself in a better place and willing to add a few more baby steps to her daily "routine". She could enroll in a pottery or jewelry making classes or anything that brings her a little joy and gets her mind and body outside of her environment. I actually think she has the potential to be a good mom and live a happier life. I believe Tyler is the number one negative influence on her. He is a self-centered, snarky, negative little bitch and always gives her the impression that she's not good enough (which feeds into the mental torture she grew up with by being raised by an alcoholic). She isn't around enough positivity and joy on a regular basis.
  12. I think she atrophied as she got older and married. It happens.
  13. I agree. After about 5 seasons, the HW franchises get stale. If I had my way I would let go of Ramona, Carole, and Sonja. I'm always on the fence with Bethenny; I liked her a lot her first 3 seasons and not at all her last 2. The Real HWs of any city has just about run it's course though.
  14. Does anyone else get a feminine vibe from Adam? His appearance, the way he talks, and moves around? Maybe it's more androgynous.
  15. What a clusterf**k of a finale. A bunch of screaming re-hash that we've already heard dozens of times. With exception to Eden's outburst, it was like someone left their finger on the repeat button; lame and dull. A completely unsatisfying season to say the least. The passive aggressiveness of Eileen just pisses me off.
  16. That was just strange. Erica is one strange bird . Eileen bringing up Erica's son did not warrant such a twisted reaction. I think Erika started to see red when Eileen said Dorit didn't have malicious intent and she crossed over into the twilight zone. I'm not a big fan of Eileen but I actually felt bad for her.
  17. Don't we all meet people who are super guarded and don't open up until they get to know you and trust you? I sometimes feel really uncomfortable around the super guarded types, but I actually feel more uncomfortable around eager beavers or the ones who try to forge a friendship too fast, which ends up having the opposite effect on me and I avoid them like the plague. Questioning someone like that, the way Dorit does, without the benefit of establishing a friendship is even more off-putting.
  18. She sure does want to get in the good graces of LVP again.
  19. I get what you're saying and we are not too far apart. What Kim said about HH was thrown out there because Kim is spiteful and she wanted to cast doubt on Harry to get Rinna's fire up. What Rinna's said, up until a year ago, about Kim was actually based in truth no matter how shitty it was of Lisa to talk about bc we know her motive has never been to "help Kim". My main point is this: if the roles were reversed and Kim could do to Rinna what Rinna has done to her I could kind of see her doing that because Kim is vindictive, but we'll never know because Kim is the one who got demoted and Rinna still has the show to use as a platform to pull this sort of thing against someone she very much dislikes. I will say that I think the difference between Kim and Rinna is Kim would stop talking about someone if she made a promise to. Brandi is aloof, she and Kim live in the same neighborhood and still maintain a casual friendship. Kim probably justifies what Brandi says and does due to Kim being in deep denial and as a way to protect herself from getting hurt.
  20. I don't think either Kim or Rinna apologized very sincerely 2 years ago (or was it 3?). And Kim rarely apologizes about anything, and doesn't take responsibility for a hell of a lot of shit she's done, her dog Kingsley comes to mind. Both Kim and Rinna are gross to me, however Rinna may have an edge when you factor in her daughters. Had Kim been part of the cast for the last 2 seasons she might have had plenty of shit to say about Rinna if Rinna was FOH and had a sibling on the show and Kim needed a storyline to stay relevant to avoid delving into her own personal life too much, but we'll never know. As Kyle has said, they're oil and water and the two just don't like each other. The only reason Kim was able to forgive Brandi and subsequently get on friendly terms that eventually led to a friendship is because of Brandi. Brandi was the one to apologize sincerely to Kim first. Brandi was the one to show true kindness to Kim. Brandi was also the one who initiated a relationship with Kim that went beyond being on a show together (maybe to antagonize Kyle, but she did forge a genuine friendship). I don't ever remember Kim apologizing to Brandi sincerely. Brandi has a lot of bad qualities, but her ability to turn around the bad blood between her and Kim was mainly due to her and not Kim.
  21. I think somewhere in the thread it was said or implied that rinna has been supporting or advocating for this charity for 25 years. I think harry mentioned the 25 years as having known /been with lisa that long. I'd be surprised but impressed if she actually has been supporting that charity for that long.
  22. I would venture to guess that Kyle does employ Kim as some sort of consultant for her tv show to help keep her afloat.
  23. Ugh. I stopped reading halfway through that pile of horse chit and clicked off. Eileen is boring as fluck and has no storyline except to create spin and defend lying lips lisar.
