I dunno, I don't think it's hard to ignore the previews... my husband and I *always* just change the channel/turn off the TV as soon as the episode ends, and certainly as soon as we see any "next time on..." We do this with all shows. We don't ever watch previouslies either. (Except occasionally for the first episode of a new season, when maybe we actually need a little refresher.) I'm not against speculation - that's part of the fun. But basing speculation on an actual preview showing things happening in the next episode is really spoiler territory. In fact, the very first post in the thread from the mods specifically requests that discussions regarding previews be put in spoiler tags.

I seem to recall that her because her marriage to Tyrion was never consummated, it was null and void, thus the reason she could be wed to Ramsay in the first place. I don't think that now that she's Ramsay's "widow", that she automatically reverts back to Tyrion's wife awaiting consummation. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong (and I often am).

Someone really needs to make an animated gif with the Jon/Ramsay and Ralphie/Farkus beatdowns side by side. Now that you've said this, I can't unsee it in my head. :D Also, unrelated the actual episode itself, could all of you who like to talk about next week's episode previews *PLEASE* put it in spoiler tags? This is one of the only GoT forums I read because I know it's really for avoiding book spoilers, and I like to go into every episode completely blind... I know that previews tend to be misleading, but I just don't ever want to have any kind of advance knowledge whatsoever about an episode until I see it myself. Regarding the episode (though only in a cursory manner)... I'm not ashamed to say that I absolutely love Littlefinger as a character. Oh yes, he's absolutely a (as someone else put it in a previous thread) lying liar who lies, and can't be trusted ever. But I just love his clever, calculating mind. You just can't tell what Baelish's end game *really* is, and I think that's awesome. He probably deserves to die, but I would miss him on my screen. :( Finally, I think this episode broke the record for "most smirks in a single episode". There was absolutely no shortage of smirking going on throughout Westeros and Essos. Well, there wasn't any smirking from Jon, but I don't think he knows how to smirk. But that's okay, because Littlefinger picked up his slack in the six seconds he was onscreen.

Okay, I've read all four pages of this thread, so apologies if I missed it, but I can't believe no one has mentioned the best line of the entire episode: "You're shit at dying." It seems a lot of people here don't much like the Hound, but I'm finding his return really interesting and entertaining. :D

I'm not so sure about this. Wasn't there a scene at some point (a few seasons back, maybe) where someone said that the wildlings burn their dead to prevent them from being raised by the white walkers? This is only a vague recollection of mine, so it's entirely possible I'm misremembering.

This reminds me of something that's really been bugging me... she is always referred to on the show as Cersei Lannister. By everyone. Shouldn't she still be Cersei Baratheon (even if she doesn't like it)? Or do widows get to take their former name back? Also, ITA with everyone who knew Karsi was a goner as soon as she told her kids she'd see them soon. My husband and I looked at each other and I said, "Oh, she's *so* dead." He nodded and said, "Yeah, never say stuff like that..."

I think Tywin just knows how long winded Pycelle can be, and he was anxious to get on with the sentencing-his-son-to-death part of the program. I mean, did you see how quickly he was on his feet the moment Oberyn died? I did chuckle though... it made me think of the Academy Awards, when they bring up the music to cut off long winded acceptance speeches. ;)
