    S28:E05: Week 5

I’m looking forward to seeing Jess leave paradise as soon as she doesn’t have a rose to give out and none of the sweaty bachelor-rejects have to feign interest in this whiny child while waiting for someone hotter they already clocked on instagram to arrive.

Um, is that the same Jess who ‘stole’ Joey away twice on the first night in spite of the fact that numerous women hadn’t spoken to him yet? Sorry- at this point he already knows who he is interested in. Jess sweetie- it isn’t you.

I'm pretty sure that on BiP they'll only care if she's on the hot side of hot.

  6. Maybe the maple leaf had boobs?
  7. Production blew their entire budget on “Break My Soul”.
  8. https://19thnews.org/2024/01/real-housewives-salt-lake-city-speech-congressman-robert-garcia/ A ‘Real Housewives’ speech was quoted word-for-word at a congressional hearing Rep. Robert Garcia of California quoted Heather Gay of ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.’ He sees the power in connecting politics and pop culture.
  9. While anxiously awaiting new episodes I’ve been catching up on old episodes on Vice. This show could also double as a show about regrettable facial hair without any editing.
  10. I was pleasantly surprised by Q- her sewing skills are phenomenal, and her talent literally had me laughing out loud. I also adored Mirage- she seemed like an absolute doll in her talking heads. I think she might fly under the radar for a while and do quite well. Dawn and Sapphira were also at the top for me. Amanda will either be gone very soon or stick around for a while because Ru sometimes likes a messy queen who can make her laugh. Xunami Muse is completely underwhelming. Did she forget that the show had started filming with her opening look? Morphine. Yikes. Well, I guess she likes herself enough for the two of us. If she's going to proclaim herself the body queen of the season she should start wearing flattering costumes.
  11. And to think- Monica had a bathtub and Meredith didn’t. You know this was a good episode when I’m also watching The Curious Case of Natalia Grace and Michael Barnett wasn’t the most insane and over the top thing I watched tonight.
  12. Right, but wouldn't presenting her at her actual age make more sense in that scenario?
  13. All I want to know is why the Barnetts adopted Natalia in the first place, and to what end was the purpose of the re-aging scheme? I'm assuming I'll watch hours upon hours of this series and still not get any answer, but just become angrier and angrier about Michael's histrionics and the cruelty of this (former) couple. But I will watch...
  14. I was starting to think I was the only person who watched this! I didn't think it was particularly well done, but feel very comfortable with saying it's a cult.
  15. At a party, on tv, to someone you barely know that hasn't asked for your advice or your opinion, to curry favor with someone else who is trying to belittle someone by claiming they don't have a medical condition?
  16. I like Justine. There. I said it. She's had a few misses, but everything she has made has (apparently) been delicious. I don't think her accent is fake. I'm from Brooklyn, NY, and I've noticed that people's accents change/get thicker when they are tired/anxious/talking a lot. Javier was this year's contestant that you love and think could/should win, but makes one (or two or three) dumb mistakes and gets sent home before bakers that should be gone before they are. Sigh. I do not think that Justine is a shoo-in to win. Kevin has been very good and steady, and they really seem to like Thoa (I have found her to be very unsteady). Sherrod is delightful, but his bakes always seem to be missing *one* thing- either he has a time issue, or he overreaches. I thought Ashley should have gone home weeks ago, so she'll probably win the whole thing.
  17. Guess I’m the lone chestnut lover in the group. They can be delicious when they are fresh. Maybe you’ve only tried really dry ones? One of my families absolute favorite Thanksgiving sides that I make is roasted Brussels sprouts with chestnuts and maple syrup. So good! I’m enjoying this season so far. It’s the first time in a while that I don’t feel like I know who will be top 3 already.
  18. I would have been very upset if Justine was sent home. She had one bad day vs. Jennifer having yet to have a good day. Also, I didn't like the fact that the bakers had to cook their pies in the same pan because it really limited their baking times/options. These are not the sort of skills one needs in everyday life to be a successful baker.
  19. My only take away from this episode is that none of these women wash the fruit they put on their endless charcuterie boards. Oh, I guess I had one other take away- these women all suck. But mostly the unwashed fruit.
  20. Disordered eating. She was not nearly this thin in her earlier seasons. While I do think that Sutton was completely ridiculous and overreacting, I viewed at as first she was disappointed that she wasn’t chosen because SHE WORE PANTS, but then when she saw just how raunchy it was she was disgusted. The Chipendales of yore was not that full-on. Kyle is straight up mean. Girl needs a cookie.
