  1. Kelly needs to STEP AWAY from the contouring makeup (example below). And she's doing the Bethenny combover in this ep . She does too much to her face, and IMO it makes her look as old as her hubby.
  2. Aviva is a horrible, horrible woman with a personality disorder.
  3. Ashley was awful to Josh. Poor kid didn't have a chance surrounded by that mother and that older sister. I wonder how his relationship with Sophie is nowadays-- it has to be tough since Sophie was allowed on the gravy train. That may have pulled the two of them apart, which is so so sad, cause Josh truly loved her.
  4. Oh. My. God. Vicki is using this "charity" for two reasons- (1) to rehab her image, and (2) to sell "cancer insurance." And she literally calls it that-- "cancer insurance." UNBELIEVABLE. There are no depths to which this narcissistic, awful woman will not sink. I do hope Meghan King Edmonds gets on this one, but I think she already decided on the pregnancy storyline, so she may not want to let Vicki's new scam steal focus from that. But man, Vicki has found a new depth of awfulness and desperation. Sad that she's dragging Michael with her.
  5. For those who are as obsessed as I am, here's the NYT wedding announcement for Bethenny's new bf's (Dennis Shields) marriage to Bethenny's high school pal (Jill Schwartzberg): http://www.nytimes.com/1990/08/26/style/dennis-shields-weds-jill-schwartzberg.html
  6. And the boobs! My god, those boobs. I hate to say it, but they're downright comical, all swollen and high on her chest. I feel bad for Ramona, though. Getting ditched by her husband like that, even if we all could see it coming. She's desperate and her looks are showing it.
  7. It's true that her notary license was issued in Pennsylvania rather than New York. That doesn't mean Bethenny was "defrauded" (which is the question the quoted post was responding to). For there to be civil fraud, the person defrauded must have relied on the incorrect fact. Was Bethenny focused on Jason's mother's notary license state of issuance when she decided whether to form the trust? Of course not. There was no fraud, just a technical mistake with the notarizing. (I will add this snark-- it didn't stop Bethenny's lawyers from inaccurately claiming the court of appeal had found there was fraud.) http://www.people.com/article/real-housewives-new-york-city-bethenny-frankel-pay-less-jason-hoppy
  8. You are correct-- in fact, Jason was the one who received the email with Beam's final offer on the SKM purchase.
  9. I think it *mainly* has to do with the dispute over ownership of the Tribeca place. If I understand the contentions correctly, Bethenny claims she is the only legitimate title holder (reducing any allocation Jason might receive), and Jason claims they are both beneficiaries of the trust that holds title (which would increase his potential share of the condo's value). It's a factually complex issue, and I believe there's been an appeal to boot. When the parties cannot settle, and there are complicated issues, the litigation can drag ooooon and ooooon. The alimony Jason was receiving was temporary, was awarded by the trial court because their prenuptual did not address the issue of temporary alimony, and then the court of appeal said no, Jason is not entitled to temporary alimony based on the same prenuptual agreement. That gives you a sense of how everyone can look at the same facts and come to different conclusions. And why, in cases with emotional clients with the money to fuel lots of lawyering and litigation, the process can take a long time.
  10. Yeah, it's amazing how quickly that Shervin bubble got deflated! Who knew he was such an immature turnoff. I mean, you have to have a REALLY unattractive personality to overwhelm that combination of handsome looks and money.
  11. Oh honey. You CANNOT comment until you watch BGM and BEA! All three seasons! Go, start now and come back when you're done. I want to hear what you think. Because I've watched them-- more than once! (yes, I lack pride!)-- and I disagree with you. I think Bethenny landing the man and getting the baby was ABSOLUTELY why she was so popular there for a hot minute. Her popularity peaked right before Ellen decided to give her her own show, and then started to fall first when she both proved unwatchably anxious as a host, and more so after she got the divorce. But it's not fair for me to comment yet, because it's going to take you a while to catch up. Don't worry, I'll be waiting!
  12. I totally think Botox could explain the improvement in her jaw. She had crazy wide jaw syndrome, and on this board lo these many years, there's been speculation it was bulimia-related. WHATEVER THE CAUSE, though, I can see how it was possibly bulging muscle that has been partly disabled by Botox and then atrophied over time. I also think she's put fillers in there (maybe) to smooth out the concave parts of the sides of her face. I do not think the bump in her jaw was bone only, nor that she needed or had jaw-shaving to reduce it. I do think she's put MUCHO DINERO into her face, and she's gotten REALLY good, subtle work done. Whenever I see that kind of work, I think-- that's what a lot of money looks like!
  13. I have the same scar. Got it when I was 11-- I was ice skating, trying a move (a camel spin), belly-flopped and split my chin open. Still have the scar-- and it pulls my skin tight right there, which is annoying! But yeah, not from a chin implant or a facelift.
  14. Looks like Sonja's clothing website is not being kept current. No new pieces have been added since it started, it's been on perpetual 50% off sale, and if you scroll down, the website announces a "holiday sale" on jewelry. http://www.sonjamorgannewyork.com/
  15. You can't make one of the cast members a producer, and also have a rule that no one can talk about the fact that she's a producer. Everyone's grubbing for Bethenny's attention, but they can't say why.
  16. No--Luann and Sonja were contract holdouts. So the season started filming before Luann and Sonja had actually signed on for the season. Looks like production filmed scenes with Luann and Sonja (post-contract) which are being spliced into the season. Thus, the scenes with Luann and Sonja actually took place quite a bit later than the other scenes into which they're spliced, but that's the magic of TV, folks!
  17. It was much more satisfying to watch Bethenny, the scrappy underdog, speaking truth to power. Now that she's in power, her "truthy" moments just come off as bitter attacks.
  18. I think Bethenny likes to be "frank" and gets jokey and inappropriate when doing so-- and the stakes were high this time, because the question-askers weren't kidding around. She should be more conscientious for sure. But I feel they knew how she is, and they were slightly using her to create publicity for an important issue. Alternatively, they were raising a serious issue to someone who prefers to remain flippant, and Bethenny got caught not being thoughtful enough. And that is a flaw of hers. But come on, she's not evil. She's messed up, she's addicted to fame, and she hasn't gotten good therapy. Okay. I feel bad for her, cause she seems desperate and unhappy.
  19. I think she and Marcus Lemonis showed up at a party together, and that was about it. I never got the sense it turned into a relationship.
  20. Phew. The producers did Scheana a favor this season by saving her most awful moments for the Secrets Revealed episode. What a self-involved, delusional idiot.
  21. How is it that Bethenny's Skinnygirl company is in competition with the "Kardashians and the Kennedys, for god's sakes" as she said to her employees?
  22. I'm glad RHONY is back! It's my favorite of all the RHs. Sad to see Bethenny getting more brittle as she ages. Her lack of appropriate intense therapy shows itself as she gets older. I still enjoy the kookiness that is Ramona. Dorinda is fun, savvy, and a little wounded on the inside. I enjoy Carole a lot. I miss Heather. Jules is a single-term cast member in the making. Luann is a heavy smoker- never realized that (she doesn't smoke on camera but you sure hear it in her voice). Sonja... oh Sonja! She would annoy the hell out of me as a friend, but she brings the sparkle on camera. What's sad is the ultimate point of these shows seems to be to criticize women. (Or more accurately, that's become the point since Andy took over the RH shows which was approx RHOC Season 4 time frame.) It's like the women get paid to play this queen-of-the-hill social darwinism game while simultaneously subjecting themselves to ridicule.
  23. I wish Kristen would spit on James! That would be closure. Good, karmic closure.
