  1. http://thefutoncritic.com/listings/20220721fox06/ Season finale is on Wednesday August 10th.
  2. I think that the press release is saying that this is the episode before the series finale. So an August 10 finale?
  3. The finals have usually featured 4 contestants. At this stage of the competition there is 8. If the pre- taped shows continue to eliminate 2 a week then, taking into account that they are skipping this week, after July 20th there will be 4 remaining. I am going to make an educated guess and predict that there will be a live finale on July 27. That will either be a single episode or the results will be announced on August 3rd.
  4. He was probably referring to the people magazines “source” being anonymous, not the contestant since he respected her privacy too. He could have just said the name of the her out loud or shown the screenshot of the message with her name on it. Also couple of dance show alumni that he has worked with “ liked” his post including Cat Deeley. They understand how those shows work so believe his explanation.
  5. Morrison admitted in his official statement with US that he broke production protocol which is why he is leaving the show. He also apologised to all involved. https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/matthew-morrison-exits-so-you-think-you-can-dance/ People magazines article headline a few days later was ” Matthew Morrison fired from SYTYCD for “flirty” messages that made a contestant “uncomfortable” https://people.com/tv/matthew-morrison-fired-from-sytycd-flirty-messages-with-contestant-source/?amp=true If the message that he read out on instagram was truly the only message he sent as claimed then he wasn’t being flirty and people was defamatory. I don’t think that he made that video to argue that he shouldn’t be fired since he already admitted wrong doing to US. He wanted to clear his name as being a sexual predator which People clearly asserted in their headline. His wife’s social media was being spammed with messages to divorce him and his is a bad influence on their kids, that’s vile and he deserves the right to defend him self from it.
  6. About the fact that he sent the message after midnight- What time where they filming until that day? It’s very common for tv shows to film into the early morning hours. He could very well have sent the message on set between camera set ups. The timing doesn’t have to mean it was a booty call lol. Also he responded because the media was claiming that he was “ flirting” in his texts. Even if you want to ascribe ulterior motives, the message itself , the only message he claimed , was clean.
  7. None of that is sexual harassment, which is what People magazine claims is what he was fired for and went viral, and is a terrible thing for mainstream media to put out there if not true.
  8. But the message going around social media are claims that he was blatantly flirtly and engaging in sexual harassment. On face value that DM is clearly not either. It does break no contact rules in a competition context but I think it wrong to #metoo him purely on the basis of the banal content of that message.
  9. The academy is duty bound to protect the health and safety of its employees. On Sunday, one of their employees Chris Rock was assaulted on company grounds. My local McDonald’s has given life time bans to customers for less violent conduct than what Will Smith did. Its disingenuous to compare the academy’s policy towards the likes of Cosby to this situation. This is not about the academy as an awards body making a moral opinion about a certain persons character and using that to influence their decision to reward them on their work, this is about a company who just had an assault and battery committed on their site on an employee and deciding the best punishment.
  10. Ah, New Years Eve 2020. I remember it well. The hope, optimism, excitement. It was going to be a great year… Alex and Mitch: A couple of people alluded to Alex having skeletons in her closet regarding Mitch. But I though that her speech at the end of last season covered it enough and that apparently made her a feminists darling so I am not sure what else is there to uncover. Bradley. I don’t understand her sense of betrayal. It is a credit to her that UBA want to keep her to anchor the morning show and move the new guy over. They see her as the face of the show and are relying on her to cause less disruption for the viewers. I am glad that the show is back.
  11. When I look back at my classmates in middle school I can name several who where sexually active and where completely mentally ready to. One time I went to a 13th birthday party of a friend at her house. Another guest the same age as us, aggressively flirted with the hosts older brother. They asked us to distract his mother while they went up to his bed room for half an hour. I have zero regrets of I the role I played. Both of them knew what they where doing even if they where legally underage.
  12. Well strictly in a biological sense human beings have evolved to start reproducing from puberty. The adolescent mind is wried to handle normal, consensual sexual relationships. It’s only quite recently, relatively, that we culturally have disapproved of that for teenagers under 14-18 depending on your country/state. But there is a reason why we also start formal sex ed around 11 in schools and parents give the birds and the bees talk before that.
  13. No. Correct terminology use matter. Objectivity standards matter. Grooming has a precise meaning in law and someone can’t just make accusations of it based on behaviour that doesn't meet the criteria for that crime. That’s not justice.
  14. For a split second I though that that picture of Masterson was Hannibal Lecter! A single simple pleasure due to this pandemic.
  15. Matthew Morrison has never been a Jim Carrey type of comedian though so I don’t think that he will have the same take on the Grinch. In the clips out there he is more angry and menacing.
  16. Airs on Wednesday December 9th I honestly have no idea how to feel about this but, it’s happening! Promo link
  17. Disagree. The movie was about showing how the actions of those women was a prelude to where we are now concerning abuse in the workplace. The believe women movement is about changing the cultural habit of not putting the blame of sexual harassment on who it deserves to go, the abuser, but on the victim. Saying that right wing women who work at a right wing news channel ” created” the circumstances under which they where harassed isn’t very different from scolding rape victims who dressed inappropriately. The movie clearly depicted Roger as the one in the wrong and that’s appropriate. Carlson and Kelly and the other accusers did change the cultural at FOX, they outed the pervert CEO and Bill o Reilly and eventually others. Now they both are doing the press rounds on talk shows talking about the wider #metoo movement speaking very much like liberal feminists, it’s weird watching them after being used to their Fox News era talking points.
  18. Those people didn’t go up the ranks in today’s social media climate. It has the power to kill an artist’s involvement in projects anytime after initial announcement. Blake Jenner isn’t established enough for producers to weather any controversial out and he is still relatively young and his potential fan base have zero tolerance for problematic people
  19. Poor Melissa. It’s horrible that she had to go through that. She did mention that Blake would get jealous of her dancing with another man at work. Glee is the most likely job she is referring too.
  20. Normally, adding a new actor in the final episode of the season and making them the protagonist of it shouldn’t work but adult Bobby in this totally did. He provided closure to the plot point of Mr Jingles begrudgingly leaving him as a baby to keep him safe. Also using an AHS alum means the audience is already accustomed to seeing him in the show. While I was disappointed at not seeing the final big festival that they have been building up towards we at least got to see Kajagoogoo in the last episode perform their one hit. Too many innocent people have died already at that camp so I am glad that Margaret didn’t get to have another victory. This season has made me more comfortable with the fact that Matthew Morrison has an Emmy nomination for lead actor in a Comedy. His delivery of Trevors deadpan humor was very good. I loved that he complemented Bruce’s “ bitchin stache” before kicking him beyond the camp boundaries.
  21. So the “ casting” of a CGI James Dean brings up some interesting implications. If it’s success, up and coming actors may soon not only have to complete with living names for Plum roles but with legends who died decades ago. CGI creations have been the headliners of movies for ages. I mean no one went to see Jurassic Park for the humans ( as good as they where), but this is different. CGI up until now was about making the impossible possible on screen. You can’t get a real dinosaur to be in your movie but you can cast one of thousands of 20 something trained and talented actors to play this role they want CGI James dean for. It seems Unnecessary.
  22. The scene with the “ baseball boy” will haunt me for a while. It was an important plot point and I admire the boldness of not hold back on showing the violence like most horror films involving kid victims do. But man it was hard to watch!
  23. Trevor: First base never felt so good Chet: You only kissed ? Trevor: Of course not Chet: That’s what first base means Trevor: Maybe to you
