  1. I found JLC to be extremely obnoxious with her constant interrupting and the excessive creepy touching. Ruined the show for me which is shame when an absolute class act like Rowan Atkinson is also on.
  2. So does that prize money get split in two? Will there be enough for Angstrom to get ALL her family out and for grumpy guy... to just be grumpy? Wouldn't mind a throwaway reference to their happy ending, especially if they stuck together afterwards.
  3. Manon's dishes weren't always edible. Wasn't it her who the made the pretty-looking but inedible showstopper cake in one episode, and previously had served another showstopper cake with the plastic collar still around it?
  4. Can someone remind me why Zelena was jealous of EQ and Rumple? Were Zelena and Rumple and item? I watch on and off and these details escape me
  5. I don't know if it's normal but I really wish they would stop trying to make Manny/ Lily a thing. It's just weird.
  6. Why is Alex going to prom at all? I thought she and Sanjay (sp?) were rocky when he gave a used suitcase. Who is this Ruben guy?
  7. The flashback scene had Brandon sparring with Ned, not Benjen as I thought at first. I wonder if there is any real significance to Benjen's disappearance because it does keep getting mentioned - especially lately - at seemingly random points. I am also hoping that the Bran's warging ability will shed more light on the Lyanna - Rhaegar abduction and Aerys' meltdown. We only have second hand accounts of this from a bunch of other characters but it would be interesting if the story went backwards as well as forwards, especially in King's Landing where the history is obviously so rich and still impacting current storylines.
  8. I thought Myrcella died when the Viper's wife poisoned her. Am I missing something?
  9. So is Morgan going to become a stay at home dad? Because if he doesn't want to put his family in danger essentially any law enforcment related job is out of reach for him. What other jobs are available to an ex-BAU? Savannah is a doctor (surgeon?) so maybe that could work financially but I could see Morgan getting a bit restless in that situation.
  10. Mitch and Cam killed it! Mitchell's "when I tell this story, she sings happy birthday" had me snorting into my coffee. And Cam and Lily were the perfect balance of sweet father/daughter and inappropriate humour. The confederate soldier crush had me in stitches and Lily's flirting was so good it was scary. I didn't quite get what the deal was with the over-sharing Canadian mom though. So so glad we left Hayley's love mess behind this week.
  11. In a way I would like a Haley gets preggers storyline because it would continue to mirror Claire and Phil's story. But ugh, it's going down a very sleazy path of booty calls and cheating and I'm not sure this endgame fits the tone of the show at all. Plus wedding showdown will be the corniest most predictable thing ever. I did like Haley and Alex interacting though. Nice character development on that score for sure. Speaking of Alex, it seems like they don't know what the hell to do with her and they're forcing her in the show using this underage guy she's suppusedly dating. If she could have been talking about some college crush with Haley at least that would root her life in college instead of finding imaginative yet highly unrealistic ways of doing it.
  12. Got a good laugh at Phil shouting "freeze" and Mitch dodging out of the way. Modern Family does this kind of physical awkward comedy really well - another time that pops to mind is the abandoned theatre with Haley, Alex and Phil. Not really caring about Haley and Andy hooking up. There's bound to be more drama with the wedding and I am not looking forward to that. I like the idea that they're very similar to Clare and Phil though. Clare - your outfit did something for me. Well done.
  13. This episode was the best we've had all season. The Doctor and his compaion relate to each other in a way that is human. They have a real conversation which goes a long way to explain the Doctor's hysterical concern with "keeping Clara safe". I thought that bit about how Clara's anger and never-giving-up would eventually haunt him was very good writing. Twelve and Clara never really talk these things out so it was good to see them have that private, serious moment. They seem to be setting up Clara's exit quite nicely. I hope that she exits into a normal life, safe and sound, for the Doctor's sake. It feels like all of the companions have had a rough and bumpy exit. Except Martha. It would be nice to have a smoother transition this time. Perhaps this will continue on to a storyline where we FINALLY explore how the Doctor's really feeling about getting that cycle upgrade. Judging by this episode I'd say he's not ungrateful for more "stories" but he's facing another 1000years(?) of loving and losing. I would definitely tune in to watch him wrestle with that. I love seeing old footage too, particularly of Pompeii because that was one of my Ten favourites. I liked seeing the Doctor realise why he chose his face, though the fact that the Doctor could actually chose his own face had slipped my mind until this episode. Maisie Williams was a very good addition to the temp-cast. On the other hand, the part where they had her do angelic face and the sadface while the camera was going round had me groaning - it felt tagged on and obvious. But the rest of the time she was extremely believable in her role as storyteller. I wonder that a GoT/DW crossover would look like. If it turns out that the Doctor was at the Battle of Blackwater Bay I am going to lose my shit. ETA: Is Clara going to mourn or even mention Pink at all this season? Have I missed that scene?
  14. I thought the replacement was for Jennifer Love Hewitt's character who left because of that whole ordeal with her adopted neice / pregnancy. JJ will be coming back, though that might not be a good thing. She was bad enough as Saint JJ-Mother with one kid, god knows how they'll write her with two kids.
  15. On the Edith vs Mary score I've always come down on Edith's side. Mary is unnecessarily snarky to Edith, many times to the point of being cruel - the time when Gregson died sticks out in my mind as one of the most egregious examples. I totally get why Edith wants Mary out of her personal life as much as possible. But if the driving force of these episodes is going to be 'Will Mary find out?' or 'How will Mary react?' I am going to be a very bored viewer indeed. The trouble is that it feels like nothing is at stake anymore. The hospital? The drive towards progress seems inevitable. And how many times have we had the 'servant thinks he is losing his job' plotline? Do not get me started on the Thomas love interest(??) or the latest in The Bates Tragedy Show. Nothing seems to be on the line for anyone. The biggest nail biter is actually where Carson and Mrs. Hughes are holding their wedding.
