Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 June 2, 2024 Paramount+ A series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop in the city, and a drug war rages inside and outside prison walls. The pressure is on Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) to end the war but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor’s attempts to keep the peace among all factions.

It was earlier this year but I don't remember exactly when.

You have shown remarkable patience! I no longer "want" to watch, but I'm limping along to the finish. All the characters are awful now, the writing is terrible, and the acting is stilted.

I'll defend Tiffany a little. Was it very likely that enough people would target her at this juncture to make playing her idol worth it? There was, with the information she had available, not much reason to think that she might get a plurality of votes. We know that Kenzie set in motion a possible blindside of her. But Tiffany did not have not much reason to think that Kenzie would vote her at this point. Q might have reason to vote her, but he also has reason to keep her (such as to make amends and to win her and other potential jury votes over) Other than Big Move Fever, nothing suggests anyone but Maria has any beef with her. By contrast: Q had begged to be voted off last time and was annoying everyone by staying. So it seemed likely he was going to get some votes. Hunter is a challenge beast who at any time could go on an immunity run and at the very least would reduce the chances of others getting immunities. So it would make sense to try to get him out now while the getting was good. Venus had already gotten some votes in the past and might have been drawn some in this one. The probability of her idol being flushed if she played it versus it actually saving her like it's far better odds of it being flushed. Whereas I would put odds in Hunter's case like 50-50. And even if it is flushed, he has a pretty good chance of winning a future immunity. Whereas nothing we've yet seen from Tiff if I'm not mistaken suggests she is likely to even be in the top 2 of an immunity challenge.

‘Equalizer’ Renewed for Season 5 at CBS

This season is truly hilarious and chaotic. It's not only nice to see some fun being interjected instead of boring ass predictable weeks, it's fun to see this cast almost certainly HATE each other. When's the last time we had no solid alliances beyond Charlie/Maria and the cast going after each other in such an egoistical way? All of them trying to claim moves that might not be theirs, them trying to take control from other egos, players making bad mistakes because they can't predict what's going on? It's fun to watch, something we haven't seen in a long time. There's no true dominant alliance. The closest we have right now is Charlie/Maria, that's it. For me, it's fun to not really root for anyone and watch their bad gameplay spiral. Even the good players can't wrap their heads around the bad gameplay, so it makes for a fun season for me. I fully get why others will be annoyed with this season. I just like having nobody to truly root for and getting to watch mess and chaos reign. Q shoved Venus out of the 0 vote finalist spot quite quickly. Venus definitely has a better shot to win now than Q. But Q's issue is if he can actually GET to the end or if others will simply want him gone for continuously derailing the game. His inability to play the game and pissing people off is hilarious. Venus still sucks at the game, she also pisses people off but not to the extent Q has. She does have good perception of the game, she just has no ability to connect with people socially so she has no way of making a move without using an advantage of some kind. Liz getting mad about Q was hilarious, but I do think she has a point. Q derailed the next couple of days with his antics. The immediate discussions and even next Tribal became about Q, not Tevin's blindside. Liz did make that move, so I don't blame her for being upset. But she needs to realize that she needs that to be under the radar, so she can bring it up at FTC if she can get there. Hunter not playing his idol was ridiculous. He clearly knew something was up, was paranoid to mention his idol to make a move, and questioned people at Tribal. He should have played it. That was a massive blunder on his end. Tiffany messed up too, but she didn't toss out the playing her idol threat so last minute, so she had more time to gauge the situation AND they all knew she had it. Jeff's really matched the energy this season. It's weird, I gotta admit.

The jury breakdown could be 4 Nami-2 Siga-2 Yanu (if Liz is in the final 3) or 5 Nami-1 Siga-2 Yanu (if Liz is on the jury). I think that could be the scenario where Kenzie wins unanimously. She gets all Nami, Ben, and her former Yanus. I was back and forth as to whether Ben would like vote for Charlie, who he’s seemed close to, or Kenzie, but since Maria acts like she doesn’t want Ben in her and Charlie’s alliance (from a secret scene) maybe he’s turned off by them and just respects Kenzie more. Especially after that scene where he had a panic attack. And like I said above, Maria and Charlie may just cancel each other out. But I could actually see a case where Maria doesn’t vote for Charlie if she’s on the jury, and that’s if he takes credit for moves she believes are hers or doesn’t act like they were equal allies. In addition, maybe he votes her off at the F5 and she’s just bitter lol. But I think it might be the former, she just doesn’t respect his game in the end.

Am I supposed to "side hug" my kid so people don't think I'm perving on my own children? Or is the kid supposed to be embarrassed by parental affection? Because the kid in the commercial does not look awkward. Can't people just hug their kids and not make something creepy out of it?

Priorities! Making the needs of the future cult congregation are priorities of the heathens and the godless. The two boys are being groomed for greatness anyway. They can take over the cult congregation of converting the young, hot and foreign into the cult. Ick and his member are the only priority that needs to be addressed. Dani who? Oh yeah the lady who will do for Ick in a pinch. And the newest child is a girl right? Sigh.

When did the new moderating team arrive? I was being so cautious toward the end...maybe I didn't notice. TWOP was not fun--not after you were suspended and/or received a warning. Primetimer has been wonderful, IMO.

agreed. the whole storylines are centering on Darlene making stupid decisions for her and Mark and Harris. Yay lets get Mark thru a 4 year college, but ignore poor Harris who seems dead-ended and headed towards a cr*ppy future. And now ADHD on top of the rest of the garbage. The show is slowly losing me wanting to watch it.

That's a pretty big change. My memories from reading avengers comics was that Tony was the serious business man and Hawkeye was the smartass with one liners. And even the Tony being a drunk thing I think only came around in the 70's. So it's hard to get mad about movies not being faithful to the comic book characters when later comic book writers don't even stay faithful.

I can't get into Elsbeth and only watched the first episode. I hate when you know who committed the murder and it's just a matter of the detective figuring it out. Plus Elsbeth really got on my nerves - she's beyond quirky.

I think the captain may think he's being ethical if he doesn't give into giving the donors by doing them any favors, but his suspicion about what they're doing and not being honest about it is a problem. He may think it's going to a good cause and not want the contributions to stop. So he thinks if he doesn't give in there's no issue, but if there is reason to think something shady is going on even if he's not giving into it he's somewhat complicit in it himself if he doesn't tell the department about his suspicions.

^ Especially since the deck crew have been noticeably not busy all season. There doesn't appear to be an anchor watch, they aren't putting out the slide or any water toys, there haven't been many excursion involving them. Most of the time, we get shots of them hanging out together in the crew mess or near the swim platform. Some are already off duty in their cabins sleeping during dinner service.

Cam is a fictional character. That being said, I hope we get a little more of her backstory. She mentioned spending time in the foster home; I'm assuming that's after she was adopted by the white police chief's family, but I don't know for sure. A bit of trivia, the actor who plays Raj (the uncle) is Anoop Desai, who also played the djinn on What We Do In The Shadows, and was a Top Ten finalist in America Idol circa 2009.

I wanted to like Jennifer Lewis but she seemed so much worse this time than last time. It was almost like she resorted to speaking/shouting instead of singing. The Seal isn't good either. Opening number... can they please please please stop having Ken and Jenny sing, or pretend to sing. They are not good. I've decided that I don't really care for Robin's singing either. Rita Ora, on the other hand, was amazing. Just let her do all the singing until Nicole comes back.

Not sure if this where to put this but I'm recuperating from an accident - leg fractures so I can't move much - and watching alot of daytime tv. Been watching alot of Perry Mason and Murder she Wrote on the Great American Family channel ( a channel I don't get at home). I swear every other commercial is about their Christmas movies - they actually have a countdown clock! - and how this will be the greatest season yet for their Christmas movies. If the commerical isn't about the Christmas movies it's about Candice Cameron Bure and her new mystery movies series coming soon.

I didn't actually notice Matty licking his fingers, but I did notice, twice, Tom running a finger thru the sauce on his plate and putting it in his mouth. Which I found kind of charming.

Maybe, but Cara herself is proof that you can be successful in the game without acting entitled. She has two wins to her name and got those wins without acting entitled.

I think this is a great idea. Introduce the dumplings and two main ingredients but not tell them there's going to be a culinary difference and hope everyone eats a different dumpling. It'd all fall apart if everyone accidentally eats the same dumpling. I know you don't care but since it's coming up a lot, he was hired as a chef consultant on The Bear, which is a very popular Hulu show about the workings of a restaurant. He then got asked to appear on camera but he didn't want to play a chef. If people haven't seen The Bear, it's a very intense show when it depicts the inner workings of a kitchen. There's a lot of screaming, yelling, activity, and, yes...chaos. That's why I don't think he was a replacement for someone else. It's pretty clear the challenge was created to thematically align with the tone of the show he's on. I don't understand some of the challenges they've had. I've seen some people blame the Wisconsin tourism board but I don't think that's it. There's no reason they couldn't have come up with a decent challenge for the chefs to serve at Taliesen which was absolutely a unique dining experience. And The Bear is filmed in Chicago so the chaos theme has nothing to do with location. Other challenges, like using cheese, cherries, and beer, should be no-brainers. They're as simple and straightforward as it gets on Top Chef and there's no reason for the lack of creativity. One thing I did like about this challenge is that, instead of shopping at Whole Foods, they had the choice to go to the Asian market or Latin market. I'd like more of that and things like shopping at the Farmer's market.

I'm assuming they're not, given that sad sack interview face Amber had. Run, Amber, run. Sure, she's probably annoying but he's verbally abusive. And they are now the team I want gone asap. Idk about other commenters, but I've found most of them pretty interesting. Not all of them, sure, but that's every Race for me. I'd like to think I'd have done okay with the welding since my dad occasionally welded things in his shop, but probably not. Sure, but he's so, so much worse. And far less good at those things than he thinks. He was also pretty good at the welding, and both he and Angie rocked the drum task. I have decent rhythm and would've probably been good with the drum task, but I'm not sure how my BFF would do. Although she did take tap dancing as a child, so maybe there's some rhythm still in there.

My best guess? Ben goes out 5th (he feels like a fifth place boot), Liz loses to Kenzie in firemaking (I think Maria could win F4 immunity and stupidly bring Charlie, given how much she's about loyalty), and then we have Kenzie winning. I've seen speculation that we could have our first unanimous winner. That could be interesting, but with Charlie in F3, he'd have to have a disastrous F3 performance or he would have to do nothing for the rest of the game. So, if it's not unanimous, I could see a 7-1-0 for Kenzie-Charlie-Maria. I strangely think Liz could get a vote if she was in F3, or her bemoaning about the Tevin move she made being overshadowed by Q is foreshadowing that she gets no credit at the end for what really IS her move. The other option is Maria goes out 5th (she tries to take credit for getting Tiffany out, she's seen as an immediate threat by Kenzie and taken out), Ben's the F4 firemaking loser, and it's Kenzie-Charlie-Liz. But if that's the case, it can't be unanimous because no way Maria DOESN'T vote for Charlie to win. It's really tough to gauge which way it's gonna go.
