  1. Past hour
  2. I’ll Venmo anybody here 27 cents if you can explain the fucking plot. Here’s my take: this whole series was a great argument for the patriarchy. Now: go! & watch the real thing: Rosemary’s Baby. Mia Farrow’s terrific, and Oscar-winner Ruth Gordon is a creepy hoot. And the movie’s punchline (“He has his Father’s eyes”) is..a gut-punch. Let’s do this again next year!!🤣 Christ I need a drink.
  3. Maybe Pryce will get killed off in the finale.
  4. It was not a jigsaw puzzle. It was a puzzle that had tiles with perfectly straight sides. Which means you can't easily see where the corners of the puzzle are. Also you could have had the pieces in the wrong direction. Something that also doesn't happen with a jigsaw puzzle. Of course a lot of the teams made it much harder than it needed to be, but they were exhausted from the heat. It's probably not as easy as it seems from your comfy couch. I think that was very overblown. That was a bad season, but nobody in charge was afraid that that would lead to a cancellation. TAR had bad seasons before. It would need to have real low viewer numbers to get cancelled and that season didn't.
  5. I'm Free the Viewers from having to watch these two.
  6. Kaleena is as sour as Michelle is likeable! I hope Kaleena gets booted again. Preferably when there’s no now LCK so I don’t have love with the promise of her gone only to have her come back like a whack a mole. They cast for less drama these days so she stands out as being comparatively unpleasant. I like Rasika but am especially fond of Michelle so am very relieved she survived!
  7. I liked it, too. Although I wonder why d’arcy keeps bringing up that kiss.
  8. I was not a fan of the beginning of the season at all. There was way too much focus on the one tribe, and then there was the whole Bhanu. I was not one of the one million hearts he won. But now I'm kind of into it. It's become one hell of a mess, and I'm actually finding these people pretty entertaining in their messiness. Is it a great season for strategy? At this point, not so much. But like I said, I'm into it. Q and Liz can go next. I'm so glad Tiff didn't go home. That would not rock. Speaking of which, I can see how he might be polarizing (I already saw a post of someone who isn't a fan), but I actually found Ben kind of endearing during the challenge when he was cheering everyone on. I wonder if anyone will think to break up Charlie and Maria anytime soon. Using his joke, it looks like Hunter did become the hunted.
  9. Premiere date: April 25, 2024
  10. Ohh, that confused me. So, the original Harry killed the town doctor.
  11. I wonder if it’s hard now because of some of the contracts the others have with the Food Network! I’m surprised they got Stephanie and Marcel. I wonder if the more permanent players on FN like Eric, Brooke, Antonia, Michael V would be out of bounds.
  12. I don't know if I'm FREE AMBER or FREE VINCENT. But they both need to be freed and far away from each other. They're both awful.
  13. That's just sand. Real flith you largely don't see. The ocean basically looks some shade of brown everywhere outside of some tropical islands. You should see the water off europe's atlantic coast. Cameras on the car. We had that in the previous covid seasons as well, when they were in two-seater cars. Btw. I'm pretty sure this is a fakeout. They seem to have caught "their mistake" (looked like the crews mistake to me) right away and probably doubled back and got them.
  14. I’ve had people get downright rude with me, when I hadn’t intended to offend anyone, or they twisted something I said. That happened a couple of times, years ago. I’ve had my feelings hurt a lot, at times. When it happened the first time, it was four months after I’d been in the hospital, when I was suicidal, and I was still very delicate. I got out of jury duty for that reason, too, the same month. If I disagree with someone, it doesn’t mean that I hate them. I have strong social anxiety, so I’ve taken it that way before, but I try not to. it’s easier for me to not take offense, when I think someone is insulting me, in a way that would hurt them. My sister used to do that.
  15. Friday night shows needs be very successful for a Friday show. S.W.A.T keeps coming back from the dead. I don't even think it's a CBS show. I think it's a Sony production. SHMT was in house, but still didn't have the ratings to survive another season. Blue Bloods is finally coming to an end after however many seasons.
  16. It's a television though. Your general audience doesn't know what happened in the book or history. You're not making a show for the people who know that. And I actually know that. They didn't stick the landing. In the real history that we do know, the Tokagawa Shogonate lasted quite a long time. You'd think the show might indicate that in some way. Toranaga wasn't just the guy who won this time around. They buried the lede on how total this victory was.
  17. Possibly. I didn't really understand much of anything in the episode. It seemed like a Mad Libs-style finale where the writers had a vague idea of what they wanted, then just filled in the blanks with random words picked out of a hat. That's how we ended up with a double incest monster baby.
  18. Hunter, Hunter, Hunter… dude, you could’ve PWNED that TC if you’d just kept your big mouth shut - but instead you violated one of the cardinal Survivor rules: the moment your possession of an idol becomes public knowledge, you burn that bitch ASAFP. But, no; Hunter falls prey to a galloping case of just-one-more-TC-itis, and now he’s a card-carrying member of the incredibly exclusive Pocket Idol Posse. C’est la vie!
  19. More Marcel? When I said it's a testament to how cool this little show is that his episode was the least annoying he's ever been, I didn't mean bring him back! But, I must admit, he was fine again. It's just their conversations are less interesting than the ones Kristen has with cheftestants she knows. I appreciate hearing her say she's still trying to properly understand what "chaos cooking" is meant to mean, because I feel the same way. Like she said, she thought Dan's winning dish was just a wonderfully creative dish, it's not something she looks at and thinks "This is chaos cooking". I don't like cream cheese, so I probably wouldn't like the frosting Marcel made (I would taste it, though, because of what he put in it), but I'm sure I would have liked the cake itself. Which looked like a quiche to me, especially before it baked, so I was glad to hear Kristen say it eats like a cross between a quiche and a cake. I'm looking forward to Amar again next week, but I wish they'd been able to get more people to participate.
  20. She and most of this family are the very definition of willful ignorance. The men in the family are all brawn and very little substance in terms of art and culture. Their understanding of history is limited to the Civil War. Science is tainted with "Biblical" principles. The women seem to think it is cute to be ignorant. It helps them land a man. Only Michaela seems to have any interest in learning more about anything other than skincare, cosmetics, etc. I was wrong. He couldn't pronounce arugula. Kelly was saying in a "fancy restaurant" chicken salad came with lettuce and tomato. But they just ate it on sandwiches. She then says Zach got the fancy lettuce. He commented earlier that he might like to put dill in the chicken salad. She also thought she was doing a commercial for Duke's Mayonaise. I'm southern, but I honestly don't get the whole mayo loyalty thing. Another interesting note, Gil and Kelly talked about not having a television or letting the kids watch television. However, in this video Zach notes that he bought and is using Grey Poupon because they (? - is he referencing his parents or his whole family) liked the commercials when he was younger. I just always am amused when they end up telling on themselves.
  21. Uh keeping beat is my horror scenario. I'm good at it as long as I don't think about it, but as soon as I do it suddenly becomes impossible. So I think I would have done the show. While singing in spanish, a language I don't speak, doesn't sound appealing either, everything there seemed pretty doable. But that probably would have been the wrong decision. The drums seemed much faster. Cesar might speak spanish, but he can't sing at all. That was pretty painfull. Ricky on the other hand was really not bad. Amber is horrible at directions, but won't admit it. That's the problem here, not that they are both strong willed individuals. Love that Angie and Danny came so close to number one. Still don't think they have any chance of winning. As soon as Angie has to do roadblocks again, it's going to be pain for them. It was pretty obvious the firefighters would lose, considering how long they were searching for the plaza. We never saw them with any other team afterwards. But the editors did a nice job trying to obscure that fact.
  22. From mythopedia.com: Centaurs were originally all male. Female Centaurs, or “Centaurides,” were probably introduced no earlier than the fifth century BCE, and even then, they were regarded as novelties.[12] Female Centaurs did sometimes appear in later art and literature: Ovid, for instance, tells of a female Centaur named Hylonome, whom he may or may not have invented.[13]
  23. That made no sense to me. She appeared to have bruises on her face and a bit of a black eye, I kept expecting her husband to show up. I don't understand the Matthew situation, either. I know he wasn't a businessman like his father, and the tenement buildings were an issue, but the family obviously had personal wealth. And he managed to lose everything, just like that? To the extent that they need to live on Trixie's salary?
  24. That's so disingenuous that you had to know it wasn't true when you typed it. She's been a white girl with blonde hair since 1959. That's not even the point & you knowingly, disingenuously, gaslighted the point. Hi, tell me you know nothing about Supergirl without telling me you know nothing about Supergirl. Kara Zor-El is always portrayed as optimistic, fun-loving, loves using her powers. She came to Earth at age 17, fully powered, totally different from Clark. Her exuberance, her optimism, is central to her personality. If you think The Flash portrayed Supergirl correctly, you are just... wrong.
  25. Well, Hunter did it to himself. He knew votes were coming his way, and that Q was getting votes. Play your idol and Q goes home. It would have been better if he hadn't told anyone he had an idol in the first place. Can we have everyone compete in an INDIVIDUAL immunity challenge please? Enough of groups in the individual stage of the game. Complete nonsense. I'm so happy that Venus made it through yet another tribal council. No votes came her way tonight. Keep going, Venus.
