  1. Past hour
  2. It isn’t a great picture of her. I saw some others that were better.
  3. I need to know why there are so many boxes/shipped items in Sandoval and Ariana’s house. Amazon/retail therapy? Companies soliciting endorsements? Their house looked much tidier before Scandoval.
  4. 3 new books of adventures with the 15th Doctor and Ruby coming soon. Hard copy and audiobook only for now https://www.doctorwho.tv/news-and-features/coming-soon-three-original-fifteenth-doctor-novels
  5. How tall is Charles? He must be reallllllly short if Dr Now says 100 lbs is a good weight for him???
  6. BSB is having a Meet & Greet Cash & Carry in May. I wonder what the turn out will be? Also, I'm pretty impressed with little Layla, she seems to be very invested in her dance classes.
  7. She was a fellow, so I assume her position wasn’t funded by the district. Kind of like being a temp made permanent - as a temp you’re employed and paid by the temp agency, not the place where you go to work. Once made permanent you’re employed by the place where you go to work, so you’d get all the employer’s benefits, perks, etc.
  8. Restaurant Wars is always done when they get down to 8 chefs, so we’ll find out in a few weeks. I’d be surprised if RW doesn’t happen, it’s so iconic. Based on this episode, it would indicate RW could be a more of a shit show than usual.
  9. Making 8 seasons of big budget show in over a decade is not being quickly bored of it. I think the part of fan base is entitled and unreasonable.
  10. It's early. The house is quiet. I'm enjoying my coffee and watching the very pink sunrise. Sometimes life is just so good! 😸
  11. I am so annoyed with teams sharing answers and colluding to block other teams out. It ruins the spirit of the race. There needs to be a rule that limits how much you can bail out another team. I was sooooo hoping the alliance were so lost before the meat challenge they’d be scrambling to avoid elimination. Hopefully this will happen sooner than later and those racers who have been relying on the kindness of other teams to carry them forward will be eliminated. Bah. Not cool, TAR. Does Danny seriously believe that when it comes down to a foot race that Rod or Vinnie are going to wait and hold hands and jump on the mat together all kumbaya? I don’t include the two all women team in this. Theirs was a temporary alliance to put some distance between them and the mega alliance. Too bad it didn’t work.
  12. I watched the 2nd part of the reunion and the only two that I, while I may not like them, I didn't dislike them, are Michael and Chloe. They are the only two who stayed out of the mess, which I understand since they weren't married on the first day and didn't spend time together with the other couples from the honeymoon forward. As far as the others, all I can think of are toxic friendships I was involved in in the past. The best thing would be to end the friendships - not that I think they would been friends if it wasn't for the show. Finally, Emily needs serious therapy. Watching her made me feel very uncomfortable. I knew Brennan checked out early, but watching Emily last night made me realize why he did and I understand why he did.
  13. I'm not impressed either. The dishes aren't very imaginative and they keep making very basic mistakes. Like, Charly seems cool and I love spicy caribbean food so if he had leaned into Haitian it would have been great, Tom even said that. But cooking fish 30 minutes before it is to be served? I received my culinary training from Betty Crocker and even I know not to do that. And as I was watching I actually exclaimed, "How do you screw up beef tenderloin?!" That's like butter meat. I'm sorry but if you can't cook that well then you are just not a very good cook. I wanted to see Laura go home for her ridiculously exorbitant dessert, but her dish wasn't the worst, and elimination is based on whose dish is the worst. I wish they took cost into consideration -- tres leches cake is a fairly cheap dessert to make, and the fact that hers was soggy and overly sweet and the cocktail didn't go with it meant she wasted that budget. Selfish, selfish, selfish. And she was in denial even after judges' table. She kept being like, it wasn't that much! And the others were just shaking their heads.
  14. In a confessional Q stated that he was going to change the way Survivor is played. No, Q, we have always had hissy fits, over-inflated egos, and quitters (well, maybe quitting just started with Osten, but it's still been around for quite a while). I guess his willingness to sit out for rice was for the betterment of the tribe, NOT because he knew he would be out in less than 20 seconds. I would never use him as my realtor as he would know more about the house I would want than I would know... I think Q's dramatics at tribal were to throw the vote into a disarry and allow him to take control again. However, what happened was not the chaos that he intended but rather demonstrated that he really wasn't in charge and that the others were playing their own games and not his game. I also think he will try to spin this to show how 'great' he is at this game and that everyone should do as he wants. But it will be too little too late. As all of these egos battle for dominance I think we are going to start seeing who the real power/strategist in the game is. I did enjoy some of the lighter moments of the episode. I liked the hide and seek game as they all seemed to have fun (but, of course, Q had to self-congratulate about gaining insights from it). I think the rice bribe failed due to many reasons-lack of trust, wanting to participate, feeling in danger of being voted out etc. But, I also think that they get so many rewards that nobody is really starving (if they have challenges every 2 days and most of the challenges have a reward attached, then most of the survivors have a good chance of eating on a semi-consistent schedule).
  15. A few years ago I was looking for shoelaces. I had been up and down all the aisles in the shoe department but could not find them. There was a manager standing there talking to two employees and I apologized and said, I know I'm just walking past them, but where are the shoelaces? One of the employees just pointed and said, over there. The manager looked at him, turned to me, and said, let me show you where they are. They were on the end of an aisle, and yes, I was missing them. I thanked the manager and always wondered if he said anything to the employee who told me they were "over there."
  16. I could see having what they call a sprinkle. Get some girly things after having two boys. And have it be immediate family, not a huge production number in a venue. Just be at home.
  17. Today
  18. And be on tv some more. Celebrity Family Feud was probably more his idea than hers.
  19. OJ Simpson ran a ring of all-cash business deals to hide proceeds from victims’ families
  20. WHERE'D Emily even come from with the Clare defense???? Kev asked her final word & said nothing about her statement!!! 🤨 Is she hearing things?!!
  21. I got the feeling that he never planned to go to Texas and was playing the show.
  22. I don’t understand Gizelles position on the show. In the first season or two I don’t remember her being so unlikable but she hasn’t been fun to watch in a long time. Her fake reunion with Jamal should have been the end of her.
  23. Another pounder who knew better than Dr. Now despite not being able to do anything for himself. Also some blanks to fill in about the brother. The sister said early on that everyone in the family had used drugs. Did that include the brother? Something seemed off with him despite the fact that he was nice and caring with his brother. The trip to Texas with no appointment was risky and I’m surprised that brother and sister thought that was a good idea. Charles refusal to go to Texas when he had nothing going on in that apartment was a shame.
  24. I mean, look at what they did to the Inca and the Aztecs. That was their MO and they were fairly restrained in Japan because that civilization was not as technologically disadvantaged as expected. >>So why has Mariko been anguished all her life about the death of her family Imho, it had as much to do with pride and loss of status as with grief, perceived injustice etc. I mean, the whole previous episode was about accepting or hating fate... As for the traditional Japanese religion, I hope we'll hear someone with more knowledge explain, but I think it was more like Shintoism, not big on the after life, more a pantheistic thing. (I'm sure my grasp is lacking.) I do think there must be more cognitive dissonance than for the average Catholic or Christian, trying to reconcile the two cultures.
  25. I agree about Jack misrepresenting any version of an AA sponsor. Doesn't he still drink alcohol? Technically he's not even sober. I think if he'd thrown in a reference to attending AA meetings BEFORE Nikki's relapse, collapse, or prolapse, his sponsorship might be more credible. I am wondering if EB is sicker than we think or planning to retire? In that scenario, Jack Abbott would be the only man in GC worthy of squiring the great Nikki Newman. I also.wondered if IRL the mother of the actor formerly playing Harrison might have pulled him from the show, knowing the kidnapping card was about to be played? I can't remember how involved he was in portraying his bio mom Tara disappearing with the Feds, or the death of his faux father Ashton Locke.
  26. I had forgotten just how much I hate these characters, and all it took was the first five minutes or so to remind me. The show didn't even pretend like Book might not be around anymore. I think he was back before the first commercial break. Same ears. Yup, La'k, Moll and Captain Rayner are my favorite characters so far this season, Kovich is okay but he lost some stature when he was bested by the almighty Michael in the final scene. All it did was remind the audience that we're not watching a serious show with serious characters. This episode could have been based on a video game. Heck, most of it looked like a video game. Oh, you're just trying to give me a reason to keep watching this "shit sundae." I had a different word in mind, but it rhymes with first. The Q could wipe up the Founders with a paper towel, unless of course Michael Burnham conquered the Continuum in the off-season. Could have happened. Because she's obnoxious and talking like a valley girl in the 32nd century. In both the final season of Picard and now in Discovery we are introduced to abrasive alpha-male captains (Captain Shaw and Captain Rayner) who apparently want nothing to do with the sanitized, homogenized, vanilla culture of the future. They're personality-driven cowboys, self-righteous, egotistical and convinced of their own infallibility. They would have been Kirk's drinking buddies. That's why we like them, because they vividly capture what this series and NuTrek in general desperately and sorely lack -- human beings. Nah, she's thinking, "I wonder if this Picard guy ever heard of me."
  27. I actually saw this as a good move from Charlie. The undercurrent was "look, Q is losing his mind at this tribal council, and you can't trust him. What about a common sense alliance of you, me, Maria, and Kenzie?"
