  1. Past hour
  2. If that’s true then Tori is just a horrible person. I remember an episode where Tori talked about girls can be so mean, obviously she forgot to include herself. As much as Amy is a mess , literally and figuratively, I hope she gets to spend more time with Lilah maybe Lilah will have someone there to show her she’s celebrated too. Now that Matt and Caryn are “evil” 🙄 and don’t get to see Lilah much, I wonder how much Lilah gets to hear words of encouragement.
  3. I've been to Guatape, and it is just as gorgeous as it looked in this episode. And yes, it does go from beautiful sunny day to torrential downpour in the blink of an eye. El Penon has 740 stairs (I did have to look that up just now, and it's funny - different sites show different numbers of stairs). I'm middle age and carrying a lot more extra weight than I should, and I managed it just fine. Of course, I was taking it slow, resting every few landings. The nice part is that they have the stairs numbered - every 10 or 20 or something like that. So you know how much farther you have to go. The top point is a viewing platform (man made). Just below that is the top of the rock, and there are vendors there. A great place to have a snack and just look out at the world. I do wonder how Sean's fear of heights kicked in at walking down a stone step slope, but he didn't freak out at going up or down El Penon. Maybe the handrail is all he needs to convince himself he isn't going to plummet to his death. It seems Michelle has had to talk him through his fear of heights before, and knows how to manage it. I give Danny a lot of credit for being so patient with his mother, but damn if she wasn't finding the slowest approach to doing those coffee beans! I'm adding weights and measures to things I'd learn before going on TAR. First, know lb to kg conversion, but also have some sort of comparison system - my shoe weighs 1 lb, a gallon of milk weighs 3 lbs (I'm just making these up), etc., so you have some idea when asked to get 4 kilo of oranges in the market. While I don't mind the use of the Amazing Charter Plane, I hate the release bunching. I really want to know why they won't release teams in the time slots in which they arrived at the mat, and why they create these bunches at designated time intervals. I can understand not wanting to deal with stragglers, but they could cap releases at a maximum time block. So, for example, anyone who arrived at the mat more than 2 hours after the first team gets released in one final group.
  4. 4,226 steps yesterday. I didn't do much in garage yesterday, just couldn't push myself any more. Instead I started my Taxes...UGH! My knees and hands are really feeling the pain from all this building. I keep meaning to make an appointment for the hand surgeries, each hand done separately, but there always seems to be something holding me back. Either the Winter snow shoveling or now the construction. I have to get this done as I can barely hold on to anything and opening jars, etc is really hard/painful. Soon I hope. One slim strip of wall board is left and all the walls will be up. The the dividing wall will be dealt with. Looks so different in there. Will take another pix when last of walls done.
  5. If Kody and Robyn had even a modicum of sense between them, they would simply disappear from this show because like @Meow Mix said, whatever they do is going to be lose-lose. And I don't think that I would ever want to hear from them again, knowing how deeply they have hurt and manipulated Kody's non-Robyn kids over the years. I have to think that whatever is in the can already for this season will be it for the show. I don't even necessarily need to see "Christine and Janelle: Sister Wives No More!" or whatever we were potentially going to get. Everyone can just move on, shill more MLM stuff and see how it goes. Of course, I also think that Kody and Robyn heavily depend on the show's income, which could sway their decision to keep filming. But the very last thing any of us need to see ever again is Robyn crying, whether or not those tears are real or pretend. She simply cannot. No one believed her then, we sure aren't going to believe her now.
  6. So, they've basically turned this into America's Next Top Model for dance. I don't hate the idea, but I do miss the original format.
  7. Artist Richard Serra has died, age 85. https://www.npr.org/sections/pictureshow/2024/03/28/1241281531/photos-remembering-richard-serra-a-world-renowned-poet-of-metals https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/26/style/richard-serra-sculptor-death/index.html https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/27/arts/design/richard-serra-death-appraisal.html
  8. Brandon was in the 2008 Teen Tournament, apparently, so it's not surprising that people don't remember him as a Jeopardy! contestant. As mentioned, he's become much more prominent since then, with big success on both Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and University Challenge. He's now a Chaser on both the American and Australian versions of The Chase. BTW, if you're not familiar with University Challenge, look up some episodes on YouTube some time. It's way harder than Jeopardy! could ever hope to be.
  9. From what I am getting from the hatamoto and Lady Fuji it seems the consort might not be married but the society gives great weight to that arrangement.
  10. Disclaimer: I earned a degree in psychology in 1978 but never used it so I am by no means a professional. But imo they are making way too much of this OCD. They should bring him back home and get a get a good therapist. I have been praying for some kind of wrongful termination lawsuit. TBH I can't see one here because of their guilt feelings. I've been hoping for a sexual harassment one.
  11. Meh. First of all, Kristen, so, who knows. Secondly, I think I'm still going to be show me the proof on Jo. To be honest, I run a bit with time = loyalty in friendships. I'm not sure that Jo - despite whatever weird-ass and possibly coked-out group message she sent - is required as a friend of Schwartz's to be concerned about Sandoval cheating on Ariana. She could have chilled on the try-hard with the messages, but getting involved third-hand in someone else's messiness seems too far. Maybe she's awful, but all I've seen is weirdness so far, which to me isn't the same thing.
  12. Tori probably resents Lilah because Lilah isn't that regular size baby girl she was hoping for.

  14. I don’t know why they are sticking out to me, but I am just not getting a feel for Amber and Vinny. Are they supposed to be dating?

  16. Why are they always so mean when talking about Lilah? Who calls a little 3-4 year old learning to dance clueless and clunky? If that were Jackson they call him MAGNIFICENT and say he OWNED the dance studio. They seem so mean when they talk abou Lilah sometimes, it’s very sad to hear. I just read the summaries so I hope it didn’t sound as bad as it read. Zach I can write off as to being clueless, he doesn’t even know you’re suppose to feed party guests, but Tori seems resentful of Lilah and I think it’s awful 😔
  17. RETROSPECS https://www.elysiantheater.com/shows/retrospecs0421
  18. Finally some progress with the Trixie and Matthew story, I hope everything will get better for them. Why bring in four new midwife’s but only focus on two? Maybe the other two will get some airtime next season. I liked the two newbies though. This was a good season, I’ll probably rewatch.
  19. Great episode. In my opinion the best of the season.
  20. Lady Ochiba holds tremendous power in this age and culture as the woman who gave the Taiko an heir. Admittedly, there is a lot of nuance missing in the miniseries vs the book, and we miss out on not hearing the internal monologues of characters and some of the history of the society, but I think this has been made clear. If you disagree with this key point, then yes, nothing else will make sense. Ishido would not risk acting alone and potentially losing the support of the other Regents. His big army is not just his - it is an amalgamation of his vassals and the other Regents who support him because of who he is and what he stands for - ensuring the heir becomes Taiko. Ishido and Ochiba are very anti-Christian. He would immediately lose support from the Christian daimyos should he move forward with a blunt show of force. The fact that he is following her direction is a combination of strategies on his part.
  21. This was my least favorite episode. Violets event turns into a disaster. May almost drowns, gets sick, and the Turners almost lose custody. Trixie and Matthew continue to implode. Clueless Trixie doesn’t notice Matthew is anxious and depressed. Matthew needs to grow a pair and tell Trixie about the money problems and quit shopping. The young mom, Lindy finds out both of her daughters have eye cancer. The best part was Lindy and Melvin (name?) decided to grow up, get married and be there for each other and their daughters.
  22. I also think it is a way of keeping her the "baby". I get having a changing table with the grandkids however.
  23. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is where Know Your Value began.
  24. I actually resented that I had to rewatch so much Bhanu in the 'previouslies.' So glad that the other tribes weren't shocked that he was the one voted out. I think the producers waaaaay overestimated his appeal. Hopefully they will get the message that Bhanu is not winning a million hearts. Oh, and I hope Sia shares my opinion as I don't want him to be rewarded in any way... Okay, I think I might grumble my way through this whole post, but...it irks me every time they reference the 'new era.' All it does is remind me of the original, better recipe Survivor (remember the failure of 'New Coke'? 'New Era' brings the sad predictor of failure to me). Q references quitting (then takes it back) and it's only day 10 or 11? That would be a drop in the bucket in the 39 day Survivor, yet here it's almost halfway through. Four immunity loses? Again, a drop in the bucket. Tribe of 3? Sounds good to Stephanie or Bobby. Oh, and challenges that didn't end in puzzles or tossing sandbags...Stop making me miss the 'old era' superior Survivor. I was glad Jem was voted out. I don't appreciate needless manipulation and her glee at making her teammates dig/search for 3 dyas wasn't entertaining to me. So happy to see other players whose names aren't Bhanu. Liking Ben, Maria, and Moriah from Siga. Would like to get to know the players better on Namu.
