OUAT vs. Other Fairy Tales: Compare & Contrast

I don't know if "Game of Thrones" quality has declined over the years, but I guess a good series finale or final season is where the Writers are able to recognize some of the problems and to bring back the best aspects of the show from its early days. A&E weren't able to do that at all in Season 6. We didn't get to see Emma and Mary Margaret bonding again, which was a big appeal of the first half of the first season, at least. They even doubled down on the spotlight on The Evil Queen and giving Rumple the love that he didn't deserve. Nothing in "The Final Battle" was remotely satisfying.

    Kardashians in the Media

You know what I find interesting about this whole lawyer business? Whether we think it is ridiculous or not, it is another Kardashian setting themselves up for life after the show. Kendall has a modeling and fashion careerm Kylie has her makeup business. Kourtney has a lifestyle brand through Poosh. Kim now has her interest in legal work and prison reform. And yes, all of those things can fade but they can open pathways to other careers. The Kardashians are no dummies. The ratings are on the decline, the original sisters are getting older, and they are still 13 years away from those initial playboy discussions for the next generation so...they will need something else kn the meantime. Each has started to branch in different direction. I bet in the next few years we hear about the show cancelling and the sisters pursuing different interests which can all trace back to where they each are now. That just leaves Khloe and her Instagram musings lol.

The Duggalos: Jinger and the Holy Goalie

Jinger looks like she had the obligatory boob job in preparation for LA. Or she’s newly pregnant.

    Les Misérables (2018)

Yeah, in the musical, he sings "I look to you to sort this out and be as patient as you can..." Kind of funny to expect the foreman of a factory in that time to be nice and fair. He of all people should know better. But I guess it was just a shortcut to show how saintly he's become. I vaguely remember that in the book, Fantine was fired but ValJean wasn't involved in that scene at all. But don't quote me on that.

I'm bummed Colin is leaving. Maybe the character will get a chance at the Mayo job again. I hope he he gets on another series, soon.

    RHoBH in the Media

All of the self-crowned Queen Bees - Nene, LVP, Bethenny, Vicki, etc. - have a few things in common: thinking they are more important than the others; expecting special treatment, including that others should defer to them; using/manipulating others; an inability to take responsibility for their behavior; and resorting to pathetic displays of poor-me syndrome when all else fails. So many reunion shows turn into shitfests because of Queen Bee victimhood. We just saw it with Nene - don’t need to see it yet again.

    In The Dark

I had a blind girlfriend who did origami. I didn't find the crowns implausible. Not sure how they attached the parts, though. Did they have glue or a stapler or tape in there?

Shopping Channel Hosts: Sales Prevention Team

Yes, it was Pollack; it was a show late in the evening and she was acting strangely, to the point where people were speculating she was drunk. If I recall, they took her off air in the middle of the show.

S02.E13: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow

Agree about 'bottle' but would go even farther and say it was a suburban Connecticut episode. That is, nothing to do with space, or space exploration. Virtually nothing out the window, again! Could have occurred at your future nana's condo complex. That they tacked on a bit of Kaylon chase suggests even these soap opera writers must have noticed gee maybe we should give lip service to sci-fi, and not just be The Many Loves of Dobie MacFarlane.

    S11 E23: Reunion Part 3

This is probably unpopular but I'd like to say goodbye to Nene and hello to Kim Z! I'm so tired of nene and I really enjoy Kim on Tardy!

    "The View": Week of 4/22/2019

Anyone notice how MM's laughter about SNL was so different than her usual stupid girlish giggles? Seemed strange to me because I have never really heard her laugh.

I may have felt uncomfortable because I see Arya as a kid but she did deserve to feel and live like a human being and not a cold assassin. Also, OMG Sophie!

    S17.E14: Disney Night - 2019.04.21

I'll join you on that island! I see nothing new or exciting in Laine. I think his whole aw shucks I'm a hunka hunka burnin love schtick is all he's got going on for him. Will probably win out of this group of forgettables but will be forgotten himself in no time.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

From The Scotsman: Another huge runaway for James--ho hum. I did get Rocky Mountain High and Kaspar Hauser. FJ was an instaget. Trying to get the Parthenon Marbles (we refuse to call them the Elgin Marbles since Elgin didn't create them) back has been a Greek cause for years.

I don't think a mutual decision to not renew a contract or not reaching agreeable renewal terms would mean an employee has to leave immediately. I'm sure each situation is different. And think of the drama and nostalgia purchasing that could happen dragging out a retirement.

    "The View": Week of 4/22/2019

I loved Joy ribbing Sunny today about being left out of the SNL parody: "I'm a former prosecutor... the chickens... the jealousy of her husband... I'll write it for them!" and prodding her with a huge grin on her face. Those two like each other, which is nice to see. I finally watched the parody. I was expecting to cringe as I tend to find SNL one of the most unfunny things on television, but it was actually not too bad. I got a kick out of Whoopi spraying everyone with water at the end and finishing with them being "five best friends with nothing in common." I just think The View has provided so much material for comedians to really get cutting with, and they always err on the side of being nicer. Where I live comedians would be brutal and the women of The View would have to put up with it. But "Princess of Arizona" was pretty funny and accurate. Also, agree with Joy: Fred Armisen was better. Joy has a very good sense of humour about herself. As I've said countless times before, not a great fan of Whoopi, but if she has to be there, her attitude today is my preferred: calmer, more thoughtful, not getting so worked up. She sounded to be a bit under the weather to me too.
