  1. Past hour
  2. I'm just watching for the first time now and I just find LaLa to be predatory. Everything is always about sex with her. Katie is supposed to be her bestie but she's talking that way to Schwartz smh. Secondly she is definitely dressing as she acts, which is trashy. I like Jo so far,but she does seem to be a addict or have a mental disorder. James is scared of Ally. Ally acts like she is annoyed by him. James must like women like his mama. Very rough around the edges.
  3. Ugh. That 20 seconds was better than my entire year so far. This show is on another level.
  4. I guess I'd just like to think a best seller wasn't this dumb. It's not even a kids book like Harry Potter or softcore porn like twilight (both were actually smarter than this). This is supposedly hard, intellectually stimulating scifi aimed at adults. At least that is what all of reddit has been shouting at me for years. Then I watch it and it's the most inane drivel I've ever seen in a scifi work... and I've seen Star Trek Discovery!
  5. Tbh, I've found the way this is made pretty boring. The whole two universe thing was obvious from the first episode, so the whole, slow, slow, dreamy, ponderous, slow drip, drip of the 'reveal' was incredibly dull. I found the Paul episode one of the better ones, as it moved through the plot of five episodes in one, so even though it was unnecessary and we learned nothing new, it was less boring. This had the potential to be a hell of a lot more interesting than it was but the way it's made means I keep drifting away from what's happening.
  6. Overbearing Sunny stole others' time with her "I know better" facts and rude confrontation. Unnecessary, unprofessional, and not a good look. Mr. Hughes was a guest on "our" show and I wanted to hear from him. The "I know Bernice," name-dropping was ineffectual showing off. I didn't know anything about the author...and I still don't. Although he probably didn't present any information he planned, I thought he did a good job of defense--against someone who was ticked off and loaded for bear.
  7. I’ve never watched this show before, but I saw this episode on a very large screen TV, and when she called him “Professor Snape,” I was able to clearly see on the large screen that he smiled slightly — which surprised me, because her tone was rude. However: I’ve only read a few pages of the first Harry Potter book, but skimming the Wikipedia commentary for Snape reveals calling someone by that name would also include a measure of respect and appreciation. But what I was really wondering: is the evil abuser who could not be killed by hypothermia or a knife in the eye gone for good now? Or will he be back to terrorize his gf (and the doc(s) who almost cut him up for parts) again? Likewise: Will the new Dad likely show up again? Or will only the fraudster pseudo-brother-in-law return?
  8. Today
  9. Nice start for Soo, but why wasn't he just thrown in the pool along with the others? Was his application delayed by a technicality that the producers decided to waive at the last minute? If he makes it to the main competition, people who don't watch LCK will question his presence and have no reason to invest in him. If he doesn't, then this whole exercise was pointless. It just seems so sketchy. That said, I didn't miss David either, ha!
  10. Hehe - dispatch - rich family's home was on go-eth...in English it's pronounced more like gurt-eh
  11. Sigh. Yet another couple of airheads who haven't done their homework and want to start a business in a tropical country already completely saturated with holistic "healers", spas, "life counselors" and yoga gurus. The realtor knows it's a doomed project but smiles and goes along for what is probably a very familiar ride - renting homes to half-baked dreamers.
  12. There was a throwaway line about the sarin gas having been diluted, and in this case the throwaway line literally should have been thrown away, because it was just a big “Huh?”
  13. I’m pretty sure Stephen used “allegedly” or “supposedly” so his jokes would not be lawsuit fodder, making his sincere apologies directed exclusively to Kate a bit of a diss to anyone else trying to cancel him over what mostly amounted to a joke about spelling one of those overly long (Welsh?) names.
  14. Yes, once the "Return of Eddie Maine" stuff ran its course, and what he knew about Nina's SEC tip became widely known, Ned went back in storage. As far as I can tell from a quick look through summaries, Ned has had one appearance since New Year's week: some ELQ-related squabbling with Michael in the January 17 episode. When he was last seen, Tracy was telling him that the new acrimony between Michael and Drew would only strengthen his (Ned's) position, and Ned looked pleased at that thought. I guess he then went offscreen to enjoy his stronger position. Since then, he's only been mentioned and discussed (e.g., "You let everyone believe Ned was responsible!").
  15. Given Jem's parting words about it "serving them right for voting her off", I was kind of happy she went home with an idol in her pocket. And it's not as dumb as going home with two idols in your pocket (hello there James!) or giving your idol to someone ala J.T. because a tribe of Heroes had the worst read in the world on the Villians tribe. What hurt a little bit with Jem is she actually did the unthinkable, in that she didn't tell anyone she had the idol (that we saw anyway) and did a pretty good job of retrieving it without being noticed, considering what she had to go through to figure out the equation. But she just seriously overestimated her girls + Charlie alliance and her own ability in playing the game. I feel sorry for her in that she wasn't fooling anyone and was actually making things more obvious than they needed to be. But yeah, I don't really consider it a dumb move anymore, but I think it can be satisfying if the person is super overconfident and then winds up taking the walk of shame. And I love a bitter exit!
  16. https://ew.com/house-of-villains-season-2-cast-contestants-revealed-exclusive-8620820 Richard Hatch will be among the cast members on E!'s second season of House of Villains.
  17. No mention of first eliminated hat guy.
  18. I wonder if the strategizing that we saw in the previews indicates who might be up for the vote next week. If it follows the same format as the new era, they will divide everyone into two tribes of 6, with one person being the odd one out and probably betting on a tribe to win and then they join that side if they do. Everyone can vote, but only the 6-7 would be eligible. So maybe a combo of Hunter/Q/Tiffany/Soda/Venus/Liz are on the losing end, or at least Soda and Venus since we see their names come up from Q. I don't know if it means either one of the girls actually goes, but maybe this is Q's time to exit.
  19. It's interesting...Is Tim a sexist because he suspected that there might be a girl's alliance forming, or was he right to suspect it? There clearly had been talk that we were shown about both the women on that tribe targeting a man, as well as the "Charlie's Angels" of an alliance of Charlie and the three women. In either case, Tim would be in the line of fire as one of either two or three targets. It seems that Tim thinks he is tight with Maria, and when the two of them are relating he doesn't strike me as trying to boss her around or being misogynistic. The saddest Tim-related thing this episode was that he got the title quote, which wasn't that exciting and came in a gross conversation. I am sure that there were plenty of better choices but none are coming to mind at the mo.
  20. I've never cared about hair continuity, but then I was never bothered by what people claimed were bad wigs on Arrow, but which never took me out of the story. Knight's father didn't seem too disturbed that she was deviating from The Plan. I half-expected the Far East job to be a test to show her that she was truly happy where she is now.
  21. The Lexi character would work better if she were in her early 20s, unmarried without children yet.
  22. Thus far, the men who've left so far are the ones who were rightly spoiled to leave pre-merge. Jelinsky, Randen, and Bhanu all left as said. It's the women whose departures have been off.
  23. I heard comedian Kathleen Madigan mention Lakefront Empire, since she and her parents have lake houses on Lake of the Ozarks, but that's as far as I got. There's no forum for it yet, so I checked to see if there's a pending request for one, and there isn't. If anyone watching that new series wants to request one in order to discuss, here's how to do it now that you no longer just create a thread.
