  1. Past hour
  2. So glad twins are gone, thay was really brainless switching how many times they did.
  3. This is pretty par for the course when it comes to 911's and it's season opener episodes, it helps to get watchers re-invested in the show after its long breaks
  4. Totally agree. Even the older kids are too young for that kind of responsibility and pressure. When I was looking at Bryson all dressed up while sitting in the theater, I could see exactly what he's going to look like when he's 40 or 50. He is taking everything seriously and he's probably the best one there. I won't be a bit surprised if he wins. I was glad the red team lost but disappointed that Remy didn't get sent home. She's really annoying. The small girl on the blue team needs to go too. Miles was probably the right choice but I felt a bit sorry for him because he was coping with everything with one hand and not whining about being disadvantaged. I liked him. I also like Alfred but he isn't going to last much longer. The Magic Castle looks like a gloomy tourist trap.
  5. This was a much better episode than last week in terms of tasks (e.g. collecting balloons - what even was that?). I love challenges involving food - as long as it's not the gross-out-binge-til-you-vomit ones of earlier TAR days gone by. However, after 36 seasons, I feel this batch of contestants make up the least competitive mix in the history of TAR - and it's not even close. The twins in particular seem to be overwhelmed by the mere suggestion that they have to actually do stuff on either of the detours. I’m mad at the double dutch team for almost making me think we would have to endure the not-knowing-who-Elizabeth-Taylor-is himbos for another week. Yvonne and Melissa completely disappeared this episode. What was their shtick again? Oh right, girlfriends. Cesar and hubby are adorable and are carrying most of the show on their shoulders. Cesar in particular is the star of this season. I also like the firefighters and grandparents. Shane is sexy and the pink girls are annoying. Vinnie is carrying his team. Next week's ep preview seems to indicate more of the same underwhelming-ness in terms of competency.
  6. Delusions of grandeur is a little harsh. I think a lot of folks who apply are just fans who want to participate in a season. They want to interact with Phil and get to travel around the world doing Amazing Race stuff for free -- and get some money for it (not necessarily winning it). I think each season there are always some slots reserved for "super fans". It keeps the fan base active with the hope of being a participant. This season there does seem to be more of these teams. Of course when asked, the racers will always say "I want to win" even though they aren't a competitive team.
  7. I didn't mind the brief scene of the I Hate Nina club. Even if I think the Nina hate is OTT, it was nice to see some characters who don't have story together interacting. And Alexis has every right to be happy. Nina was a terrible boss to her. But these kind of quick scenes make the fabric of the show stronger when everyone isn't siloed into their own stories. Joss is indeed a hypocrite regarding Dex and Jason. But it feels like a conscious choice by the writers to show that hypocracy. Not sure where they are going with her. She certainly didnt seem to be over Dex when they ran into each other yesterday. As soon as we got the extended shot of Dante's hand I knew he was waking up. Good. Now will Soap Opera Digest stop trying to get me to click on an article from when he left the show in 2018?
  8. 9-1-1 boss breaks down the deadly cruise ship disaster finale — and what didn't make the final cut Q: So now that Bobby and Athena are rescued, what can you tease about the rest of the season?
  9. Jo had the best response to the Nico storyline: "Who?"
  10. I thought I saw Caleb in one of the pictures towards the end of a row that was either in the same row as Gabe and Logan or one behind them. In one of the pictures that shows Christine there is a woman above her head holding a child, I thought that may have been Maddie. I saw someone on social media in a comment section that said Maddie addressed it on one of her, I am assuming, instagram lives. I think the comment mentioned her being next to or near Savannah or Ysabel. I cannot remember if it was last season or the season before, but I thought that either Gabe or Garrison said they missed Dayton. So I am more surprised that he did not show up for it.
  11. Super snappy judgements- The actress who played the wife of the dead guy was terrible - like high school drama class bad! Lucas was acting like a real douche canoe this episode. He deserved every bit of ass chewing he got in the locker room. And then to pack up and skulk off like a little bitch. Dude, grow a pair. Does the makeup and hair department hater Ellen Pompeo? Everyone else looks pretty good (especially the intern with the partially shaved head *chefs kiss*). Meredith looks like she hasn’t slept or showered in a couple of days.

    S07.E03: Capsized

So much fun. I loved pilot Tommy, and the whole Poseidon theme, and while I think they probably could have done it in two episodes, I do think that they wanted to switch networks with a bang and they did that.
  13. Love this new one from Take That. It's going to be a hit!

    Chopped 2024

After watching Tobias do well on TOC, I was surprised to see him go out first. I know that Chopped episodes are filmed long before they air. I'd be curious to learn how long before TOC this episode was filmed.
  15. There's a piece in there where I think Jac Schaeffer wanted some consequences for what Wanda did in Westview. No, she doesn't go to jail or prison (although pfft to that anyway since FATWS has Bucky and Sam gallivanting around Europe with Helmut Zemo), but she lost Vision (for the third time) and her kids, leaving her with nothing. There was no reason outside of it being a cheat that the two Visions couldn't have been melded into one, so even if the boys did disappear he'd have still been with her in some capacity, but that's not what Schaeffer wanted to do. The big mistake was in trying to retread that story, only with less care. It was still Wanda looking for something she'd lost, only this was not the same woman who responded with a warning to the man who'd just fired on her with an armed drone. A better writer (if not Schaeffer herself, then not Michael Waldron, who should never have been allowed near that script) would have been aware that this was ground that had already been walked, would have tried something different. Anything different. Someone did the math, and Kate and Yelena had a little over thirteen minutes of screen time together; the scene at Kate's apartment, then the fight before Yelena's confrontation with Clint. Those thirteen minutes have spawned over 2000 fanfics, and the number is still growing, so it's crazy that it's taken them this long to bring Kate back into the action, and that's just in an end credits scene. I'm sure they have a schedule or whatever, in addition to any other demands on the actor's time, but one of the MCU"s strengths has always been those interpersonal relations. Maybe the OG Avengers were never the best of friends, and yet those interactions are what makes/made the characters so human, even outside of their world-saving. That's a piece of what's missing now, that even if the universe is connected, the characters really aren't, and its noticeable.
  16. Can TV finally declare a moratorium on the meet-cute-but-pissed in a parking lot trope?
  17. Cargo ship hitting something and causing problems? Unfortunately too soon?
  18. I like that they’ve introduced some stuff that wasn’t in other versions, like the option to grab a pile of cash and be on your way, or the sinking the 7-ball for traitors, or the colorful cocktail thing. I am annoyed at peacock though. I always watch with cc’s, but in this episode, they completely covered the text where they described everybody’s age/job/etc. I don’t remember that being an issue on other episodes/versions of the show.
  19. I have done neither and I got stuck wondering how one narrates silently. My guess was 1984 as well. I knew "suit up" and 20 on the dartboard. ETA: I thought Monica was delightful and was rooting for her if Chuck couldn't win.
  20. @SweePea59...my current home was built on the "1946 after WW 11 model of beauty and sustainability" . We are exactly the same age. I value the pear/black walnut/3 kinds of apple trees/mulberries....The magnolia/ lilies of the valley/ hyacinths and other blooms that sometimes pop up out of nowhere are amazing. The pig pen [thankfully] is no more & the chicken house is now a tool shed. The kitchen garden I tried to keep up, but I lost my ongoing battle with the groundhogs and deer. Back in the day, I'm sure a well aimed shotgun blast took care of any whistlepigs, but current City regs frown on such measures. Venison is tasty, but I'd rather watch my resident deer eat my apples than harvest the deer. When I lived in Hialeah, there were mango & avocado trees in my back yard. My youngest daughter's first real food was avocado. Elderly next door neighbor had grapefruit the size of basketballs, lemons the size of grapefruit, trees full of little red bananas. After he passed, the first thing the new owners did was chop down ALL the trees. WTF ?? You are making me investigate whether lilacs are viable in Da'Burgh...I remember their sweet smell as I was growing up.

  22. Christine is very non-emotional and frozen, like she's traumatized. It's nice to see Greek food, though.
  23. Peacock US 2024-02-28
  24. I can't even remember the break up. Does anyone remember it and can you remind me of what happened?
