Getting to Genoa You All Over Again: Y&R Daily Chat

Summer was annoying but I understand how you can let worry and fear work you into a frenzy. I don’t have kids but if one of my pets went missing, I would be hysterical. -
We will see how they do in the ratings next week. I hope you are right and I’m wrong. I don’t have a lot of patience for Buck anymore. I like him but he’s so frustrating. I’m more an age where I would think of him as a son rather than a peer and if it was my child, I would wonder when he’s ever going to grow up. This could mature him. Hopefully it will be a positive outcome and the fan base who supports it is larger than those who will be disappointed (not at the gay/bi story but at the way the show is going). If someone watches for the rescues, it seems like they are focusing too much on relationships and less on the action. The cruise ship story was an exception.

My scenario for Summer vs Claire is that Summer feels intensely threatened by the appearance of a rival for the role of Favored Newman Grandchild (FNG) - Summer feels at a disadvantage because although Crown Prince Nicholas is her father, her mother, Phyllis (Summers/Romalotti/Abbott/Newman) Stark, is as welcome among the Newmans as rabies, while Claire is not only the daughter of Crown Princess Victoria, her father, Cole Howard, does not cause the Newmans to vomit on sight, -
I truly hope Jill and Derek stop having children.

The most recent moment that really stands out was seeing Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant with a very realistic looking judo based hand to hand fight against a large killer and being able to hold out long enough for back up to arrive.

I don't think her age really matters here. I mean Vern was helping Jack run the paper and he was up there in age back in the day. However Nicole has other options for stories that a career isn't really needed for her tbh.

I take that back. One main remote to turn tv on. Then another to switch sources, then one for the Firestick for Netflix and Prime tv. He is not technical, so leaves it up to me. Once one remote was in my purse. Oh, and pens and pads all over for grocery lists. Now, he is the Master of all grocery shopping, and I could care less. I am the banker tho, and the bills, but he is the main breadwinner. It all works out tho.

I believe that it's April and Doug's funeral won't air till December which is 8 months from now. -
One of the youtube channels I watch has Manukora honey as a sponsor, so I see them do ads for it fairly frequently. Their "most popular" raw honey starts at $80 for 8.82 ounces, or $64 if you subscribe for delivery every four weeks. The one labeled "best value" is $120, or $96 if you subscribe. I don't know how they determine the value. I think I first heard of manuka generally because it was on an offer in the Target app and I was curious. The brand they carry in store is Wedderspoon and is $20 for an 8.8-ounce jar. Which is still more than I'm willing to pay for honey.

The writers seem to be trying to cram as many plot points from the comics into this season as they can and lose all narrative pacing in the process. Even Professor X has only been "dead" for 5 episodes, before he showed up again. Usually you'd expect him to be dead for a season and then have a stinger of him being alive at the end of the final episode.

I seriously can’t stand TJ anymore. Between him whining about Kristina not eating right and not getting enough sleep or staying out late (when did he become her father or keeper?) and whining about Sonny when he LIVED with the man and Sonny put him through med school, he’s become intolerable to me. Just STFU already! If you’re not happy with Kristina being the surrogate, tell Molly you want out of the relationship. Then Kristina can just keep the kid that she’s going to want anyway and you’ll be free to go meet someone else and have babies with that woman. Or not.

That might actually be an interesting story.

Like.... "Oh! He is so smart! Sensible, too. I'm sure he is smart enough to get a high level, well paying job in no time, once he fixes that accidental tatoo on his face. He'll make a fine step-dad to those young children." Stuff like that.

Are we going to find out what Auntie Jordan did with Claire this week, or do we have to wait until next week? -
Well the Yankees may end on a high note here today. I give Eric Swanson a pass, his kid was hit by a car in Florida in spring training. The little boy is recovering but it was pretty serious. So Swanson has been through a lot.

My ravioli was Rao's Four-Cheese. They are pricey for a frozen dinner so I was extra pissed about that. Glad yours stayed on the plate.

This was one episode that I actually wrote down the recipes and instructions for - the chicken pot pie and the weeknight pasta bolognese. Still, writing them down is one thing, actually making them is another, since I don't cook much anymore.
