  1. Past hour
  2. CThat was a great episode. Did not see Hetty's death coming at all. Although I recognized her dress so knew her death was coming. But suicide? Did not see that.
  3. Oh goody, another jury person that’s a scumbag groupie. Hey, Maddy’s mom: maybe the reason why your husband is on edge is because you treated him like shit and nearly drove him to suicide because you blamed him for Maddy’s kidnapping? But sure, you’re still the victim.
  4. It's Gary Lewis and the Playboys - Jerry Lewis was his father - and I'm old enough to have seen them on the old Ed Sullivan show.
  5. Pretty fun episode and the byplay about the ghost rules was entertaining. People called it that It was a basement ghost, specifically Ralph, who got sucked off instead of Flower
  6. I can understand not favoring one actor over another but they should have won for writing.
  7. I didn't expect Ari to get a nomination submission from the network she's suing.
  8. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah, they were NOT playing around with that content warning. Holy SHIT. That was....dark as hell. When Hetty showed her neck... Damn. And then the realization that she did all this to try and protect Thomas...and we all know what became of him. Oh, Hetty. That ending talk with her and Sam and Isaac was so beautiful and touching and heartbreaking, though. I love how incredibly supportive and empathetic Sam and Isaac were, and I love Flower coming in to thank her for taking such a big risk to help save her as well. Such a good, emotional scene. But wow. Yeah. This gives us a whole new and intriguing and heartbreaking insight into why Hetty is the way she is. On a much lighter note, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, Flower's back! SO good to have her with the group again. I loved eveyrone scrambling when it hit them that she was saying she was in a well, and I loved their frantic efforts to try and get her out. The bit with them attempting to face time Sam was hilariously cute. As was seeing how incredibly excited they were to realize she was still here, and see her again. I'm so glad they've got their friend back, and Thor's got her back, and just...yay :D! I also LOVED the story about Thor, Sasappis, and Isaac all being stuck in the well...and with a Puritan ghost name Patience to boot :p! I want some flashbacks to that time period now, that'd make for a hilarious scene (and LOL at Isaac just shoving his way in and taking over telling the story about the well adventure and Sasappis being all, "...really?"). Also, we found out who got sucked off! Poor Stephanie, though. That sucks. Whew. Okay. Well. That was a LOT for an episode. Brave of this show to take that kind of risk in going there with that backstory - I hope people respond to it as intended. I can't believe we've only got two episodes left this season! Can't wait to see how these last couple play out.
  9. If I remember right, they went to high school together.
  10. The reveal of Hetty's secret was so powerful. The ability to balance the heavy things with the comedy is one of the reasons why I love this show. Flower revealing her secret made me laugh out loud. It was obvious, but wonderful. The lack of award show recognition for this show is odd and annoying.
  11. A little bit. Though if I remember right, in that Short Trek, Zora had been abandoned for hundreds of years, but was still operating without much issue. I know Zora is just AI, but there was something very touching and sad when Zora asked Burnham if she was real or if this was just a dream.
  12. No spoilers that was heartbreaking. Give Rebecca Wisocki the Emmy now.
  13. Definitely was not expecting that method of death for Hetty
  14. That's a "beef" I have with some challenges (sorry about the pun). It's been noted before - a wrong attempt should always require a return to some starting point, and there really should always be a ticking clock. Otherwise teams can just sit in place and guess away by brute force until they get it. Especially in a challenge with limited stations, you need to have a ticking clock to force teams to either get it done or get kicked to the back of the line.
  15. Please take the Danny Romalotti, International Rock Star storyline out back and shoot it - no one's buying it anymore. Danny or Cricket?
  16. Eric Martsolf was nominated for Lead Actor and Tamara Braun was nominated for Lead Actress. I think Ari was robbed. I would have nominated her over Tamara.
  17. Haven't we seen a scenario like this before, straight out of a Columbo episode and the ending was just is like some the last 10 minutes of an Matlock trial.
  18. I thought of the 13 original colonies & got Connecticut right away. And I always get the "Lauras" mixed up, and said Laura Dern :)
  19. I mean, Maxine also stole her jewelry and a lot of her money.
  20. I thought he looked like Sheldon too! So it took a porta potty to finally break Mandy into moving in with her parents and Mary into taking dirty money. Don't blame them. Like Sheldon, I wouldn’t want to use it…though why didn’t he just go in the bushes instead of using the Sparks’ chicken coop? Audrey continues to be the worst bitch.
  21. All the crazy facial expressions Maya Rudolph made while sitting with Benjamin Bratt were pretty darn funny.
  22. Frank was super cute in this episode with his enthusiasm towards settling down and monogamy. Too bad it didn't work out with that woman.
  23. And yet, they disliked Rasika's dish, because every component — the fish and both sauces — was very salty. I noticed that at Judges' Table, every time they showed Rasika, she had a kind of sour look. We didn't see them address her, but we know they edit way down for time, so I assume they told her her dish was kind of a fail for its saltiness. As it happens, Michelle's dessert, even with not enough pineapple (second thing she gave up for the team) was more successful with the judges. I think it was because, as Amanda said in a talking head, they both cook Japanese (or Japanese-inspired) food, so I assume they were both heeding Kristen's advice to "cook your food." Anyway, nice to see Amanda distinguish herself with a widely praised dish. She hasn't been very successful so far.
  24. This is a really tough show to watch. The story is horrifying, as it is everything about kids' violence. I am not really sure I will keep watching. It is well made, Lily is AMAZING as usual, but I am not sure I will be able to handle if they show what really happened to Reena. The whole thing is so damn depressing... So far the weakest link is the character of Rebecca, I do not think it is the actress (Elvis granddaughter, I did not know), I think it is her story or the way they decided to portray her.
  25. Because Anthony had one bad charter with a group of uber demanding people with 67 food restrictions, all egged on by supreme harridan Jill. Barbie owned her part in the lunch fiasco by writing confusing notes for chef. Rachael had a few rough breakfasts when the chief stew took sloppy, confusing notes. No one wanted to boot her foul mouthed ass off the boat…lnotbafter she walked off and quit in a huff. And Anthony is struggling now because he is not supported or getting encouragement from anyone. We have Fucking Fraser walking through the kitchen and muttering shit about Anthony to everyone instead of being constructive. He tattles to Captain Kerry and gets him all spun up. As someone with a French mother, who lived in New Orleans for many years, loves finr dining, enjoys cooking, and enjoys food porn more, Anthony is one of the best chefs we have ever seen on any of these franchises. On top of that, he makes beautiful food for the crew, and we never see them having to order out food because the chef is too busy preparing food for guests.. We see that a lot on Below Deck Med and quite a few times with Ben previously on this show. Why can Anthony get the same benefit? So if Anthony’s struggle is affecting everybody’s tip, wouldn’t it be in their best interest, particularly Fraser’s, to jump in and help him? This is exactly why Kate had intensive tutorial sessions with Chef Matt one season because she was pissed that his shitty cooking was gonna hurt their tips. She didn’t do it out of love or the goodness of her heart. If they’re truly worried about the chef ruining their tips, the logical solution is for everybody to jump in and lend a hand, unless the story line is to let Anthony fail enough to get fired. Why have we seen the crew help out with clean up and prep on other shows in the franchise and not this one? And why would they leave that footage out. It only would prove the point that Anthony is truly in over his head. Maybe Anthony is being set up to fail, or at least struggle. Right, but Kerry already said it would be next to impossible to find a replacement for Anthony. So if Mr. Fixit isn’t trying to fix it, maybe it is a story line. But it would certainly help. Have you ever seen a fine dining kitchen in action? There are sous chefs, line cooks, sauciers, expediters food preppers, pastry chefs, and dish washers. Having a sous chef to help with prep and clean up would give the chef more time and mental to menu plan and perhaps work around his challenges with dyslexia. I doubt any company could get away with firing an employee because their dyslexia interfered with their reading without first trying to make reasonable accommodations first. The first solution can’t be, “His dyslexia, prevents him from reading the preference sheets, so let’s throw them overboard.”’ Not a good look in this day and age. After watching this show for years, I am seeing a pattern of the guests getting more demanding with food requests and restrictions, and the support for the chef decreasing. If the boat is big enough for four stews, the chef needs an assistant in the kitchen, particularly if they are serious about 7 star service. But we all know they are more interested in seven star drama, then actually providing a refined, elevated experience. And we all know that it what the producers are paid to do - gin up the drama, the tension, and the failure. Can’t have any dramatic firings if everyone is supported and successful in their jobs. 😉
  26. You are killing me here boes. Remember when Rudy Guiliani's hair dye slowly and then quickly ran down his face? My husband and I were watching that fiasco live and I think our eyes popped out of our heads. I would love to see that happen to Danny as he sweats at a concert(not a political statement)
