    S10:12 Tell All: Part 1

Indeed! If not INTO heaven, at least a better table. Mariah is actually child #3...both Janelle and Christine beat Meri to that finish line.

S31E01: You're In Our Race Now

Jeff and Jackie from the blind dating season were on Big Brother Season 17. Phil also appeared on that season as part of the "BB takeover" twist.

    Episode Discussion: TFGH

Things I'm tired of hearing about: Joss' feelings and pain (stop making the dying kid feel like it's his responsibility to console you through HIS death), how fucking awesome Sam is (not even a little bit), Jason's fortune cookie-esque notions on grief (the day Jason finds an emotion is the day I need to be resuscitated), and Anna's woes over maybe not being Robin's mom (fuck you, show, for even considering it). I'm so ready for this stuff to be wrapped up and in the rear-view window, I can't even tell you. I do want to give credit to Neil for having the line of the day: "Have you ever seen glass shatter, Sonny?" Oh, Neil, you really are new here, aren't you?

    Season Six Discussion

The Russian Restaurant was weird. Is that the way they normally run things? Or did TLC set up something different for them so that they could try different dishes rather than ordering off a menu. Russians are really not known for their cuisine. Did they really just pick one at random? I also don't know why they were so afraid to ask the waitress what each item was. Especially this day in age when you have to worry about food allergies. NY pizza is awesome. I don't understand why they felt the need to eat it outside while it was raining.

I don't know...when you commit to a penalty, are you stuck with it? Maybe...probably? At that point, the one guy (I can't remember which one is which) was done. Done-done-done. Even if he miraculously recovered from the cramps, he just flat out gave up. At that point, they were gambling that Rupert and Laura would get lost again on their way to the mat and they could finish their penalty and still beat them to the Phil greeting. After having observed Rupert's total incompetence throughout the show, this was not a bad or ill-conceived gamble.

    The Perfectionists

While I'm all for expressing opinions, I must say that the idea of someone continuing to watch a show when they dislike pretty much everything about it is baffling to me.

    Season 7 2019 Rewatch

Yah. I dithered about the reason myself. I knew it would be to cauterize in any other show, but thought that being killed/ wounded by a zomboni would also start the turning process. At Hardhome those who died and turned were not all killed by WW. But, again, we DID see the Night King make the "All Rise" motion, so it may have been down to him that the dead reanimated. He HAS become a lot more powerful over the seasons. I suppose that Thoros wasn't injured badly enough to require intervention (like I thought when I wrote that). The only method of intervention we know of, requires the insertion of dragonglass into the heart. (ala Benjen but we know he was attacked by WW) This IS annoying isn't it. The they-don't-need-to-know imperative of the show runner. We got that same kind of approach in all of the Winterfell scenes this episode. Sansa and Arya, all of a sudden, start acting like when they were children! We buy into it because it is familiar, but it was in "stark" contrast to how they had related to each other in the preceding episodes.

    Completely Unspoiled Speculation Thread

Something like that, but, after adjusting my caffeine level, I see a flaw - The NK used the mark he put on Bran to find the 3ER cave. If he needed the 3ER to stop the cycle and "pull the thorn from his paw", why kill the Max von Sydow version of the 3ER without a second glance? Why would it have to be the Bran version of the 3ER who ends the cycle, and not the original version? Also, as a former human, wouldn't he understand that the best way to get help (rather than inducing flight) might not be to send a swarm of undead zombonis chasing after your potential helper? Hmmm...

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

Well, I'll be the first to say I don't make a difference in the world - I'm an artist, just a small-timer not making any grand political statements etc. I'm okay with that. Not everyone has to be a philanthropist or otherwise devoted to the betterment of the world. I don't see that a sports bettor is making the world an appreciably worse place so I'm fine with that. As for having plenty of money already and yet still wanting to acquire more on Jeopardy - I don't see that as a crime either. Who knows what he is going to do with it and what effect that will have. I am intrigued by his success and the excerpts from the interviews remind me that we only see such a small slice of who a person is on the show.

    S07.E16 Lashanta's Story

For some reason, the moment I saw her wig at the beginning, I knew this wouldn't go well. I have no idea why the wig was my big tip-off, but I just couldn't see success in that wig. And lordy, when a woman is telling a sad story about "doing what they have to" to support their kids, I usually assume stripping—which hey, strip away, I don't care. But when she was like, "I never prostituted myself" I was like, "Wait, what did I miss? Who said she was a prostitute?" And then my mind wandered as to what she was doing that was so similar or close to prostitution that she felt the need to disclaim it, and then I was all, "oh, so she was a prostitute." Heh. Which, again, not a healthy life choice but I don't judge. Then again, I believe all of this conversation was happening shortly after she peed off the side of her bed and I still can't get over that. I was easily confused, lol. And her blase attitude about her son being in prison was alarming. But this whole episode alarmed me.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

Thanks for the vote of confidence, @SHD. I did get 24 correct on yesterday's game, counting FJ. That left 37 I did not know. I even missed all but one of President's Dogs. How sad is that? I guess Fala and Barney and Millie were clues in J6, which I did not play. As for James being shamed because he's a professional sports gambler instead of a Nobel-Prize-winning biophysicist or something that could "save the world," I put myself through college and worked my whole life to support myself. But if I were never born, nothing in the world would be changed. Maybe a few dog-show records would be different, but that's hardly earth shaking or society saving. So count me as big of a slacker as James. I hope everyone, including James, has been blessed with having an income from something he or she loves, something that makes that person happy. That's all I wish for anyone, including James.

The Duggalos: Jinger and the Holy Goalie

On the other hand, JB and M were clearly very good at gaslighting and brainwashing children. Their level of success there is nothing short of mind-boggling. ; ) So, hey, I guess we're all good at different things! ; )
  21. I wonder if stream is coming out of Jessa's ears because Deredick is going to school and building a new house, and Jermeme and Jinger is moving to LA for a new adventure, and Benny is doing nothing major exciting.

ADA Peter Stone: Mothership Legacy Kid

Could this be a probable reason why the story lines have been kind of substandard? I don't keep up with the going-ons of the labor talks of the unions concerning the entertainment industry. Do tv shows bid on episode scripts (or script writing teams) and the best ones go for the most money?

S31E01: You're In Our Race Now

You’d think by this time I’d know, but I don’t— when Rupert and Laura showed up at the mountain could Art or JJ (whichever was doing the task) have tried completing it again? Or were they committed to the 4 hour wait? I mean, at that point what was there to lose by trying and trying until it was over? It looked like some of the teams were more disadvantaged by drizzle making the mountain extra slippery. And Mike White almost won last season.

From Across The Pond: Royal Weddings and Scandals

You noticed that too, huh? Without violating the boards on boards rule, I feel the same way. And I'm left feeling like I "just don't get it" if I mention it. Anyway, back on topic. Meghan is such a lovely woman and I can't wait to see the newest royal. As others have mentioned above, though, I'm willing to wait until Meghan and Harry are ready for the reveal. I'm still Team Kate though! 😉
