This sub-forum's status has been updated from Red to Yellow Light. As we embrace the lively conversations unfolding here, there's still potential for growth to align with our community standards of respectful and inclusive dialogue.

This issue centers on acts of unkindness: unkind thread names foster an unwelcoming environment and that, in turn, can let unkindness in the topic appear more natural. That is why these topics have been marked with a red light. Many have expressed confusion and concern about what this signifies and how to make the necessary change. 

Let’s shift the focus from the person to their actions, fostering a space where every participant feels respected in their humanity. Consider how your words might influence not only current members but also those who observe from afar and how it shapes their perception of our forum's culture.

We're transitioning to yellow to acknowledge the efforts and care shown by many in our community. We will maintain this Yellow Light status until we observe a broader adoption of a more inclusive tone across multiple threads.

 

Here's what we're focusing on:

- Improvement Period: We have until April 29, 2024, to enhance the quality of our discussions.

- Guidance: Highlighting what works well and identifying areas for growth are crucial. Our aim is constructive, respectful dialogue that includes all perspectives. The principle of kindness and inclusivity applies to everyone, even to the Duggars. (Please note that that doesn’t mean you have to condone everything they say and do. What it primarily means is that comments should be mindful of their humanity).

- Assistance: If you’re unsure about contributing constructively, please consult our guidelines for helpful advice and best practices.

- Your Contribution: Your active, respectful participation can help guide our discussions toward a Green Light status.
